Not a 5 Star Hotel. Being our honeymoon if we knew that there was renovations happening and services not available like lifts, gym, spa and sauna, we would have not booked the hotel. The first room we were put in was old and smelled of varnish. When we wanted to cancel our reservation they wouldn't cancel and offered an upgraded room which was nice and modern. The tiling in the bathroom was extremely slippery when wet and almost slipped over in the shower. Under renovations should be stated in any form of advertising or booking apps. Buffet breakfast was pretty ordinary for the price 780 baht each. We paid 900 baht in total for 8 buffet breakfast meals at another five star hotel in Bangkok. Paying as you go.

Der Swimmingpool war leider sehr frisch, was wohl auch daran liegt, dass der Pool mehr oder weniger keine Sonne abbekommt durch die Hufeisenförmige Bauweise des Hotels. Ansonsten gibt es nichts zu bemängeln.

Ugly barricades around the pool, hot tub out of commission. Keycard fails, got it replaced twice. Somewhat helpful staff, but long lines at front desk, concierge desk has short hours; when asked for cab, was told to use the Grab app and get one for myself (reason: cheaper). Great luggage handling staff. Overall, a decent older property, still lightyears away from Avani Riverside that is often in the same ballpark. Live music in lobby is nice as well as the proximity to Asiatique.

L’hôtel a une navette gratuite (comme les autres grands hôtels sur le fleuve) qui fait la liaison avec la grande stations fluviale. Il est à 8 minutes à pied du centre commercial Asiatique the riverfront avec une grande food court. Il est aussi tout près par le fleuve du Iconsiam et surtout permet d’accéder par le fleuve au Wat Arun. C’est un grand hôtel avec personnel et concierge très aimables et aidants. La chambre est très grande et confortable. Salle de bains un peu défraîchie mais avec baignoire et douche séparées. Vue sur le fleuve magnifique. Grande piscine mais qui est froide. Le buffet du petit-déjeuner a beaucoup d’options.

The hotel itself was lovely and very clean. The pool was nice, however it rarely gets sun in the pool area, if any, due to the high rise buildings around the front and side of the hotel. There were 3 sun loungers by the river as the hotel has one side that backs onto the water and that had lots of sunshine and then there was maybe 4 loungers on a seating area above the pool so a spot in the sun is slim. The pool is very cold as it doesn’t have any sun on it and most residents struggled with how cold the water was considering the temp outside is in the 30’s. We were there for 4 days and the hotel was nice but if you are looking for a spot of sunbathing by the pool, I would think again. If you want to lounge around the pool and always be in the shade ( helpful with kids) this is a great hotel. Hope that helps

Second stay at this hotel with family, located at riverside with chatter boats operating 8am-8pm daily connecting to a BTS station, beautiful amenities, generous room size and breakfast with lots of varieties. Thankfully we got two rooms with internal connections which is great for family, would stay here again!

Very old and tired hotel. Half the lifts out of order, leading to absolutely packed elevator rides. bathrooms very dated indeed, with stained ceilings and water dripping through two ceilings. Totally over priced just due to location over new year. For some reason reception demanded a deposit for the room in cash. I had to refuse twice before he finally accepted he could do it on a card. Meanwhile my friend checked in and didn’t need a deposit at all. Something a bit Fishy. New Year’s party was an organisational disaster. We bought tickets, then got kicked off a table and given a new one. Not treated respectfully at all. Drinks took 30 minutes to get to us! Total mess, nobody had any idea what was going on. Music was terrible, with 2 parties in the same hotel competing for the loudest music. Ticket clearly states that it includes “free flow soft drinks” but they are only serving 3 drinks in total to each person; not even allowing water! Overall: clearly not a five star hotel in the slightest. Needs an overhaul, and customer service needs an upgrade too. Disappointing, and not worth the money paid.

We stayed in the largest suite, the room I think is the most expensive in the hotel or certainly one of the most. Walking in to the room the smell of a sewer hits you. The master bedroom bathroom just smelled awful. So bad it actually woke me up. Also, the hot water didn't work. I had to call maintenance to fix it. Took 20 mins. The hotel itself is lovely and modern. Wonderful dining and spa. If only the room lived up to the rest of the hotel.

We had a wonderful stay at Ramada Plaza. The hotel was spotlessly clean, with a beautiful lobby and large rooms. The view of the river was beautiful and we enjoyed watching all the boat traffic. The pool was large, clean and had lots of sun beds. I would definitely stay here again.

Their commitment to sustainability was next to none as the sheets smelled slightly damped and had obviously not been dried fully. The furniture and design was visibly aged but other than that the stay was satisfactory. Most impressive was the breakfast with many options and a beautiful view by the river.

