What guests think

At Amara Bangkok Hotel, travellers consistently praise the central Silom location and the rooftop infinity pool with city views, while noting recurring drawbacks like a small, crowded pool deck, a basic gym, and occasional signs of wear.

Rooms are generally comfortable with good views, but some feel dated or small, and a few guests reported air-conditioning quirks, noise from the gym, or limited in-room work space. Breakfast is widely praised for variety and quality, though on-site drinks and rooftop bar items can be expensive. Cleanliness is usually strong, yet there are isolated lapses, and service—often kind and attentive—occasionally falters with slow responses or mix-ups. Overall, expect a convenient city stay with attractive amenities and a few manageable drawbacks.

Great hotel overall. We last stayed here when they first opened almost a decade ago. It has maintained the same high standards and overall quality. The only thing that has room for improvement is the gym facilities which are too basic for a hotel this size and quality. Other than that all was great, like last time

We had an OK stay at Amara Bangkok. We got our room 1.5 hours AFTER check-in time. So bad. As compensation, we received three drink tickets for non-alcoholic drinks... Time is money. And we would have rather had our room on time instead of sitting in the lobby and waiting. Overall somewhat tired hotel, especially in the pool area. There were also few sunbeds.

My overall experience was great - staff was kind and helpful when you initially arrive for check in from opening the door for you, to even offering to carry your luggage from your taxi/form of transportation onto the trolley; as well as offering to bring it upstairs for you. The amenities from the gym were satisfactory and infinity pool was beautiful! The only thing I’d like to point out was that the headboard on one side of the bed was dirty.

I don't think I will ever stay in a different hotel in Bangkok.

The hotel was fine, but I was travelling for business and did not find it to be a business hotel. The work space/desk in the room was quite small, and the majority of the other guests did not appear to be business travellers. The area around the hotel is not a business area. The workshop I was participating in took place at the hotel, and conference room venue was adequate. Again, the hotel was fine, I just had very different expectations which affected my experience.

Mind the step in the bathroom .. i don't understand why they didn't remove this one, small step .. that can makes you fall easily especially at night and it is,in most rooms i guess as we had 2 rooms similar.

The hotel location was fab, hotel staff were amazing apart from the roof top staff, I found bit rude and slow. If u order from roof top you will need to pay service charge. Also Apple Pay goes not work, I hope they get it fitted for next year. The pool area is small only 5/6 deck chairs for 200 clients. The lifts are slow! The best time that the room I was given in 24th floor as access to club member lounge where Memebership gets access from 5-9 free food and drink. The breakfast was ok but very off putting for veggie person, not a lot of choices.
