The pool was closed, Which is a huge inconvenience when you're with kids and a reason why you picked the hotel. valet parked our car with In and out privileges supposedly, Tried to go out to pick up dinner and was told that the night valet guy “decided not to show up for Work” so they didn't have anyone to go get our car. So my husband had to try to find our car in a parking ramp with 1000 other cars. Ultimately, We checked out a day early and went down to the other Hilton..

Very well suited to our needs. Convenient to Mayo clinic, dining. Very helpful, friendly staff. Shuttle offered to St. Mary campus. And the pool and hot tub were great for me to relax in. Hot tub just the right temperature. Rooms well designed.

This was our 4th or 5th time staying at this hotel and since our last stay, they have updated the lobby. They removed the hotel bar and replaced it with a rolling bar cart that is open 5-9 and no bar stools. Just not as nice as it used to be in that regard. However, the staff is always nice and pleasant, easy to work with and the rooms are always great. For the one night we were there, a perfectly acceptable experience.

Property has construction underway in the lobby, but our fourth floor room was clean, in excellent condition, and quiet. Staff members were extremely helpful and there is a courtesy car back and forth to Mayo locations if needed. The only onsite parking is valet, but the third street ramp public covered parking is only a block away(shorter than a standard block distance). It was convenient, even though off site. Both the hotel and the public parking garage connect to the downtown skywalk. There is not an off street entry in front of the hotel, street parking only, so plan people and luggage unloading accordingly. Since our use of the lobby was minimal, construction was not an issue for us and it appears it will be quite nice when complete. And kudos to the staff. Every one we came in contact with was helpful and courteous. We would stay again.

I have stayed here many times. However, this stay was not good. There were huge, ugly stains on the carpet in my room. The bedside table was in bad shape. And when I checked out, the desk clerk was very rude. Not up to par, for sure.

I've stayed here several times over the years, and this hotel has seen better days. The staff downstairs (front desk and dining area) were good, but the housekeeping staff upstairs wasn't on-the-ball. My room was cleaned, including the bed being made, literally once during a weeklong stay. Twice, I communicated my needs to the upstairs staff, and they didn't seem to get what I was asking for. Once I went downstairs to ask the desk staff to convey to the housekeeping folks that I wanted my room cleaned, etc. Housekeeping then emptied the wastebaskets (once in the week), then tossed some towels onto the bathroom counter and left. No made bed. No cleaned bathroom. No replenished coffee service in the room (I once went and asked housekeeping for non-decaf coffee), etc. It was pathetic. Oh, and regarding the towels, they are OLD and feel like drying yourself with cardboard. Seriously, the place needs an overhaul. One bright spot was the morning cook who made an excellent omelette ... but paying for breakfast and the $20 daily valet fee added up to an additional $40-50 per day including tips. People who come to Mayo for excellent medical care deserve to have high-quality, reasonably inexpensive hotel options. This hotel used to meet that description, but it doesn't any more.

All of the staff we interacted with were courteous, competent, genuinely friendly and helpful. The facility was spotless. Since it is connected to the Skyway there is easy indoor access to the Subway and Mayo medical facilities as well as a variety of great places to eat, coffee shops and retail establishments.

The person checking me in was crabby and didn't give me any information upon checking in, like is there breakfast, when, how much does it cost, is there a pool, etc. She didn't smile or feel friendly. It was uncomfortable. Maybe they were having a bad day. The maid came to my room at 10:30 to ask when I was leaving. That made me feel rushed! This is a old hotel that needs updating and a deep clean.

I didnt like that you have no control over the ac/heater. I had 2 rooms. 1 was quite cold and the other was too hot. Staff was overall great. Check in was easy. Paid beforehand but got charged $1 for each room at check in whem the staff member said no charge. I left it alone but why. Hated you had to pay for breakfadt. Should be a little cheaper or at least have the cold breakfast be free. Rooms qere clean. Cheap toilet paper but at least there was some. Check out was easy.

This hotel is connected to Mayo Clinic via skyway and subway. The accessible rooms are nice and large enough to easily maneuver a wheelchair. We come back here for every clinic visit. The staff has always been very attentive and friendly.

The hotel was clean. Worst night sleep ok NO sleep. Mattress was like laying on a rock, pillows were thin and useless. Street noise sounded like I was in the middle of the Indy 500. The walls were paper thin and you can hear every toilet flushing. No on-site parking. The parking is down the street. The on-site parking is about 20 spots some reserved. Not convenient nor comfortable for the price. A hotel has one goal to give you a good nights sleep in a room with comfort. There was absolutely no comfort.

My only negatives were the outside noise from loud cars or fire engines this however is no fault of the hotel. My other negative is that you have to pay for parking 2 blocks away. Lastly both beds were very hard and uncomfortable and could use some updating Otherwise my room itself was clean and updated,the front staff were kind and friendly and the hotel was located close to shops and restaurants.

The experience was fine overall. However, I opted to valet our car, which was flat fee of $21/day. The average parking around the area I was told is $13/day. I wanted the convenience as we were only there for 3 nights and had several activities to go to. All but the very first night and next morning I was simply handed my own keys back and told to grab it from the back lot. This was irritating as I paid for a service, not just a parking spot.upon check out (we left very early) I checked out, told the front desk my car was in the valet lot and then walked out the front for someone to bring our car. We stood outside for 10 mins waiting. The doors were locked to get back in, im sure for nighttime security, so I called the desk again to remind the man I had checked out with that I was still waiting for my car. He told me just to get it from the valet lot out back. I had to further explain that was impossible because THEY had my keys.

Excellent location, nise staff, close to many restauraunts. Connected to skywalk to get anywhere, including everything at the MAYO clinic, mall, restauraunts, art and civic center, library.Had everything we needed. Pool and hottub were wonderful. Breakfast and parking not including so take that into account when calculating cost, but overall everything worked out perfectly for us.

Not very well appointed. Small sink with no area to put toiletry bag. Queen size top sheet on a king size bed. Sofa and chair so hard, not comfortable at all. On a busy street with racing and revving cars and motorcycles, even at 2 AM. Towels are soft and thick and staff was very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was expensive but tasty and hot.

I was a patient with appt at neurology at Mayo. Thanks for being so caring, helpful, and directing me to my appts via shuttle or skyway. We enjoyed the facility and buffet breakfast. Housekeeping kept us with snacks and beautiful, clean room daily.

Our room was right next to an exit to the skywalk area. Very noisy. Their guest service site needs to be updated. It showed you could order room service from two restaurants and actually one of the restaurants is permanently closed. The Expedia site shows free breakfast which isn’t true. Again guest service site needs alot of updating.
