It was hot most of the time even after setting it at 72 degrees on "auto." This was when the outdoor temperatures were in the mid-80's.

Breakfast choices are very limited. If the waffle machine is your thing, you will like it. It was fine, probably about what you’d expect for the cheaper price range. Friendly front desk staff. No bed bugs found, but mattresses were quite stained. They definitely need better mattress covers to be able to better wash. Also, the 2 drinks we bought from the vending machine were flat and expired for $3 each. No help offered by hotel.

Had visits at the Mayo, a nice place to rest for the night. The property is aging, staff was friendly, safe area with a lot of retail/eateries nearby. 5 min drive to Mayo, near the mall and downtown. Has a shuttle I did not use, breakfast was available, room was worn, bed was softer than I prefer, heat/fan worked, shower pressure wasn't great, linens were clean, however, exactly what I was expecting given the price. Nice value for the cost, I would stay here again.

The room had a bad smell and black mold in the bathroom. There were cigarette burns in the comforters and it seems as though nothing has been updated in these rooms since the 70s. The beds and bedding were very stiff. We got food from the vending machine that expired in April. Other than that, the staff was very friendly.

Stapled to the key card holder, there is a tiny piece of paper that mentions that you need to verbally request to have your room cleaned daily, otherwise it won’t be cleaned. Except, when we requested it be cleaned 2 days in a row, it never got cleaned. When we went to the front desk both times, we were told “oh they must’ve forgotten, they’re gone for the day so nothing we can do.” Also, the window was broke. And had mold growing on it and the chair was literally falling apart. So gross.

Negatives: Mold in the shower and on the ceiling. Toilet paper shoved in the eyehole of the door which makes it unsafe if someone were to be on the other side, you can’t see who it is. Plastic bag wrapped around the smoke/carbon monoxide detector (not sure if someone did that to smoke in there without setting it off or if that is something the staff did for a reason). Trash and dirty linens in the hallway. Thin spring mattress. Positives: cheap(ish), breakfast, working AC and couldn’t hear anyone around us.

The hotel was clean but very outdated. The staff were all very kind and polite. Breakfast was good. The fan in our bathroom was very, very, very loud. People in the room above our room were very loud. They walked very loud, they were dropping things, it sounded like there were many people in the room because the loud walking and talking never stopped, until late into the night and then it started again at 5am. It stopped about 5:40am when they left the room. We should’ve asked for a second floor room.

There was zero water pressure. A trickle of a shower was putting it nicely. The springs or what ever is in their mattress sounded like an oil can being squeezed every time you changed positions. The bed was not comfortable.

The staff was absolutely great. Very friendly. Housekeeping staff was very friendly and helpful. The lady who cleaned the breakfast area was a sweetheart. Overall stay was very satisfying. Breakfast was great everyday. Would gladly stay again. Thank you for a great experience.

The staff were very unfriendly and unhelpful when it came to asking about the area. We had purchased food to warm up in the microwave in the room and discovered it wasn't working our first night. I informed the front desk and they said they would make certain it got replaced the following morning. It never got replaced and we were there for 3 nights. When we had to check out 1 day early we were told that they couldn't do that nor could they provide a receipt. They said that function was grayed out and it would take a manager to do anything. They said I would have to contact where we made the reservation and they would have to request the refund and the change in the checkout.

I was in town for medical appointments and my last one went longer than expected so I extended my check out time and paid the fee, however, staff was already at my door 3 minutes prior demanding I rush. The front desk worker sat and watched me pack telling me it was now check out time, only slowing the process having to keep responding to her and feel uncomfortable and frustrated to be treated like this.

We were super impressed with the accomodations. Staff was very professional and pleasant. The room was clean and comfortable. We stayed 5 nights at a very reasonable rate during my sister's surgery at Mayo. Convenient location close to shopping and restaurants and just a 10 minute drive to the clinic/hospital. We would definitely stay again.

First I want to thank hotel.com for easy online to make my arrangements. And the hotel stay was great, the staff was very friendly and courteous and quiet. The location was convenient to mayo clinic. A really good price I thought. Workers were friendly. Pretty clean. A great big spider web was in the corner of the window when i pulled curtains back, but I just knocked it down. ( They should check those occasionally) One of my washcloths looked like a cleaning rag with holes in it. I would stay again.

It was an inexpensive place to sleep pretty comfortably. Breakfast was typical: waffles, cereal, yogurt, fruit, etc. It's an older property, but looks like they are updating a few things at a time, and it's clean. Would stay here again if needed.
