Stayed for 9 nights in April. Thanks for the upgrade on arrival. Rooms are very clean & comfortable, with large balcony overlooking the pool. Good fridge, TV, wifi, & aircon. Large, clean bathroom - shower & bath are fine but probably due for an upgrade. Excellent buffet breakfast offering. Pool is large & clean & in excellent condition. A couple of very minor negatives: if (per the signs in the bathrooms) the resort is serious about the environment, stop putting the cutlery in single-use plastic wrapping. & please, rotate the (awful whiny pop) music playing at the pool/bar/restaurant. All staff at R Mar are wonderful & friendly, & I recommend the resort to anyone visiting Patong.

Room - Large, clean with all the necessary amenities, However the shower is poor, old, and not welcoming. The mattress is very hard, for some people it may be suitable but for others not. Bottom line - If you're looking for a reasonable price resort near Patong Beach - go for it.

Great place to stay. Building view rooms look outwards from resort. Garden view room would have been quieter I think. Next time I would pay the extra money for the garden view room. Great location, close to everything. Nice pool area. Good short cut to the beach down the laneway. Heaps of good dining options nearby. Great medium priced option. Good facilities and good price. If we come back to Phuket again we would stay here.

The grounds/ gardens are very nice, good to look at trees and flowers. Room was good, bathroom was badly lit. Also bath taps were so far back that you need to get in to turn them on? Everyday I hung my towel up, indicating no need to change. It was replaced every time, totally unnecessary. Staff were all great. Location is near many shops and restaurants. Pool was great.

We had stayed at the R mar years ago and loved it, so wanted to get back to enjoy the great pool, massages available. It was just the same. Staff very polite and helpful, breakfast was great, with good variety. Rooms were sufficient size with a lovely balcony. We would return again.

Had a fantastic stay at the R-Mar, it is a short walk to all the night life action, shopping & beach. Resort pool with swim up bar was awesome & all the staff were super friendly & very attentive. Rooms are clean & simple, serviced daily & as it isn’t a huge resort it felt quiet & relaxing even so close to Bangla Rd.

We totally enjoyed our stay. I live in Thailand and this is te best overall friendly service we have found. Checkin was easy and room was very good. Cleanliness was excellant. Minor compaint bed was bit hard ansd the shower over bath would be very dangerous. Especially if old and unsteady or drunk and too much Yaba. Besides this still would give 9 out 10. Breakfast and pool amazing.

R-Mar has lots of positives, good location good pool, nice big rooms but bathrooms are a bit of a hazard with shower over the bath setup. We have stayed at this property on four seperate occasions over the past 10 years, it offers good value for money and is clean and beds are comfortable. Breakfast buffet is available for 200baht per person which is good value, also lots of other dining options handy as well.

Bit of a love hate with this hotel. We spent 7 nights here and the general hotel area is good and well presented the bathrooms are very dated and why a bath ?. loved the pool area and staff .Hated we was on the 3rd floor and no lifts? Loved they did a free BBQ for songkran festival. Hated was accused of stealing a Face towel on departure ? they check the room before you can leave .

Resort was very good overall.... Although, rooms can be very noisy though, plus marijuana smell from people smoking wasn't good.. Taxi pickup to airport, we asked for a car and got a bus, which was very very slow and frustrating as we were on a time schedule to airport.

The resort is located very near Soi Paradise, Bangla Street, and Patong beach, but as it is off the main road, manages to be peaceful on hotel grounds. The room itself was a little dated, having a lighting control panel that was all the way into the room. Also, while the bath tub was quite large, the faucets were a little old, and some corners of the bath had dark spots. On a whole, great stay, friendly staff, and convenient location.

I’ve stayed here a few times now, this last time was my worst. I didn’t receive a VIP upgrade, even after I stated that I was eligible. Room was ok, but rooms next to me were very very noisey in the early morning, staff were notified, but did nothing. Not even an offer to change rooms… Breakfast meals are ok Staff are friendly,

A total waste of money. Horrible junk view from Balcony, room gets infested with mosquitos if left open for few seconds. Unfriendly staff, can't even communicate properly, housekeeping stole sovuvenir items bought (kept on table when went out). Nil hot water in wash basin, jet spray not working properly. For airport transfer, asked THB 1200 bucks against THB 800 displayed at reception. Much much better options available at same or lower prices

R Mar is conveniently located. It has a shortcut route to the beach, walkable distance to Bangla Road and jungceylon.The suite at R Mar is really comfortable. A nice size resort tuck in the center of various amenities.

Middel hotel, under hele opholdet var der larm fra renovering af nogle værelser på hotellet og stærk lugt af dampe fra maling. Badeværelset var lille og adgang til bruseren (i badekaret) var besværlig, og ikke egnet til ældre mennesker eller mennesker med gangproblemer. næsten ingen plads til at opbevare div på badeværelset. altanen er meget smal og ikke særlig anvendelig. Personalet var flinke og hjælpsom, Morgen maden er nok den dårligste morgen mad jeg har fået på et hotel i Thailand, så gik ud i byen og spiste morgenmad da hotellets ikke var værd at spise. Hotellets pool er stor og have er fin, og der er god plads og masser af liggestole ved poolen. ved ankomst bliver man oplyst om at hvis man har booket rum/morgenmad til 2 personer, og kommer alene, kan man tage gæster med på hotellet uden ekstra beregning (altså- girl friendly hotel) sikkert relevant oplysning for mange rejsende. Generelt var opholdet på hotellet ikke tilfredsstillende, og jeg vil ikke besøge hotellet igen, der er mange hoteller i Patong hvor man får mere for sine penge.

Das R Mar Resort and Spa ist einfach fantastisch! Die Lage ist perfekt – sehr zentral und dennoch angenehm ruhig. Das Hotel selbst ist wunderschön gestaltet, und die Zimmer sind geräumig, sauber und sehr komfortabel. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das unglaublich freundliche und hilfsbereite Personal, das den Aufenthalt noch angenehmer macht. Das Frühstück bietet eine große Auswahl und lässt keine Wünsche offen. Wir haben uns rundum wohlgefühlt und kommen definitiv wieder!

Da vi er guld medlemmer hos Hotels.com blev vi opgraderet til suite. Alt personale fra reception til havemanden, var utrolige søde og hilste når vi mødte dem. Skøn morgen buffet, med æg station, hvor der kan vælges mellem 8 forskellige måder at få æg på (der er billeder af mulighederne) Bacon og nudel station. Gode solvogne og madraser. Der er en lille genvej til stranden, når man kommer lige uden for R-Mars grund går man til venstre og helt for enden (ligner en dør, der har de skrevet et skilt (WOK og en pil til højre) WOK = WALK det er en meget smal flise gang ca. 25 m og for enden gå til højre, så er man nede ved strandvejen. Pool håndklæder udleveres ved restauranten, hvor man kvittere for modtagelsen og de afleveres ved pool baren og du skal skrive hvornår du har afleveret disse ved restauranten. Strand håndklæder kan lånes i receptionen. Skøn restaurant, god mad, hvor man kan sidde under tag, men udenfor eller i lokale med aircon. Pool er ca. 20m lang og der er separat børnepool. Haveanlægget omkring pool og bygningerne er velplejet. R-Mar ligger tæt på strand, Bangla Road, indkøb men meget stille fordi det ligger ned ad en sidevej fra hovedgaden.
