Lovely hotel, rooms are clean and in good condition but are small. I’ve stayed here before and loved it. Breakfast is great and staff are always helpful. Very close to haram but there is quite a steep uphill back to the hotel which would be difficult for elderly. Park is available at a cost.

What can I say, 8 out of 10 for effort to keep customers happy, the girl at the reception (sorry can't remember her name but wore aviator style glasses) upgraded us to an interconnected rooms... Staff: are really helpful and friendly. Facilities: "Spa" what spa? Location: Checked all the maps and routes before booking and when I say it's in a bad location I mean in a bad location, I mean to get to the zam zam tower it takes about 20 mins and 10 mins to the mosque to pray.

Shaza Makkah hotel was perfect! It was very clean and very nice decor. The housekeeping staff were very helpful and very nice. Masud and Jiban were the 2 housekeeping staff that made our stay extra memorable. They were at our service whenever we needed them. The hotel also has a shuttle bus which takes you to the haram. Return journey was a little difficult but it was nice to have this amenity.

My stay at Shaza was very short religious trip. I have to say, the stay there was the most comfortable. There was an issue during check in and the staff was so accommodating and helpful. They gave me the most comfortable room there is. The hotel is clean, comfortable and has all the amenities. The prayer room has a sound connected from the masjid for prayers. The iftar buffet was varied and delicious. Will definitely stay again.

The room had a sewage smell in it. It was very annoying and after a day and a half we complained and they changed our room but that caused a lot of hassle. It was late at night had to wait a couple of hrs. Also had to move all our stuff so it was inconvenient. Atleast they changed it. Otherwise it was an awesome place . Breakfast was top of the line. Haram was 4 mins walking but to walk to the main entrance was 12 mins walk. They have a shuttle that takes you below the haram and you can walk up to the centre of masjid. It had a steep incline to get to the hotel, so I wouldn’t advise for families with old people or young children. But the then rate was 2/3rds of hotels in the clock tower. So it is something you will have weigh out. Higher price or more walking.

The hotel was lovely and very modern. I loved coming back from prayer to have the complimentary iced tea and dates. The breakfast was amazing, probably the best I've seen and would book with Shaza again just for this. There was a vast array of pastries, fresh fruit, yoghurt, jams etc as well as hot food. Umar (the chef) made delicious fresh eggs in any style you wanted, whilst there were also fresh waffles and pancakes. The best part is there would be a change so you wouldnt get bored. The negative is the cleaners would do the bare minimum i.e. make the bed, empty bins and replace few items in the coffee station so i had to tidy the room myself if I wanted it mess free. The location was great and very close to Masjid Al Harams new extension and would say it would take approx 6 mins to walk to the king Fahd gate. Only problem is the route back to the hotel is quite steep so elderly may struggle however there is a frequent shuttle bus. There is a kids area but it was quite poor. My 2 year old got bored very quickly as there wasnt much going on. I expected some organised activities or more toys but there were a few building blocks and aome colouring books which had been already used. Overall, we had a pleasant stay at Shaza and if we had the opportunity we would most likely book again. Thank you to the staff who were all very kind.

Beautiful hotel. Super inconvenient to get to surprisingly. Absolutely NO one in the Haram knows where the hotel is. whether they are a guard, soldier, taxi driver, pedestrian, beggar, no one knows the name Shaza. And then the shuttle bus service is super poor and the traffic areas it drops you off to is dangerous. Overall, IF you can get to the hotel, you’ll have a tremendous stay. If not, good luck finding the hotel 😭😔

- Poor management, we delayed our Umrah by 5 hours because we were told the kids club will open at 3pm (3-9pm) but no one was there at 3:15pm, upon checking, the management was making an excuse, it's first day of Ramadan. They didn't know the contact number of the kids club staff, when I showed them their mobile phone number, they asked us to wait in the lobby and disappeared. Ultimately, we had to take our 3 kids for Umrah with us in the hot and busy conditions. - Jowel (Janitor) was the doing the good job but he was clueless when I asked why the shower area turn into a puddle whilst and after the shower is taken? He was carrying a squeegee to just clear the standing water. Water had damaged the woodwork some areas around the toilet which requires hole filling and remediation work done. - Buffet breakfast was excellent, staff was nice, thanks for the incharge who let us take some fruits and cakes for our kids who were sleeping during the suhoor (1-4am). - The guy in arab attire who was serving welcome drinks was great, my kids got excited when they saw him on Shaza's Insta page - Check-in was smooth, hotel condition was good and clean, well maintained except room toilets, lifts were instantly available - Good 10 minutes downhill walk, not good when you return with a wheelchair or pushchair. - Bus took 25 minutes, from Hotel it took us to Al Rasaifah for a utrun then went past the haram to the Aziziya area and took another uturn then dropped at the bus stop near the haram

A good place to stay near the holy mosque, but honestly I expected it to be cleaner and modernized with the cost of renting. On the service it’s clean but not that clean! Bathroom needs to be cleaned deeply groves and walls are not properly cleaned and needs some renovations. Beds and room facilities are good. In room dining is actually good portion and quality of food but it’s a bit expensive. Breakfast buffet is nice

I loved the customer service and the free breakfast. Room smelled really bad, bidet was rotting with mold.

