We loved everything about this property, from the amenties to the food. It is a huge complex with three pools, and 5 restaurants to choose from. The staff are friendly and the facility is beautiful. The beach is nice, but the time we went it was rough so we did not swim in it. Instead, we got to explore the reef during low tide and see the fish and other marine life. There is a free shuttle to Patong which makes it very convienent. We can't wait to go back again one day!

Lots of hotel activities for both adults and children. Stayed for 3 nights and still so much yet to enjoy! It’s a resort you can stay without going outside! But Patong Elephant Care is a short 5-min walk away (through the beach route), worth spending an hour or two there!

For us this was just about the perfect holiday. The entire compound is well thought out and caters to the needs of families with children, couples, friends and the smorgasbord that is the human diaspora. We went as a full board family with other relatives and friends with different packages. The restaurants (about 6-7!) are generally really good in their individual cuisines with faultless service. The seafood is fresh, the coconuts are exquisite, and mocktails/fruit juices are freshly prepared. Breakfast offers a good variety that will cater to almost everyone’s taste bud. Out favourite was the Thai pantry but you have to book in advance due to it’s exclusiveness and smaller outlay. The beach offers a beautiful rocky outcrop with corals that are full of fishes that you can wade in at low tide amongst the rock pools. It’s excellent for young children to get in touch with nature. The pool, kids room, random assortment of multiple games and activities at all hours of the day, just offer an endless, non intrusive and customised, often surprising, variety for anyone to satiate their curiosity, taste or interest. The gym is well equipped with 24 hour access. Room service, concierge and all aspects of customer interaction was just excellent. Location is also a short distance to Patong with all the variety that comes with it, yet offers a strong exclusiveness because of its location and private beach. It was an unforgettable stay and we will 100% be back soon.

Beautiful resort, staff are friendly, polite, professional and helpful. The resort has the private beach access but quite rocky (but also still can swim and do snorkel). So many activities to catch up whole day and everyday. Happy hour applied to many resort's bars from the afternoon daily. The resort is 15 mins drive from Patong main area. You need transports to travel between hotel to other places (highly reccommened to rent a car or motorbike as taxi services are expensive).

Plenty of food options that are reasonably priced. 3 pool areas though we liked the quieter one at the back of the property. The snorkeling was good by Thailand standards, though the hotel gives guests shoes to just walk over corals. So you have to swim out 50m to see interesting stuff that's not been trampled or bashed by boats. Negative is that the don't stop outsiders from entering the pools and using the sun loungers. I saw multiple back packers arrive on scooters access the hotel from the beach and grab a towel and use up the hotel sun loungers. There is a security guard but he seems to be just for show. The hotel really needs wristbands to stop this. Not to sound snobbish but when you are paying £400-600 a night you don't expect non guests to be using the facilities.

The private beach was beautiful and convenient. The property is a bit tucked away but that didnt bother us too much. Free daily shuttle to/from Patong Beach. Wide food selection. Spa was amazing. Pools were fun and family friendly. Lots of activities for kids I would recommend having enough clean clothes for your entire stay or get laundry done outside the hotel. We got 12 pieces washed and cost us about 1700THB at the hotel. Overall, excellent family vacation thanks to Marriott Phuket and staff!

This place exceeded all my expectations! So many on site amenities and activities going on daily. Amazing food in all the restaurants and just a beautiful hotel with 3 huge pools situated right on a beautiful white sand beach with turquoise water. I have to shout out a few staff members. Bas at the rum shack was awesome! We loved going there during the evenings with live music and great drinks. His customer service and attention to detail really elevated our stay here to above 5 star! Petch with the room service staff was very kind and personable. After our first day running into him throughout the resort he remembered our names and from then on whenever he was at our service he was so nice and seemed genuinely happy to have us there as guests. Again this was another wow factor that can’t be matched. Lastly we would like to thank Tuk the manager at breakfast. You could tell this is a really well run establishment and the breakfast crew moves like clockwork. All the staff at breakfast was very nice and accommodating to us and you could tell it all starts with her leading such a great group of people. We stayed at multiple other 5 star hotels and resorts in all of Thailand on our trip but this one definitely takes the cake. The amenities and the high level of service provided here are just unmatched. If you are staying in Phuket this is the place you NEED to stay at. If I am ever so fortunate to return to this paradise I will stay here again for sure!

