Furama Silom Hotel

We had a family room, which was quite big and it came with a balcony, which opened and we didn't see any cockroches. But the room wasn't very clean and bathroom was a bit outdated. The pool was very nice and great view.

Facilities need to maintain

Great location. Cool rooftop pool. Staff works hard. Breakfast buffet is OK, executive lounge only has 2 hour happy hour.

I stay here whenever I'm in Bangkok (usually 3 or 4 times a year) and its always excellent. Good rooms, good food, walking distance to all my favourite bars and restaurants, pool and bar on the roof... Whats not to like?

Whilst it was close to the park, it wasn’t a particularly nice hotel. The rooms were massive but very dark and gloomy, the space was not utilised well. The bedsheets were dirty, the plugs didn’t work, there was no mini bar as described in the room, the bathroom was not nice. The gym had limited aircon and was very old fashioned. The rooftop pool was nice, but the water was dirty -lots of things floating around in it. The aircon was really loud in the room so sleeping was difficult. The rooms need a major revamp.

Great hospitality service, great facility with gym , pool, etc. Centrally located.

I liked the location for shops, access to transportation, some desent restaurants, and close to historical properties. The staff were very friendly and helpful. In terms of dislike, I was hugely disappointed with the advertised gym. All the gym equipment was and has been out of service for a long time. Apart from free weights there is nothing that works and the air quality was bad. I disliked the bathroom as there is a low ceiling area above the sink, and the light was terrible when I shaved. The couch had seen it's better days, and was very uncomfortable. The mattress on the bed needs replacement. The elevators/lifts are slow and the key card for the elevator took some time to allow connect.

Klimaanlage tropfte beim Buffet in dir Marmelade. Pool hat an mehreren Stellen Verletzungsgefahr und das Wasser war mit undefinierbaren Partikeln verschmutzt. Alles in allem war es kein schönes Hotel das deutlich die besten Jahre hinter sich hat.

First of all, no aircon in the lobby and the corridor at all. It was bloody hot every single day.

So room was very dirty

Good points: hot shower, good sized rooms, nice sized swimming pool. Concerning points: felt run down as soon as we arrived, needs updating everywhere. Bedroom looked like online photo BUT tired, only one pillow each, not pretty like the photo, not enough towels, no bath mat, under the beds was filthy, and picture on the wall was THICK with dust. Emergency torch didn't work, light in bathroom didn't work. There is a clouded window between the bathroom and bedroom but the person in the shower/bath can be clearly seen through it. Not good when you are a family with teenagers! AC not consistent. Has a balcony but it's screwed shut. Breakfast buffet was OK but restaurant is very dark. No changing rooms for the pool. Pool water tasted weird. I wish we'd read the reviews before booking because it sounds like this hotel has been like this for a long time now, and even with poor reviews, nothing has changed. We would not choose to stay here again.

He viajado a Bangkok en 18 ocasiones. Habitualmente me alojaba en Silom Road, en un hotel que hoy esta en nueva construcción. Para esta nueva visita me decidí por FURAMA Silom que esta en la misma calle y fue una gran decepción. La suciedad es patente en todas partes, cortinas del baño podridas, cristales sin limpiar en años, sábanas rotas, caja fuerte sin anclar a la pared y muchos detalles mas. Ni un solo día conseguí que arreglaran mi habitación antes de las 6 de la tarde. El desayuno es limitado pero aceptable, no obstante la suciedad también se manifiesta en la tapicería de los asientos con manchas pegajosas de comida derramada. El colmo es la falta de empatía del personal de dicho comedor, en concreto de la responsable, que al pedirle yo que repusieran huevos fritos (solo quedaban dos y rotos) me dijo que cogiera los que quedaban y entonces repondría. Pero el problema mayor son las cucarachas. He viajado mucho por Asia y se que es normal por el clima, encontrar cucarachas en la habitación alguna vez y que los hoteles hacen desinfecciones periódicas para evitarlas, pero nunca vi tantas en mi habitación, ejemplo claro de que FURAMA Silom no hace un correcto mantenimiento. En conclusión debo decir que este hotel tiene dos cosas buenas, su ubicación y que la cama es muy cómoda, por todo lo demás es en mi opinión absolutamente "NO RECOMENDABLE"

Værelserne er gamle og slidte til trods for at vi blev “opgraderet” til 18. etage. Tæpperne på værelserne var ulækre plettet det samme gælder hovedgæret på sengen! Sengetøjet er så slidt at velcro lukningerne er limet på og kradser når man sover hvis ellers de kan lukke. Der var kakerlakker i frugtfadet ved morgenmaden to dage i træk alt der blev gjort var at smile og knuse den i en serviet. Man tog ikke maden ud men lod den stå. Armaturet på håndvasken var så stramt at åbne at der skulle bruges kræfter. Poolområdet var snusket og ikke specielt indbydende.

I rummet fanns kackerlackor. Fick byta rum som var okej. Dock dålig städning, hårstrån från andra lite här och där.. Bra läge på hotellet och trevlig personal.

I dont like to write negative reviews as I know it impacts businesses and its bottom line but I felt like this was necessary. This was also written in hope that the upper management can be aware and take action. I'll start with the positives. The room I booked was spacious and the location was nice; near some BTS and lots of F&B options. The staff were also responsive and warm. Now with the negatives. I am not stickler for cleanliness and hygiene at all but the room I was in was infested with cockroaches. They would appear if you have eaten in the room and have left morsels of food on tables, floor and even in the sink. Once, I was trying to charge my phone and plugged the charger into the wall. Almost immediately, a tiny brown-banded cockroach crawled out of its home that is the charging port, to my digust. The infrastructure of the hotel is also in need of a massive revamp / teardown. There was a leaky pipe in my balcony that was gushing what looked like dirty water. Saw mould near the aircon vents in my room. Carpets and furnishings have also seen better days. The room also smelt musty. I am sure when the hotel was built in 1986, it was very much a 4 star hotel but its nowhere close to a true 4 star hotel now. I would say its much closer to a 3 star or 2 star if I peg it to hotel standards in my home country, Singapore. All in all, I feel the staff in the hotel are trying their best but is led down by the shoddy state of the hotel and perhaps upper management.

