What guests think

Some areas feel dated or are under renovation, and room quality varies by wing, with occasional noise from thin walls or slamming doors. Breakfast is widely liked, though a few note limited fruit, weaker coffee, or items not replenished near closing, and limited non-dairy options. Overall, it suits travellers seeking a simple, no-frills stopover that trades modern polish for price.

Facilities

Facilities are simple and undergoing some renovations; parking is available but the lot/entrance can be rough, and some areas (elevator, guest laundry) drew complaints or temporary closures. Hot tub suites are available, and accessibility can involve stairs even after using the elevator.

The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly, but the hotel is definitely shabby and needs updating. The lobby also had an unpleasant smell and the outside looked like a construction project that had been canceled sometime ago. Overall, I would give it a score of 4 out of 10.

Even though there is an elevator, a lot of rooms require you to use stairs after using the elevator which wasn’t stated. The bathroom wasn’t cleaned well around the sink and it was easily visible. Breakfast is served till 1000 but at 940 with a lot of guests present, there were no hot items left and they stated they weren’t making more. On our last morning at 920 they were out of hot items again and didn’t put out any more even when asked if there would be more items. I booked a hotel with breakfast included, I expect to get the breakfast I paid for! Will not stay here again!

Only one issue. The car's front end scraps against the road whenever entering or exiting the hotel from service road.

Rooms are dated and worn. I was not impressed when the young man at the front desk (limited English and difficult to understand) told me that I would have to pay more for rooms that were accessible by an elevator! He noticed my mom walking with a cane and was trying to explain that most of the hotel is accessed by an elevator and then a set of stairs. This should be clearer in the hotel description. Thanks to the manager who noticed my upset, he didn't charge any extra. The biggest issue was the noise. In my room I could hear everything from next door and the room above, including bathroom use and conversations. I definitely wont be staying here again.

Overall experience was great. Room was clean, staff was amicable and complimentary breakfast is always appreciated. Unfortunately I was a little unlucky with them doing renovations on the side with the public laundry facility. Being there for 10 days and finding a landromat was a struggle..would have been nice to have complimentary laundry services for the time being.

The hotel is undergoing some renovations. The room it self was clean and the bed was comfortable. However, you could hear everything, from people closing walking down the hall to the upstairs room toilet flushing. And the AC unit was making some noise all the time and for a light sleeper like myself it kept me up.

Have a list of restaurants close by the hotel, walking distance or delivery. When sleeping you can hear the floor above you flush the toilet and walking around. The a/c units need to have their filters changed more often. Seamed musty smelling. But overall not a bad place to stay.

just wanted to mention something that made me a bit uncomfortable at the reception. The staff member took my credit card to verify my identity and looked at the CVV number. I wasn’t expecting that, since the CVV usually isn’t needed for ID checks. Because it didn’t feel quite right, I went ahead and disabled that card and switched to a another one. I just thought it might be helpful to share this so it doesn’t cause confusion for anyone else in the future.

It is the worst breakfast experience that we have had in Canada. No non-dairy milks, awful condiments for only one type of bread. Most of the condiments in Canada have been without added extras like partially hydrogenated Jif and high fructose corn syrup. And no fruit. It's 2025.
