Nice hotel . Very well located, just a few steps from Sampeng market and Chinese food market . Our room was nice and big with a wonderful view over the river . Short walk from MRT and easy to find by taxi . Very small bathroom but otherwise OK . WiFi kind of slow , but OK too . Several restaurants to try , specially the revolting restaurant on 25th floor . Did not see much of reseption , but very attentive Concierge at all times Will definitely book a room again

Stayed in the hotel from 17 to 19 July. Location of hotel was a short walk to, albeit not in the heart of, Yaowarat. Was given Room 2203. The exhaust fan in the room was quite disturbing even when the air-con unit was switch off. Gym was poorly maintained and not available 24 hours. The pool was not impressively at all. Service staff were professional especially front counter staff Miss Sudarat.

Disapointed in the pool, it is tucked away in a corner, and needs a lot of work to bring it up to standard. And no lounges to lay on in the area, and to had to access it by getting the lift to 22nd floor then climbing a flight of stairs to get to 23rd floor where the pool is! also the lighting in the room and bathroom were very dull, good breakfast, friendly staff, pianist in the dining area (Tim) in the afternoons was. very good. And in the evenings they had Karaoke it was fun.

I enjoyed my stay so much that when I lost my passport, I went back. Im afraid I would not rate the pool for swimming. It is very small, more like a jacuzzi without the warmth and bubbles. If you want to swim don't come here, try the Mandarin

Grand China was a really good value for our stay. Staff do a great job and this is a fun neighborhood within Bangkok with great & inexpensive food options - including vegan. The lobby floor has many shops and a couple eating options – often with music that may include karaoke. The seventh floor has a decent workout space with mats, free-weights, and machines. The building definitely has a lot of quirks – like a pool you have to go through a maze to reach & is more like a soaking tub than something to swim in. Mattresses are clean, but not the highest quality. The building has been retrofit with a bunch of different uses likely not intended by its designers. Being in the middle of Chinatown and 10 minute walk to the MRT and river ferry options, this is a great place to explore Bangkok from. We may stay there again in the future.

The bed was exceptionally comfortable, but upon entering the room, I noticed that some of the roof tiles were out of place and had to be adjusted. However, I was disappointed to find that the rooms were not as clean as depicted, with noticeable dirty fingerprints on the walls. Additionally, the shower had drainage issues after every use. Like etter vi fikk tildelt rommet, oppdaget vi en kakerlakk. Neste dag kom det ingen rengjører. Klagde i resepsjonen, som beklaget seg, fikk deretter en suite i bytte. Hotellet bar preg av å være gammelt, og fikk et generelt dårlig inntrykk av renholdet. Servicen var forsåvidt bra, og frokosten var helt grei for et opphold på bare et par dager. Hotellet er svært sentralt i forhold til butikker, restauranter etc.

Room was always clean. Staff was very nice. Although breakfast buffet always had the same food everyday and got a little boring to eat the same thing everyday although some things having everyday was good like the fruits, toast, omelette but not much breakfast items to choose from.

The bathroom is very tired with moldy grout and sealant, and peeling paint. House keeping kept forgetting to provide either toilet paper, tissue, towels or free water almost daily. Only a travel size hairdryer was provided which wasn't powerful. The beds are quite hard and very wobbly. The hotel doesn't appear to be at four star standards.

Very decent Hotel. The best is the Gen Z bar, good food, Drinks and view. The Deluxe rooms on high floor 22th have nice view. Only thing the elevator is really noisy. The only bad thing is that you can‘t really use the air conditioning at night because it is to strong and blows at the bed directly. It is a bit sad they moved breakfast to ground floor, that‘s an downgrade. But all in all decent hotel with good Location.

A bit worn out, and with staff panicking about how to use the veranda. We rented a room advertised with river view, and found they had planted a hedge on the veranda p preventing the view for a normal height person.

Stayed on junior suite street view rm 1504.Room was big 45sq/m.location good.lighting very poor.room very dark.Airon not good couldn’t cool the room size.room warm in the afternoon.Shower knob came off on my 4th night.shower drainage choke.had to overturn the cover so draining water could flow.told front desk to get all these problem resolved.

We were exhausted when we arrived. They were sticky about their 2 pm check in. We went to the pool and more rules and stiff staff to enforce them. Not a friendly hotel. But Chinatown is right down the street. It is the first hotel we stayed in during our 2 week trip in Thailand, and it's not representative of the friendliness of the rest of our trip. In case like this, I usually wonder about the hotel owners/administrators who set the rules and tones, not the staff.

The stay was great, the accommodations are well above average and the people, .i.e. the staff are exceptional. I enjoyed high floor rooms with River views and view of the city. I did the breakfast buffet and I highly recommend it. Very affordable and extensive. I recommend this hotel to anyone traveling to Bangkok.

I found the staff assisting you to get a taxi or tuk tuk very helpful...the room was clean and adequate. What i did find unusual was the level of distrust of patrons by the staff in the lobby. I don't think I have ever had a staff member go and inspect the room for damage while we were standing there waiting for our deposit...I found it quite insulting...nothing wrong was found and our deposit was returned but again I found the whole thing insulting. Maybe find a better way to do this...

The Grand China Hotel located in the heart of Chinatown, it's a 5-minute walk to Ratchawong Pier on the Chao Praya River, from where you can take inexpensive tourist boats to many attractions. The view over Chinatown and the river is amazing. We will definitely come back.

Great hotel. In a great location to Chinatown. Can get the Elephant Bus for a tour of the city from the Lobby Entrance. Definitely recommend this hotel to anyone wanting to visit Chinatown and sample the great array of food.

Zu Fuß in 5min erreichbar von der U-Bahn Station Wat Mangkorn. China Town mit Food-market beginnt gleich daneben. Zum Königspalast 30min zu Fuß oder mit der blauen U-Bahn. Frühstücksbuffet ok, nur 1 Dame kann Englisch, eher kein „kontinentales“ Frühstück, kaum Käse. Suppe und/oder 2 Eier kann man sich nach Wunsch frisch zubereiten lassen. Jede Person bekommt 2 Gutscheine für Welcome-drinks. Die Bars in den oberen Stockwerken sind nett, im 25. Stock ist ein Drehrestaurant. Ein kleines Pool gibt es auch.

Very good hotel to go around Chinatown. Hotel inside is a bit dated but clean inside. Lovely and very helpful staff. The improvements need to go to the breakfast side. Close to street foods vendors. Very little choice with same options everyday. Still highly recommended when visiting Bangkok.

Clean, comfortable room. Very attentive staff. GenZ sky bar is beautiful with live music Friday & Sat nites. Easy walking distance to main Chinatown streets and metro. Several restaurants in building. Breakfast buffet has Chinese and Western options with eggs cooked to order
