My husband and I recently stayed here for a couple of nights on a getaway trip and for a concert. We enjoyed the room and the staff were very helpful! We had never been to Chicago before so they were wonderful at helping us. The only complaint we had was that the valet fee to park was $70 per night and there weren’t really any other parking options, so be prepared for that. But we enjoyed our stay overall!

The rooms are a little run down. Our keys were not working for the elevator, we had to get them reset several times as a result we got stuck on the top floor (30th) figured we’d walk down 6 flight of stairs to our floor (24th) turns out the stairwell doors only open from the outside so we were forced to walk down 30 flights of stairs to get to the lobby. Ridiculous as hell. Maintenance man told me it’s a Hilton standard.

Parking is $70 valet only. Or find a garage close to park at like we did. The hot tub was nice until we saw the dirt floating on the water with the bubbles. Than saw the ring around the whole hot tub of dirt.

hot tub was out of order for the entirety of my stay. there was a sign posted on the pool room door about it stating it was going to be fixed and up and running the day after my arrival- it was drained thee entire time. it's the middle of December and was going to be the highlight of the hotel (for me). the hotel was clean, the attached restaurant is very good, the hotel staff was friendly, nice, and helpful.

Only issue i had is that they dont have parking. It is valet parking but yet when i tried to valet my vehicle they had no spots. So i had to pay for parking across the street.

There wasn’t much noticeable signage outside and the parking options were vague until after we checked in. The staff however were excellent, friendly and informative. The rooms were comfortable and clean. Of the 2 elevators only 1 ever seemed to function - given the volume of people using the elevator it made for some longer waits. Overall for the price, location and convenience to shops and transportation, this was a solid choice that worked out well.

Nice hotel. Standard for a Hilton. Staff response to room issues however was non-existent. Had issues with television not working and contacted guest services. Staff told me this was a reoccurring issue and that they would contact maintenance to have someone address the issue and call me back. Never received a call and maintenance never came. They also had the hot tub drained which is a bummer.

The location is great, walkable to sights and dining. Great views if facing lake side, property well-staffed and felt very safe, front desk and other staff excellent. The only downside is I didn't feel the beds were as clean as they could be - I switched rooms after initial room given due to liquid stain extending from bed sheet to bed skirt (meaning the bed sheet had not been changed); second room seemed to have new sheets but bed skirt was not clean. This made me anxious about the level of cleaning performed between room occupancies. I'd probably stay again but bring disposal bed linen.

I found a sock that didn’t belong to me or my daughter. I found a hair on the bathroom sink counter and in the shower. Thankful we had Lysol wipes with us. I called the front desk for fresh towels because housekeeping cleans every other day. My daughter had to go to the desk at 11pm to get them.

Hotel staff was excellent. Rooms were not ready when we arrived but they held our bags in secure storage while we went to dinner. Rooms were very clean, AC worked great, and the staff was super kind.

Although the hotel felt safe, the walls are very thin especially in the bathroom where I could hear our neighbors. The beds were extremely firm which I understand some may like and is durable for the hotels sake but extremely uncomfortable. In our bathroom we also noticed black spots in different sizes where the wall and ceiling met which appeared to be mold. The staff was very nice. We didn’t utilize any amenities but was in walkable distance to a lot. I probably would not stay here again. The mold was very concerning as i noticed myself using my inhaler more frequently and having a hard time breathing in the room.

Overall the location of the hotel to soldier field and area museums is great. Having a microwave and fridge in the room is also nice. The bathroom is spacious. However, the hotel could use some updating as there was black build up in the shower and you could tell the beds have seen better days in terms of comfort. We checked in online and still had to check in at the desk, other guests had the same issue as well. Overall, the hotel is fine.

I’m very disappointed with this hotel. The bathroom door did not move properly, and it was very hard to open and close. The coffee machine did not work and could not make hot water. The pillow sheet had blood on it and wasn’t clean, and the bed sheet was also dirty with a bad smell. The whole room had a heavy, unpleasant odor. I feel like I completely wasted my money and vacation by staying here.

Great convenient location. Overall a good, Relatively clean place to stay. I guess city living is not for me. Backgound noise all the time of subway and traffic. I didn’t expect that. And the a/c system is extremely loud.

This hotel was just what I needed. Affordable, conveniently located, walkable to lots of restaurants and shopping, and one block from the L. The bathroom sink had a leaky faucet and there were signs of wear and tear in the room, but the killer views of the city and lakefront totally made up for that. Overall, a great stay.

Great value, close to everything we wanted to see: the Art Institute, Buddy Guy's Legends, Millennium Park, Reckless Records. We didn't need a taxi at all--Orange Line from Midway Airport stopped a block away at Roosevelt. Lots of great food and impressive skyline views. The hotel staff was friendly and responsive. The room was clean and spacious with tremendous city views. Would definitely stay here again! The only *small* downside was a long line at check-in time, but otherwise a fine experience.

The room was clean fine but the TV didn't work all weekend. The room was hot and then cold so couldn't regulate the room temp. It was noisy because we were next to the elevators. Most of the time the Hilton rooms are nice but this stay was not very nice.

