What guests think

At Quality Inn & Suites PE Trudeau Airport, travellers praise the convenient location near YUL with a free shuttle and included breakfast, but many note dated spaces, inconsistent cleanliness, and noise from the highway or planes affecting sleep.

Staff are frequently described as friendly and helpful, though service lapses occur, including room assignment errors, housekeeping not showing, and front-desk responsiveness issues. Airport shuttle feedback varies from efficient to long waits or missed pickups, and recent power outages without backup generators disrupted stays. Expect a basic, budget-minded stopover with convenience over comfort.

Property is close to Trudeau airport. One of the few that doesn't charge a fee to park but spaces are limited and was quite full by the time I checked in late afternoon. Building is a bit run down but clean. Hallway carpets and stairwell carpets definitely seen better days. Room was quiet though you can hear noise from the highway. One of the lamps in my room didn't work. A couple of power outlets also didn't work. Looks like they put new taps in the bathroom sink and new flooring but everything else is still 90's decor. A/C worked well though a but on the loud side. They do have a free airport shuttle which is nice. Check-in was easy and quick. Tim Hortons and McDonald's walking distance as there is no restaurant on site. For the price, it's fine for a night or 2 stay.

It is close to the airport, but it was advertised as 1.2 miles away from arrivals. However, walking there was almost impossible. When advertising for this property it should be mentioned that the hotel offers shuttle service, which is very convenient.

I received an email at 1 pm day of check in saying there was a scheduled power blackout in the area of the property that evening from 9 pm to 6 am. Assuring us that all needs would be covered by backup generators. They were not. No hot water no tv no lights no backup anything. I would kindly request a refund in full. Thank you.

Friendly staff. Ok amenities, in one case I had a noisy air conditioning in another the main light wern't working. Breakfast was ok. Calls for shuttle from airport or train station are sometime forgotten it seems and there is always an hour delay before you get picked up. From the hotel make sure you confim the destination with the driver as written instructions are not always communicated to the driver by the reception.

Nice room, we found out the power was to be out from 9 p.m. to 6 am when we arrived at 8 p.m.-- should have had email prior to arriving - once there it is not time to change plans. Should have provided flashlights (we had packed small one and made do). Front desk was very helpful. Airport shuttle never showed up to pick us up at airport -- front desk didn't know why, another couple had same issue- waited 45 minutes, then tried to call back but no one answered. Cost us $25 for a taxi. We should have gotten a discount for no electricity/ power outage - none was offered. We stay at this hotel often when flying out of Montreal. Like the closesness, shuttle and front desk staff are most helpful.

Terrible experience. Loud in the halls, two fire alarms, very poorly maintained. Dirty and stained carpets. Stains on sheets, and black mould in the bathroom. Deeply regret staying here. We used the shuttle to get to and from the airport. They overbooked the shuttle and we ended up having to have kids on laps. Waited 50 mins for the shuttle upon our return. I had to follow up while we were waiting and the receptionist told me it was likely due to traffic. They are less than a click away from the airport. There was no traffic. Our mistake and unfortunate experience is your gain. Stay somewhere else.

Holes in the walls and the floor was coming up from its base. The room wasn’t very clean. Very old and dated furniture and fixtures. TV has very limited channels. Maybe 10. No Nickelodeon or anything for kids. Parking is not easy until you realize the is a section behind the building. The lamps were rusting. The key and internet both lost their connection. The shower wasn’t great either although it was hot. I would not stay there again.

The staff are excellent, my husband and I came off a flight and we were so exhausted and left early however our scheduled early flight changed and we had to go back to the hotel which the girls at the front allowed us to stay with our same reservation and use the room till check out for our flight later. This really meant a lot to us as our entire journey was a horibble experience and they made it better for us!

The room was booked for my son who had a late flight landing in Montreal. When he arrived at 1:30 am after traveling for over 12 hours on October 19 the person at reception made a significant error and gave my son a key to a room that had two occupants. Fortunately, the two occupants were awake and very reasonable but it was extremely terrible for my son. When he returned to the front desk he was informed that he would have to pay for a different room as his room reservation was given to someone else. He was able to argue his way into getting a room at no charge. Mistakes can happen but when the employee at reception makes no effort to apologize or help find a solution, this is extremely poor customer service.

The location is amazing. Less than 10 minute Drive to YUL. Close to a Starbucks as well. The property could use an update. The bedding was clean. The staff were excellent. It may be a hotel location to house unhomed or transitional shirt term stays. This is fine - as long as that is communicated to guests in some manner. The area of the hotel I was in, frequently smelled like weed which is not a reflection of the hotel itself.

Location close to the airport and VIA, and the shuttle service makes this a convenient hotel. Staff were helpful and friendly. The hotel is very old and tired. There is no charging station for electronics in the room, the filter on the heater was thick with black lint and dust. Clearly needed replacement and bad for allergies. Carpet in the king bed rooms needs to go. It’s a haven for dust mites and other germs. The breakfast was good - had all the usual items and a good selection for all. For the price this hotel is a pretty good deal but it’s very old and tired. Needs some work.
