This property did not measure up to the many other La Quintas we have stayed in. The ice machines were broken, the guest laundry services were out of order and the breakfast was terrible everyday of an 8 day stay (we had to extend our stay for medical reasons0. Biscuits were overcooked. Limited options.

the place was good but hot tub was out of order and laundry machines didn"t work. the room directly across from us were parting all night pounding on doors and making a rucess we were staying there while in town for mayo hospital appointments and had to be up every morning at 5:15 am so the noise wasn't no fun.

The front desk worker seemed like I was bothering him when I checked in. There were only 3 towels in our 4 person room. There were zero towel in the pool area. The breakfast was poor. And the hot tub was down. Not a great place to stay.

The staff were very pleasant, helpful, and accommodating. A few complaints we had were the fact that almost everything in the hotel seemed to be "out of order." The workout facilities had many out of order machines, the pool areas jacuzzi was out of order, and all but the ice machine on the 4th floor was out of order. The room was fine; there were some stains on the carpet and the bottom of the bathtub seemed hollow, also the toilet was almost kid sized. All in all it was okay.

There were bloodstains on one of the pillows, brown stains caked into the carpet, visible mold in the bathroom, the tub looked disgusting, there was brown stuff all over the soap dish in the bathroom, and the AC didn’t work well. I also had to wait quite a while for someone to appear so I could check in. Although when he did show up he was very kind. I ended up booking a different hotel rather than staying another night - they did refund me for my unused night and the staff didn’t seem surprised I wanted to check out early.

The room had fresh blood on the carpet which I stepped in. There was fresh blood on all of the towels, toilet paper and walls. We switched rooms and there was blood on all of the towels and toilet paper again. On top of the blood there was hair in the beds, an iPad under the bed among trash. I would like a refund as our health was put in danger. It was very late when we arrived and had no choice but to stay after driving a moving truck 11 hours.

I found a couple cockroaches in my room, I was able to kill one. Common areas not cleaned, lobby bathroom toilet not flushing and looked like someone dumped food in the sink or threw up. Homeless people around. Husband di research an this chain apparently rents a number of rooms to the State to be used for the homeless so basically it doubles as a homeless shelter.

The first room we were given had Cheetos in the drawer, a cup on the floor, stains on the sheets, a booger on the mattress, and the curtains and bed smocks were visibly water damaged. It also had a slight smell. We were transfered from the second floor to the fourth floor and the room was much better. No noticable issues. Raj was very pleasant, friendly, and attentive.

The hotel location was perfect for us. Not in town but lose enough to drive to the far end of town in 20 minutes. Since it was south of the town it was quiet for sleeping. We didn't hear any noise from the hall or the rooms around us. There are dining options close (walking distance) or if we drove within 5-10 minutes away. Also if someone wants to see a movie there is an IMAX theater walking distance from hotel. We had a great stay for the night.

Arrived at almost midnight and the clerk was slow and had me do the check in again despite completing the online version hours prior. Clerk asked if we wanted the two rooms on first or second floor and decided to place our party on separate floors without asking if it’s okay. When I asked for it to be fixed clerk said it couldn’t be fixed and “it was fine because there were nearby stairs”. First floor room had trash under bed and in room, old harsh shower head, bathroom faucet wasn’t secured to countertop and was entirely moveable. The door had a crack in it and the lock was loose. Both rooms had curtains that didn’t fully close and were water stained. Windows had mold and condensation. Second floor room couldn’t get regulated on temperature, the bed skirt was stained and had holes. Bathroom tub creaked and we wondered if it would fall through floor. The room and linens smelled like smoke to the point I felt the need to re-shower before leaving so I didnt drive home in the smell. We came to the hotel based on prior recent reviews and were very disappointed.

We always book this hotel when we visit Rochester, but this time was very disappointing. When we arrived, there was just a sign at the front desk saying so-and-so was away and would be back any minute. We waited around for ~15-20 minutes until someone finally came and helped us check in. The room did not look like it was cleaned well. The microwave had a strange residue on it, like something had splashed all over and not got cleaned up. The sheets and blankets were stained- something we didn’t notice the initial night, only to find out BOTH beds had stains. We were left with no towels at the pool area, although an employee came into the pool area several times, he never brought us towels. We didn’t want to drip back the hotel room, so we decided to sit in the chairs for a while, which most were falling apart and weren’t suitable to sit on at all. We also noticed an employee standing right outside the main doors, smoking cigarettes right next to the sign stating it was MN law not to smoke in that area. Overall, fairly disappointed as this was our go-to hotel when we visit Rochester and now I think we’ll be looking at other options next time.

Never have I ever stayed in a hotel with so many issues. First, my family and I were given the wrong room. We were placed in a one-bed room when we specifically booked two queen beds. We were moved to a new room, but the thermostat did not work. We ended up with a third room in one night! No apologies from the front desk associate, except for a “My bad” response. Really?! How unprofessional!!! Aside from moving from room to room, we were awoken by dogs barking in the middle of the night! Walls are thin so you can hear lots of noises and chattering coming from the hallways. The next day while we were in our room, another family tried to enter our room! They were given the same room key access as ours!!!! Frustrated, I called the front desk to let them know about the situation and the response I received was, “My bad,” once again! I was very unhappy and requested to speak to management. Of course, no manager was on duty, but I did receive a contact number to reach out to. I left a message about my terrible experiences. Now waiting to see if I get a response that does not include, “My bad!”

I had to wait to check in because no one was behind the counter. After 10 minutes and calling twice, Raj finally appeared. The light over the mirror didn't work, and the toilet didn't flush properly or fill the tank with water. I put out the DND sign, and they came in regardless, and moved my stuff to clean. Lastly, I asked for a receipt when I turned my keys in, and the gentleman said I couldn't get one because it was booked through expedia. He refused to give me one. That is unacceptable and the staff has a problem with incompetency.

The room was clean. The shower did have some spots that needed to be cleaned better and tile work was attempted to be fixed, but not done the best. Breakfast was so-so. They served biscuits and gravy and it didn't seem fresh. There was a small container of what seemed to be left over of the gravy. No fruit options.

Great breakfast 😋 This hotel is GREAT. Everything is nice and wheelchair friendly. I especially love the warm pool and hot tub. Half the price of hotels in the same area, yet twice as nice. Stay here often. Hair dryers, ironing boards, coffee pot, fridge, microwave...all in your room. If you forget a toiletry item, they supply it free.

Near new hotel on south end of Rochester. Room was clean and in good condition. I was able to plug in my Tesla for a full charge overnight, reasonably close to entrance. A few minor complaints. My Keoreg in room coffee maker didn't have any coffee pods with it. TV stalled I unplugged and plugged back in it restarted fine. Breakfast had waffles, scrambled eggs, sausage, cereal toast, coffee and juice and not much else. It was okay I expected better.

Have stayed at La Quinta in Rochester, MN several times over the years. Two requirements it meets for us, free breakfast and pet friendly. Sometimes we have to bring our dog as friends can't always keep her. The breakfast is fairly good there compared to some other Motels. The price is reasonable. Last stay there were about six small things that I found disagreeable. It was clear that good help is hard to find. The ice makers were not working. The one behind the front desk worked but it seemed no one was there about half the time. The pool was cold and the hot tub was about the temp the pool should have been. There were a few other small things that don't make or break our stay. I wonder if the La Quinta inspector didn't come by because things were much better this time. I am willing to book there again after this last experience. We're not that picky that every chicken squat thing has to be right. Maily, we need a decent mattress and a shower. However, if amenities are promised they should be in order. Having said all this, I am willing to stay there again.