Das Hotel ist sehr schön eingerichtet und sauber. Das Personal hilfsbereit und höflich. Das Frühstück hat große Auswahl, frisch zubereitet und sehr schmackhaft. Besonders hat uns gefallen, dass nachmittags am Eingang leckerer kalter Hibiskus Tee mit Datteln serviert wurde. Das Check In war bei uns gegen 22 Uhr ohne Probleme. In Shaza Hotel kommen wir gerne wieder.

We had a wonderful experience staying at Shaza Makka hotel. The staff were super helpful, friendly and always eager to help. The place is very clean and the room is very well designed. The hotel is very close to Haram and it takes about 7-10 minutes walk.

Even thought the room was a bit small, it had everytging we needed and everything was clean and high quality...excellent value for the money.

Well worth the money! I was not expecting the rooms to be so spacious. Mu suite had a bedroom, living room and spacious bathroom.

Our stay at Shaza Makkah was amazing. The hotel is stunning and luxurious. The room was spacious and luxurious as well. The staff is so kind, attentive and friendly. I want to give a specific thanks to Abed at breakfast for his kind service. The location is very close to the haram and only a 5 min walking. There is a shuttle bus as well for those who don’t want to walk. The hotel is on a slight hill which overall isn’t bad but just be mindeful of it

Smaller rooms. Great buffet breakfast with wide options, great location to the Kaabah and you can even see the clock tower from main entrance. Wifi is very poor and doesn’t even allow photos and videos to be sent. If wifi was fixed I would stay again longer.

The hotel looks exceptional, however quality of furniture was appalling. Very cheap and flimsy. Every electrical outlet in our room was broken. We were checked in 2 hours late. You can tell the hotel was very cheaply put together, even the shower decided to give up half way through. I did not expect this from such a highly rated hotel with many stars. The only good thing about it was the complimentary breakfast.

The Internet, very weak please fix it.

Only trouble was with AC. It wasn’t adjustable. Room was freezing. I could only turn it off or keep it at very cold setting. Staff was nice. Breakfast buffet was the best I have ever seen. Hotel location is close to the entrance of haram. It’s setting on top of a hill, so there’s a good walk up hill.

Over all it was good, but the fridge in our room was not working and there was no microwave in the room, we were at room 2310. The room service guy was so nice and professional his name was Jowel. I’d love to thank him a lot and appreciate his hard work. I’d definitely recommend this hotel to everyone. Very peaceful environment and clean rooms.

the road to the hotel is little bit difficult the room was nos isolated from outside noise and other room sound> the laundary service is too poor and made mistakes for washing clothes the laggage person did not come quickly >

Room cleaning staff was very helpful. Room size was very small, overly priced, could hardly put two suitcases. Refrigerator had no cooling our medicine got bad. Guest service staff was uncooperative so was the staff of restaurant, we even checked out a day earlier even though it was paid.

Stay away from this hotel and don’t ruin your vacation. Rude and disrespectful staff.

Very supportive team. Managed to find a solution as the booking didn’t arrive to them till next day. They also gave me an upgrade. All team was helpful, special thanks to Ali in the reception 🙏

Tikal Jabal is a beautiful hotel with excellent rooms, service and breakfast. The staff was exceptionally helpful. Nasir Ali, Hossain, Jiban and kawsar helped us a lot during our stay. Will surely only stay here for our next visit.

We stayed at Al-Shaza for 4 nights. We had some issues with the rooms not being ready and a junior member of staff was not very helpful & Rima stepped in & she resolved the issues. We even managed to get 2 connecting rooms to pleasure. The hotel is walking distance to Haram & although there is construction around with the Haram extension it did not cause any inconvenience. Sahadt also was very helpful from a room service perspective. Breakfast has plenty of choices and is highly recommended. Overall, a very nice hotel & not too crowded like some of the other hotels.

Despite the polite and welcoming reception staff, my experience at this hotel was far from satisfactory. The room service was completely unhelpful. When I tried to order food from outside, I was met with a dry, dismissive tone and was flat-out told they would not bring it up to my room. Additionally, the location is much farther from Al Haram than advertised. You’re forced to rely on the hotel shuttle, which is highly inconvenient. Overall, the stay was not worth the hassle. I do not recommend this hotel and I will definitely not be returning.

There are ongoing construction work around the hotel, so road gets closed and you can't get to/from the hotel by taxi. You have to be dropped fown the road and climb the small hill with your suitcases to reach the hotel, or vice versa when leaving. I would have expect the hotel to inform the customer that road get close around certain hours, that is the minimum that should be done. The hotel is 15min from the Haram entrance, specifically when you have to zigzag around the designated blocked spaces. The food was very limited in term of options. I chose the hotel for the room type, but was very disappointed by the service, the lack of communication on car drop off/pick up inconvenience and the food. I will only book this if I do not have a better choice going forward.

Hotel service and unlimited breakfast was a great experience. From the Hotel to Haram, can be quite a walk due to construction of the extension of the mosque. Few ramps/hills you have to go up and down from in order to get to the Haram. Other than that great experience all around.

The location shown on the map was totally different. Look clise to Haram on map but don't fool a huge bridge and roads need to cross to reach in a hotel. Very inconvenience compared to the price you pay. The shower room has no door when I complain they did nothing. For a soap or shampoo you needs to call several times to get it. Thank you

Superb Breakfast

we had a perfect stay - highly recommend and will be telling friends and family to stay here. Breakfast was excellent and varied with plenty of vegetarian options.

Breakfast was very nice as was the cafe(shalimar). The staff are wonderful and help especially the restaurant supervisor Adeel. He makes a good Karak tea. The hotel has alot of potential and is very elegant.