The front desk staff were very unorganized and super rude. They didn't know how to use their credit card machines, and ended up charging me twice for my stay. When I brought it to their attention, they told me it was my problem and asked me to call my bank. I put my bank on the phone with them - and they told Hilton that they charged me twice, and the staff still did NOTHING to help. I paid twice for my "discounted" stay here. Also, the staff is too busy mumbling under their breath about the customers to finish helping the people in line. I will never stay here again.

I was upset that the phones in the room didn’t work or the side light in the right side of the bed. Saturday before we left for the day we requested that our room be cleaned. The gentleman at the desk said ok he will let them know. We came and it wasn’t cleaned , we went to the front desk we were then told that we can’t have our room cleaned because they only clean every other day. She said we were told at check in with the welcome letter. We told her we do didn’t receive one and the person who checked us in was right there and confirmed that she did not give us one because they ran out she did apologize but the young lady who was rude and talking to us did do any to help. She said like I said we only clean the rooms every other day.

Edgar and the entire front desk team, along with housekeeping, made the first part of my stay truly memorable. They were consistently professional, attentive, and genuinely customer-focused. Upon check in, the front desk employee stated they overbooked King rooms so we had to stay at the Homewood Suites next door for the first night. I asked if that meant we had to change rooms and they said yes. I asked if there was a different type/downgrade room available like a queen so we didn’t have to pack up all our stuff and move rooms tomorrow and she said no, they were fully booked. She called a supervisor over and the supervisor offered $100 off the first night and then when the front desk employee said they already can the card they basically argued with one another over why she did that. Unprofessional to say the least. They called us 20 mins later saying they found a room we could go in without moving but we were already unpacked and rushing out the door for a dinner reservation. Next day we packed up checked out, had them hold our luggage, didn’t have a room for several hours - had to wait to check back in later that day. I booked this room several months in advance and paid full price for a consecutive stay, not to check out and check back in. Same supervisor said she would take $100 off 2nd night. Also, valet parking was full so we were directed to 12 hr parking and had to move car at 7am. Upon checkout asked for receipt showing $200 off and they said it was not noted for 2nd night so he would have someone call me when supervisor came in at 10am. No one ever called. You don’t pay $500+/night for this level of service. Hilton honors member & Very disappointing.

I would rate this stay a 4/10. We got there around 9-10 am, and we wanted to know if we could check in early. I asked, and they said, “We don’t have any rooms, so you can’t do early check-in. Come back around 1-2 pm.” Mind you, the lady at the front desk didn’t even check the computer. Around 5 mins later, another guest came and asked if they could check in early, and the same lady said, “Yes, let me check.” That was odd since she just told me there weren’t any rooms. So I’m looking at her, all confused, and she finally says, “We can help you with the early check-in.” The early check-in fee was $55.95. We got to the room, and it just wasn’t up to par. It’s almost like they just gave us that room because we checked in early but didn’t even clean it well. There were hairs on the bed and in the shower. The bathroom wasn’t thoroughly cleaned, and neither of the trash cans had a bag in it. At least the view was nice. They gave us a paper that said housekeeping would come every other day. We stayed for 5 days and 4 nights, and the housekeeping lady came ONCE at 6 pm. I told her to come in, but then she told us to leave so she could clean our room. That was absurd because 1. It was 6 pm and 2. She clearly saw we were getting ready. All she ended up doing was "cleaning" the bathroom and taking out the trash. She didn't leave any trash bags.The microwave was missing the glass plate, so I had to call, but after waiting 10 mins, I decided to go downstairs and just ask.

Staff was extremely helpful. My girlfriend booked one night originally. I added two additional nights two weeks later. Front staff was able to coordinate the two when we arrived, so we wouldn't have to pack and move to a different room between room bookings. Thank you so much!

Great location for our Chicago Marathon stay…about 1/2 way between expo and marathon start/finish area. Took the train to/from the airport and walked everywhere else we went. Would stay here again!

Nice room, friendly staff, and a short walk from the waterfront parks. Lots of nice restaurants. We especially liked Yolk for breakfast. Twenty minute walk to Institute of Art. An incredible must-see museum.

There were some issues with the elevator. If you didn't touch with key card you couldn't use, but no notice stating that. In addition if you needed to use the stairs you got locked on the stairs. I had a city view. I would splurge for lake view it's better. The hotel was close to some beautiful parks and the lake and trains.

The food offering for Gold Card members was pretty bad. There is no restaurant on site and the only option is a Chinese restaurant which does not have a buffet option. Even the most basic offering is a la carte and invariably ends up being considerably more than the Gold Card allowances. Very disappointing that there is no buffet option for a light breakfast. As a seasoned Hilton user, this was the first time I have come across this situation.

FLIES!! Dining in the restaurant near the kitchen, getting carpet-bombed by a battalion of flies. Distracted while eating in restaurant with guest. Swarmed the next day while checking out. Staff oblivious. Said they “would” report, instead of they “HAD” reported.

Staff very helpful. front desk staff was helpful with directions and places to eat. Room very clean. House keeping very good. Restaurant not much of a selection in foods, all chinese items. need more of a variety. Great food places in walking distances.