We had spent 12 wonderful days at this hotel and we never felt boring. The hotel provides many facilities and activities for families. Swimming pools are big and provided more than enough pool side chairs which you can easily find your space anytime. No stress to find a chair and you can spend whole day around the pool. The environment was excellent, with a nice private beach. All staffs were helpful and polite, always with smile face even they were handling with some unreasonable guests (which I saw quite of the guests they didn't follow basic rules, not willing to line up at the breakfast buffet, etc). The staffs still asking the guests politely and patiently to sign and line up and they arrange the tables as soon as they can. Even the cleaners who cannot speak fluent English, they still say good morning to us with a friendly smile. As a frequently traveler, this is my first time to hear "safe flight home" from the cleaners when we were about to leave. What a successful management! Hotel food were excellent and there were many choices for families, like Starbucks, burger fast food, beer corner, Thai, Italian and buffet etc. This is one of the most satisfied hotels we had ever stayed at and we will definitely come back again.

Staff was excellent. Pools need cleaning more frequent, pillows need replacement as some had smell because of humidity. Entire resort needs refurbisment outside to be 5 star resort. Rooms were clean, modern and spacious.Restaurants were nice, food good and staff excellent.

Booked a sea view room 6+ months early, but was provided a room with a partial sea view from the balcony. Breakfast is an international spread but bland, and poor service. Room corridors footh paths are stained and dirty. The room was clean, sanitised and well-maintained. The hotel offers a range of activities for all ages. Clean private beach.

We booked a room with pool access and that pool was filthy every single day! Nobody cleans it properly. You can see someone cleaning it for about 5 min. Pool that size should be cleaned every day for at least an hour! I complained a few times to receptionist but they just didnt seem to understand the problem. I said we are just coming from our room, wanted to use pool but its so dirty, so much hair in it, bugs and leaves, she calls someone and with a big smile on her face proudly announced they cleaned it at 12 pm. No, its 1pm now, we were JUST there its dirty. Again she says its clean now. So staff can’t really understand anything. We escalated this to manager, Joao I think was his name, he tried his best but staff just can’t do their job properly! Second problem was that our first door neighbors were having the loudest parry every night. When I called front desk they said security is on the way many people also complained. But they would do it next night and again next night. We did early excursions like many other people so when you cant sleep at all nothing is fun. Many people complained and management just did nothing. Our vacation was bad. Being sleep deprived and getting skin infections from a dirty pool. I travel a lot and I know to tell a difference between a good and bad management. Other things that we didnt like is that ice cream shop and coffee shops are open until 6pm, there is no store on a property, buffet restaurant is like a sauna. Overall awful.

We escalated this to manager, Joao I think was his name, he tried his best but staff just can’t do their job properly! Second problem was that our first door neighbors were having the loudest parry every night. When I called front desk they said security is on the way many people also complained. But they would do it next night and again next night. We did early excursions like many other people so when you cant sleep at all nothing is fun. Many people complained and management just did nothing. Our vacation was bad. Being sleep deprived and getting skin infections from a dirty pool. I travel a lot and I know to tell a difference between a good and bad management. Other things that we didnt like is that ice cream shop and coffee shops are open until 6pm, there is no store on a property, buffet restaurant is like a sauna. Overall awful.

This is not a 5 star resort. The rooms had a smell of damp and mould and walls were paper thin so we could hear other residents yelling at 3am. If you are a fan of screaming kids, or have screaming kids and want them to run everywhere and ruin the experience for everyone then this is the hotel for you. It was all inclusive but most options are not part of the deal so you end up paying extra. My wife got food poisoning on the second day after eating one of their Chicken Gyros - as apart from that we ate mostly the same foods - and that meant she was stuck in the room for several days. They constantly setup weddings outside your room so don't expect much privacy or any sense of relaxation. On the few days that we managed to make it to the poolside and not vomiting, there was very little to do except listen to children shouting out of control with parents too drunk to care. It is a long way from Phuket airport so I would suggest just avoid altogether unless you hate yourself and want to waste money

Overall we had a great time at this hotel. We booked it with an all inclusive package. The pools are spectacular and span the entire property. Great service from staff. The one thing we were a bit surprised by was that the beach in the hotel is a reef so unless snorkelling not really an area to stay and float in the ocean. Other oceans nearby however they are not associated with the all inclusive package so if you leave you lose your benefits. The hotel is in a lovely location, with easy access to a beautiful beach. The property itself is dated and needs modernising. The restaurants are very close together and everything feels very crowded and not spaced out enough. There are a lot of dead bugs etc on the walkways that aren’t cleaned up. The drinks and breakfast are very good and the service was perfect.

I booked a swim up room which was amazing. Very quiet and clean. Staff were friendly, dining options plentiful, and great variety of amenities. Buffet breakfast was amazing. Loved the ability to snorkel on a beautiful white sand beach.