Det var inte städat när vi checkade in. Balkongdörren var igenbommad och fick inte öppnad. Kackerlackor på rummet och i korridoren. Riktigt slitet och sunkigt. Inte alls 4 stjärniga standard som utlovat.

Fremstår utroligt slidt. Skimmelsvamp flere steder. Hylder falder ned. Mangelfuld rengøring. Heller imponeret over morgenmad.

The a/c did not work properly in our room so there was rather hot to sleep. The cleanliness of the accommodation was not at a good level. The room also had a broken chair, a worn-out couch and stains on the sheets. The breakfast was quite extensive, but not special. The omelette was full of eggshells. The rooftop pool was a nice addition, but the sunbeds couldn't accommodate many people at the same time. The location of the hotel was ok and the price of the accommodation was not too expensive.

Have stayed here several times over the last 10-12 years. Always reliable and comfortable. On this occasion I found the room to be very warm. The air conditioning appeared to be struggling. It made for an uncomfortable evening. As a group we had booked 2 rooms. Both rooms had issues with temperature. This made it an uncomfortable stay on this occasion. The buffet breakfast is wonderful. Plenty to chose from

No access to balcony ( locked )

Overall my experience was good at this location. Nice room on the 19th floor with a balcony, however it’s not accessible due to locked doors by the facility, absolutely useless since this was one of the reasons I booked this location. Housekeeping was great and helpful, however the restaurant attendant for breakfast needs some additional training on proper customer service. My reservation showed 2 breakfast included with my room, however when I had my friend join for breakfast I was rudely interrupted being told I only was allowed one breakfast with my room.. was charged 199 baht for the so called extra breakfast, even my reservation showed it included 2 breakfast daily. Front desk was always helpful and efficient.

I booked this based on pictures and rating. A nice good looking family room, a bit expensive. I thought it would live up to this. In reality we got checked in and headed for room. They gave us one of the oldest worst maintenaned room possible. I got down to the reception and complained. They showed us another much better room that we accepted without any extra costs. I do not even understand why they give customers the worst possible room, when they have better renovated same type of room available.

Schlecht fand ich das einchecken im Furama, unser Flugzeug landete in Bangkok um 6:50 morgens. Nach einem stressigen Flug und einer Odyssey über den Flughafen erreichten wir das Hotel gegen 9:30 und die Diskussion über das Einchecken startete, da es erst nach 14:00 möglich sei. Nach 1,5 Std. konnten wir dann doch einchecken. Personal ist sehr aufmerksam und hilfsbereit. Der Teppichboden im Zimmer war sehr, sehr Schmutzig

Our overall experience at this hotel was highly positive. Although we initially encountered an issue with our room's cleanliness on a high floor, the staff promptly addressed it and moved us to a more updated room. This suggested that perhaps the first room hadn't been recently renovated. The standout feature was the outstanding service from the staff and concierge, who assisted us in booking day trips, car transfers, and even babysitting. The central location allowed us to explore Bangkok easily, ultimately overshadowing any downsides in room condition. A great choice for those seeking excellent service and a convenient location!

Everything was great, great value. Older building and not as polished as other properties. Only issue was with one of the staff. We had several run ins with the lady at the desk of the restaurant, I'm assuming she was the hostess. She was very rude to us and those in our party. We also saw the same behavior with other people and groups. We were executive and she tried to force my wife out saying she didn't belong there. All this even after we gave her the room number.

It was a decent hotel for a budget travel. Abit disappointed upon check in coz they happend to forget about giving me a room after several guests already got theirs though they arrived later than me. Kinda disorganize there.

Upgraded us for free, friendly staff

The hotel was well located. Reason for low score is no shampoo and soap in the shower, I called to request it, but after 40 minutes nobody came to bring it to my room. I went down, and a woman was really rude attitude and not solving the problem. After 1 hour I got my problem solved.

I was given an upgrade. I appreciated the breakfast included. I appreciated the front desk holding my luggage while I was out touring after I checked out.

Everything perfect the front office staff was kindheartead and really helpfull

It's a quiet place and it's very near to BTS, Chong Nonsi. 30 seconds away from 7-11 and 3 mins walk from the morning local market. The room is very big :)

Fick en gratis uppdatering till större rum samt incheckning 1h tidigare. Ligger mycket centralt och nära Skyttain så man kan ta sig billigt över hela stan.

Positiv: - jeden Tag frische Wasserflaschen im Zimmer - Frühstück von 6-10 Uhr —> für jeden etwas dabei ( Omlett, Pancake, Toast, Obst, Bacon, Salat etc. - Kinderspieleecke im Frühstücksaal - WIFI funktioniert sehr gut - Lage —> Si Lom perfekt, mit Metro oder zu Fuß alles erreichbar in kurzer Zeit - 2 große Betten und bequem - Check in sehr schnell, Personal sehr freundlich Tip: jeden Tag kommt einer mit einem Wagen Eis vorbei —> Kokusnuss Eis für 30 Baht—-> Mega lecker Negativ: es wird jeden Tag nur das Bett gemacht/ nicht gewechselt - Bad etwas abgenutzt, Sauberkeit okay - wenn ihr raus geht werdet ihr 10x angequatscht—> Taxi, Tuk —> nervig - keine Stinkefrucht mit aufs Zimmer —> Strafe 1000 Baht -