We like the overall design/aesthetic of the place, but the room is a bit old. The suite is spacious, although the TVs can’t connect to Netflix or other applications. The staff clean our room daily, but we think that they didn’t thoroughly clean it. Usually, we still find trash around. The location is a bit far from the center, but they offer shuttle services (car and ferry)! One thing to consider: an English training program for the whole staff. I think the service would improve a lot if they could fully understand the guests (who mostly speak English, mind you)

Obviously, the river view is amazing. Shuttle to boat pier and BTS station is good. The room was big which was nice. The pool area was nice, too. The furniture is a bit dated as is the old style coffee machine. No body lotion in the bath amenities, and who still needs shower caps?

The hotel is excellent from top to bottom and a great value - at least for what hotels charge in the United States. I would have given it a five except that the party boats going back and forth on the water from Asiatique every night blare loud music past 10:00pm. The sound is amplified by the hotel structure where it bounces from wall to wall. I go to sleep early and this woke me up every night.

Everything was okay instead rooms ,this hotel is a bit old and I don’t think renovated for long time. Bed and pillow wasn’t comfortable and outside was noisy,we have to change the room but it was the same. Location was good close to shopping and rever.

The room is in need of of a refurb, it's kinda dated, but other wise was clean, quiet and comfy. The bed was great and the river view was spectacular. Slight odor in the bathroom. Tried ordering a kids pizza by room service, but got the full size for twice as much and only ate half. Pointed it out on checkout, but they just shrugged. There is a free river shuttle that will take you to the main pier were you can transfer to other river shuttles. Also BTS is there as well. Very close to asiatique.

This hotel stood out in any question You would ask. Check inn was superp, the young man gave us all needed informations and we did feal welcomed. Room was good standard and very clean, food in restaurant was realy good. The staff in the hotel was very professionel (not to much, not to little) . It was our first stay here, but for sure not the last.

Excellent location. Walking distance to Asiarique and hotel offers complimentary (one way) daily boat service to Central Pier. Staff are very helpful too. My husband left his mobile phone in the cab and the hotel staff assisted in contacying the driver. We haven't had the chance to usr the ameneties so couldn't comment on those :)

Property was just OK. Seems dated. check out was terrible. We told them we took 2 drinks from the minibar, they charged us for one on checkout which we paid for. then a day later they sent me an email saying we took they 2 drinks which I told them and double charged for 1 of them. no response when I emailed the mistake. apparently ok to just rip people off. won't be back I dont trust them. stupid thing to considering our total bill.

Nice hotel right in the river. They have a boat that will take you to the main boat taxi station. They also have a tuk tuk available. I would stay here again. Two negatives: the hotel’s restaurant forgot a meal for one of the people in our party. She went hungry that night. 2- check in time is 3pm, two of our rooms weren’t ready until 4pm. No biggies.

We had a very enjoyable experience staying at the Ramada Plaza Riverside Hotel during our recent visit to Bangkok. Their staff is friendly & professional. Their property has a huge outdoor swimming pool, a nice indoor/outdoor dining room facing the Chao Phraya River, great buffet with lots of both Thai & non-Thai food options. It’s conveniently close to Asiatique Night Market where there are lots of restaurants, bars, and souvenir shops.

Dining right next to the river. Stunning River View. TukTuk ride to Asiatik. Breakfast is wonderful, I love Indian Food at the Buffet. Building is old but staff are very well trained and super helpful.

River View room for beautiful views of the Chao Phraya River: The river views are the standout feature of this hotel so I'd definitely choose a River View room over a cheaper city/pool-view room. This hotel stay was inspired by my previous trip to Bangkok where I enjoyed a night time dinner cruise on the river with my girlfriend. The river views are beautiful, particularly at night when the boats and dinner cruises pass by. The hotel is an older property and feels a little bit dated, but my room was comfortable, clean and spacious with excellent soundproofing. Breakfast wasn’t included in my stay and I refuse to pay $40 AUD per person for breakfast so I went elsewhere. There are other options in the immediate area for dinner and I’d suggest: Kowloon Diner and Kurissara Thai Cuisine. Asiatique is nearby, worth a visit (but not cheap) and many of the dinner cruises depart from here. Other than that, it didn’t feel like the immediate area had much to offer, especially for nightlife. If you want to visit Sukhumvit for the nightlife, then public transport is an option: it took just over an hour to get to Nana Station: 20 minute walk from hotel to Saphan Taksin Station, then skytrain to Siam, followed by skytrain to Nana (but make sure you understand which platform you need to be on, or you will lose time by getting on the wrong train and heading in the wrong direction). From memory the trains stop around midnight, so you will probably need a taxi for the return trip.

Great place to stay. Free ferry to Central terminus and tuck tuck to Asiatique nice bonus. Staff very friendly and excellent service.

Stayed during the low season while the hotel undergoes extensive renovations to rooms and restaurant facilities. The hotel managed the disruptions well, although the temporary breakfast facilities was like central train station around 9.30 am! Thank god the pool was available throughout our stay as it is one of the best hotel pools in Bangkok.

Good riverside location and very helpful staff. Nice pool and free chao praya river boat shuttle service. Hotel nis ild and rooms are a bit worn, but a very good value for a barely 5 star property.
