What guests think

Baan Chart sits just off Khao San Road in a central, lively area, praised for easy access to sights, river transport, food and nightlife, though several guests caution that street noise can be disruptive, especially late at night.

Rooms are often comfortable and stylish but frequently described as dark or windowless, and some feel small or lacking seating. Cleanliness earns consistent praise, though water pressure or temperature in showers draws recurring complaints. Staff are widely noted as friendly and helpful, and guests also mention a small rooftop pool and an on-site restaurant with a breakfast some enjoyed. Expect a practical base with simple comforts rather than guaranteed quiet or light-filled, spacious rooms.

Nice hotel just around the corner from two lively streets in Bangkok. We stayed in the family room next to the pool (5th floor), where the kids had an amazing time. Comfortable beds, air conditioning, clean rooms, and a tasty breakfast served in the hotel’s restaurant downstairs. At night, you can hear the buzz of the surrounding streets, but it’s easy to sleep through. A great choice for families who want to stay in the heart of Bangkok but still enjoy a refreshing swim in the pool at the end of the afternoon.

Baan Chart used to be a really nice hotel, but is not in its finest any more. Could hardly get any water out of the shower, the sound in the room is horrible. Very difficult to sleep because all the noice. Asked several times to get someone to spray for moskitos in my room but not one time did they do it. The prices at the restaurants are skyhigh- I don't understand why? This is not a luxury hotel.

The hotel’s staff is very professional and friendly! As soon as we check in they gave us tea and a towel to cool ourselves! They helped us book our tours and recommended the best temples to visit and to either use tuk tuk, taxi or Grab (Asia Uber). The place is near clubs, lots of restaurants and shopping. The place was very clean and the room was very comfortable! Overall we are really satisfied with this hotel.

Great location for access to the river (and the river taxis). Also really good to be just off the Khao San Rd even if, like me, you’ll not be raving till 6am. Coming back in at night through the madness was fun to see. However you are far enough away it doesn’t affect sleep. Also, turn right for wonderful morning food stalls and clothes etc. The hotel staff were incredibly kind and accommodating. The room is beautiful, but dark. Don’t expect much in the way of windows. The bed was big. The shower temp was a bit hit and miss, but in this heat, who cares! For the price & location-exceptional.

My stay here was reasonably good. Note this area is party town, lots of noise. Staff is very attentive and positive. I had to change rooms as I found my first room too dark, cave like without much natural light. Rooms are nicely decorated. They do lack a table/chair to do any work or just sit. They were kind and provided this to me on request. The doors to each room are like old wood storm doors, very thin and allow all the noise from the facing street and bars into your space. I had to jam in my ear plugs in deep to get any sleep. Lastly, I didn't like the required 2000 baht cash deposit. It drained the small funds I had left.

I’ve stayed here twice because I love the style, convenient location, and friendly staff. It’s also one of the pickup points for trips to Koh Chang, which is a great plus. The only downside is that the room doesn’t have a window, so you have to keep the lights on during the day.

The staff were amazing, nothing was too much trouble. Right in the centre of everything. We had a very nice decorated room and had everything we needed, very clear and comfortable. The room was a little small with not much space if you have a lot of luggage. It’s a little bit noisy but that’s what we would expect for being here. We really enjoyed our stay and I am sure you will too.

Small hotel around the corner from Khosan road. Staff were friendly and there was a nice bar area and seating out front with live performances some evenings. Rooms are very dark, you would need the light on all day in the room which can be slightly depressing. Bathrooms small but functional. It was surprisingly quiet given how close it was to everything.

I've been travelling a lot and would like to emphasise that this is a simple but very fine hotel! Go for it if you are looking for a good standard without the need for total luxury. The rooms are average but clean, comfortable and cosy. The staff has love for details, is very friendly and helpful - even during chaotic Songkran(!). Special thanks go out to Liu! Would stay here again anytime! Hope to be back soon