Fantastic stay at the Phuket Marriott resort.. Hotel is well located near Patong and about 30 mins from Phuket. Room was lovely, well presented and we woke to a fantastic view of the sea every morning. Hotel is excellent, I would struggle to find fault. Staff were particularly friendly and very helpful; plenty to eat in many restaurants; bar was great and the girls serving us were lovely and friendly. The swimming pool is superb, lots to do at the hotel. I can recommend the hotel without any reservations..

Hotel Beach is not good. Stone everywhere and they are quite sharp. There is construction going on next to hotel. Which make impossible to sleep after 6am. Location is also not great. Spent a lot calling grab every time. I had sea view room. Room is big but very oddly layout of bathroom door. Sliding bathroom caused issues while one person using mirror in the room, other person have to be very careful when open the bathroom door. Breakfast is not good at all. Hotel have Indian food alongside other dish, Didn’t understand the logic of serving same south India food everyday. Naan roti was so bad, you will break your teeth. Was expecting better food from Marriott’s.

We had an incredible stay at the Marriott Phuket Merlin Beach. Our swim-out room was absolutely amazing — the perfect blend of luxury and relaxation. The beds were extremely comfortable, and we especially loved the day bed on our patio, where we spent many afternoons napping and soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. The staff and amenities were fantastic from start to finish. The food and drinks were delicious, and everyone we met went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. A very special thank you to Ice, whose compassion and understanding during a family issue meant more to me than he knows. His assistance was truly appreciated. And a big thank you as well to Dew, who greeted us with such warmth every day — he is the sweetest young man and always made us feel welcome. We highly recommend this resort and would return in a heartbeat!

Resort was great really enjoyed it and staff very helpful. Only thing is be prepared for so many flies and at check in i was told my room was ready for me, but for me to get it at that time i would have to pay additional charge. We did get to hotel early but if the room is ready and no extra staff nor work was needed to get room ready why pay extra. So in other words the room would sit there empty until it was 3pm and then i can access it. I would understand if a rush clean up or extra staff needed to get it ready but it was ready, so ofcourse i paid but feel it was not called for since it was ready and waiting for me. Other than that was great

I was very, very upset by the fact that I paid for "ALL INCLUSIVE " and the hotel charges additional costs for room service and breakfast. The Marriott at Merlin Beach is one of the most expensive resorts in Phuket and there is no need for these additional charges. Overall the stay was nice with good facilities, especially for those with kids. However, check in was a very slow process and I had to wait around 20 minutes before being served. Also, my booking stated I would be entitled to free kids meals (once a day) for my kids but this was just a gimmick and the catch was the kids eat free if you choose to eat at their buffet for dinner only (and the catch was the adults had to pay). Not much of a benefit especially when you have a 3 and a 4 year old who hardly eat anything….

We and many other giests were walking back in with bags full of groceries. And this was after we had taken a taxi every night to get food and thats because the cost per person at the hotel for upgraded board was nowhere near sensible.

The only issue I had is the resort charged me over $5000 accomodation when I already paid via Expedia. It’s been a month since getting back home and I’m still trying to recover to remaining amount. They did credit me most of it but I’m still chasing over 300aud which is crazy when I did nothing wrong Disgraceful service from such a large corporation

We traveled as a family of four with our 11- and 8-year-olds and stayed at the resort for four days. The kids had a fantastic time, snorkeling and kayaking at the beach, foam party in the family pool. The hotel organizes plenty of activities and there’s a wide variety of food to choose from. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our stay. The resort is located on a hill, so we used Grab to get to Patong Beach. Overall, we definitely recommend this resort for families!

All the restaurants have great staff and pretty much everyone we ran into. There isn’t too much around the property but a couple of convenient stores. You have to walk down to the Patong beach for a couple miles up and down hill if you want livelier area. However, the resort had a lot of things to do. The beach was ok during high tide but when low tide hits, you can see a lot of the corrals and what you would have been walking into if it was high tide. The sand felt rough and the waves were strong in July. But it’s probably because of the season. Overall, we enjoyed the resort and the pools were amazing!

Beautiful resort, staff are friendly, polite, professional and helpful. The resort has the private beach access but quite rocky (but also still can swim and do snorkel). So many activities to catch up whole day and everyday. Happy hour applied to many resort's bars from the afternoon daily. The resort is 15 mins drive from Patong main area. You need transports to travel between hotel to other places (highly reccommened to rent a car or motorbike as taxi services are expensive).

Top Service. Freundliches Personal. Umfangreiches Frühstücksbuffet. Sauber und angenehme Pooltemperatur. Leider war das mehr ein wenig felsig. Auch liegt das hotel abgelegen und es schwer nach Padong zu kommen. Es wurde ein kostenloser Shuttlebus angeboten. Der aber nur 3 mal Oder 4 mal hinfährt und die letzte Rückfahrt um 20 Uhr ist. Ein wenig ungünstig die Zeiten.

The property is nice, however, I didn’t like how far it seemed from everything. They had a dedicated taxi stand across the street that charged 250B to take you to Patong Beach and a shuttle that charged 100B/person. If you don’t plan to leave the property - it’s perfect. Away from everything, quiet and not a lot of foot/vehicle traffic.

The beach was well maintained. Ceviche that my husband ordered from beach grill was partially frozen and a buffet at the same place the next night had a great selection of food…that had clearly been sitting out for a few hours by the time we sat down to eat around 8:30pm. I think they filled the buffet right at opening and never replenished it. That was extremely disappointing. If you advertise a buffet until 10:30, the food should be freshly prepared more than just at opening. I don’t want to blame the property because it could have been a few factors, but I spent a week in northern Thailand before going to the marriot and I didn’t have any stomach issues until eating nothing but the food and drinks at marriot for 24 hours. I spent half a day running to the toilet. My husband’s stomach hurt after eating the partially frozen food at beach grill. It is possible that the drink I had at the pool got some water in it or that I didn’t wash my hands well enough at the pool bathroom because there was no hot water. But, I ate street food in another province without issues, so do with that information what you will.

We loved everything about this property, from the amenties to the food. It is a huge complex with three pools, and 5 restaurants to choose from. The staff are friendly and the facility is beautiful. The beach is nice, but the time we went it was rough so we did not swim in it. Instead, we got to explore the reef during low tide and see the fish and other marine life. There is a free shuttle to Patong which makes it very convienent. We can't wait to go back again one day!

Lovely stay at this resort The staff was always very respectful and responsive. If going with family, this resort has a lot of activities for kids to do, and rarely get bored. I do hope that the all inclusive package includes all meals as we noticed we couldnt eat certain foods at the restaurants or we were given different menu. To make the experience really All inclusive.

For us this was just about the perfect holiday. The entire compound is well thought out and caters to the needs of families with children, couples, friends and the smorgasbord that is the human diaspora. We went as a full board family with other relatives and friends with different packages. The restaurants (about 6-7!) are generally really good in their individual cuisines with faultless service. The seafood is fresh, the coconuts are exquisite, and mocktails/fruit juices are freshly prepared. Breakfast offers a good variety that will cater to almost everyone’s taste bud. Out favourite was the Thai pantry but you have to book in advance due to it’s exclusiveness and smaller outlay. The beach offers a beautiful rocky outcrop with corals that are full of fishes that you can wade in at low tide amongst the rock pools. It’s excellent for young children to get in touch with nature. The pool, kids room, random assortment of multiple games and activities at all hours of the day, just offer an endless, non intrusive and customised, often surprising, variety for anyone to satiate their curiosity, taste or interest. The gym is well equipped with 24 hour access. Room service, concierge and all aspects of customer interaction was just excellent. Location is also a short distance to Patong with all the variety that comes with it, yet offers a strong exclusiveness because of its location and private beach. It was an unforgettable stay and we will 100% be back soon.

Alle Mitarbeiter waren unheimlich freundlich. Leider hatte ich zwei mal mit Lebensmittelvergiftungen zu kämpfen. Meine Frau ebenfalls ein mal. Von vielen anderen Hotelgästen habe ich auch mitbekommen, dass sie betroffen waren. Da wir aufgrund der Umstände unseren halben Aufenthalt auf dem Zimmer verbringen mussten, schaue ich nicht nur positiv auf diesen Urlaub zurück.

Property was nice, staff and service fantastic. Room was clean but not much of a pool view as described. The room we had was next to the main road so quite noisy, breakfast was reasonable but with limited choice of food, the food was cold and not very well executed, for me the lack of insect control was an issue, flies etc crawling over exposed food not what I would expect from a 5 star establishment. Also the western food that was available at breakfast and say from the lounge again was poorly cooked and not very well executed quite disappointing.

We returned to the Phuket Marriot for the second time. It was just as good as the first. Amazing facilities and friendly staff. Our room was spacious and well appointed. The bed was very comfortable and the cleaning staff were excellent. It would have been nice to know in advance that there was a large corporate event planned for the week. The closure of certain parts of the resort including restaurants and certain areas was a little annoying.
