Great place to stay because of location but the rooms ac units are horrible. The room was so hot both nights. No parking on site and its $64 to park across the street and its Valet only.

The property was one had block to Grant Park. Lots of dining options. Clean rooms. Walkable to the cities sites. No parking at the hotel but there is a lot and garage across the street that was VERY expensive.

It would be great if it specified that there is NO PARKING AVAILABLE and that the parking lot across the street is pretty expensive, but expensive!! The overall experience was pretty pleasant though, and if you're staying downtown, you really don't need a car but we rented one and actually got to explore a lot more! The staff is friendly and caring but also very professional and helpful!

The location was good, really close to Grant park and the red line. Lots of good restaurants in the area. Because it is so close to the trains the room was pretty noisy I dont know what was up with the elevators, there wrre 3 but it seemed like only one was working at any given time, which was inconvenient and annoying, esppecially since housekeeping was also using it and you couldnt fit many people in. Major points off for that

Your hotel is badly outdated. Parking is a nightmare anywhere near the property. The hotel building needs drop ceilings in the hallways to cover the exposed wiring and sprinkler pipes. It looks hideous. One thing was nice tho, the window AC unit noise drowned out the L train rumbling by.

Parking is ridiculous. Should anyone have to pay $60 a night to park across the street from the hotel?

There was no parking nor did they validate parking. I spent double the price on a hotel to be there and be in downtown and then still had to park a half mile away. No breakfast, no fridge or microwave. Was not worth almost $200.

The curtains in the rook are too short to cover the windows. How hard is it to get proper curtains? Rooms are very old - paint peeling, old carpets, very institutional. Parking across the street is robbery - $60+ a day. Go to the lot down the street past Buddy Guy's bar and pay $50 for 2 nights (via SpotHero). Great location, but I'm not sure we'd stay again - for the price the rooms should be much nicer. And for the size of our room, having two double beds instead of queen beds is just ridiculous. No coffee/water, etc, but two restaurants connected to lobby.

Friendly staff and clean room

The room was clean, temperature was good, shower worked well, lots of elevators - it filled the purpose perfectly. A good night rest.

The hotel is well placed in the downtown and lot of nearby places are accessible. The room has all the basic amenities. I had a huge bed bug problem though. I couldn't sleep at all at night because of it. I was constantly waking up every hour and trying to get rid of them. I made the decision to not open my bag at all, otherwise they would tag along with me. I had to find accommodations elsewhere for my last night because I really couldn't sleep at all.

Very old, tired hotel. Carpet in the room was disgusting. Shower hardly worked. Avoid at all costs.

Room had old, unvacuumed carpet, dust in windows and on floor, bathroom had dead bugs in corner.

We had an exceptional experience . The hotel was extremely clean and well-maintained. Housekeeping was excellent—towels were changed daily, the trash was taken out every day, and the beds were neatly made each morning. The bathroom was spotless upon arrival, and the room itself was very spacious and comfortable. We really appreciated the small pantry area that included a sink, microwave, and mini refrigerator—super convenient for a short stay. While the carpet was a bit dated, everything else more than made up for it. The attention at the front desk was outstanding. Richard, the staff member who checked us in, was incredibly kind and helpful—he got us into our room right away and made us feel very welcome. Highly recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a clean, comfortable, and well-located place to stay in Chicago!

The room was nothing like the pictures and the carpet was torn and felt disgusting

The staff was really nice but entering our room was a different story. There was no fitted sheet of the bed only a top sheet that was not properly rolled into the corners so one of the nights my partner woke up and her body was on the actual musty mattress. (It was yellow) so naturally she was grossed out and we had to get out of bed to redo the sheets the best that we can to avoid touching mattress. We also had to fix the tv cords since the tv wasn’t turning on. Maybe the carpets can use some deep cleaning. However, the location was in a good spot so easy transportation access.

Excellent location, easily accessible on public transit. It is an older hotel but clean and maintained well. One might want to make sure the reserved room is not facing the street as the train can be noisy if not used to it.

Don’t let the updated lobby fool you! Once you get upstairs & off the elevator you will step back in time…like into an old horror movie. The rooms are very spacious but not updated much. The bathroom was newer but lack of countertops made it difficult. Also the tub was way too high getting in & out of! Carpet is old. Mini fridge was broken.

Left after one night. Windows are not soundproof. Air conditioner was a residential window unit. Room and bathroom extremely small.

Great bed. Firm. No fridge which was problematic. Plenty of food options within walking distance. Internet wifi was good. No problems there. Small bathroom but did love the ledges and places to put your washes and shampoos in the shower. Water pressure was ok. More like a waterfall feel than a spray. Tv was a little dated. Sounded like an AM radio station. The ac window unit was a monster! Little ac but big power. Great nights sleep in the summer. Just need a place to lie your head after walking down Michigan Ave this is a solid place. No frills like the Hilton around the corner. Just a nice 4-walled place for a good nights sleep

The hotel staff was indifferent to the inconveniences that I experienced at their property and Hotels.com did nothing to advocate for me, when I reached out for help.

I have yet to receive my deposit back from my stay

I still have not received my $75 desposit back as the front desk told me I had to pay the deposit if $75 twice because they were seperate reservations. But only returned 1 payment of $75 which I was expecting both to be returned

The staff here is hands down the best in Chicago. Always helpful, polite and positive attitudes.

I had a positive experience day at the Travelodge. They let you drop off the bags before check-in so that you can travel to city without the hazard of doing it with your suitcase. They took care of all our needs. One night we had a small AC issue & the front desk was quick to send maintenance over, and change our rooms. Everyone had amazing customer service.

Awesome clerk at check in. Close to everything. Everyone we talked to was friendly.

This is the perfect location if you are in Chicago to explore this amazing city. It's housed in an historic building right and walking distance to amazing restaurants, the Art Institute of Chicago. The staff was so friendly and helpful. Highly recommend.

Good value for money. At downtown, one block from Red line, Harrison station (which can change to airport Blue Line at Jackson station), and walking distance to a number of museums. 24 hour restaurants near-by (including Subway).

Good location, very central not far from Bus and Metro. Breakfast restaurant and Thai restaurant next door. Rooms were clean but building is a bit old - windows appear to be no very well isolated. You can hear the trains. Very friendly and attentive staff. Would go there again.

I liked it's close / walkable distance to Grant Park, several Chicago Loop train stops, and other attractions. Rooms and faciliteis were fine. The front desk staff was very helpful. They have a security guard at night to check entrants to make sure they are guests who have a room booked.

First time in Chicago and this hotel was in the PERFECT location. Located by so many east transit options, Chicago landmarks and easy dinning/ stores for convenience. The hotel staff was friendly and knowledgeable about the area and easily accessible for any needs. This will be my go to for any Chicago stays in the future :)

Customer service was EXCELLENT! Such nice, friendly and helpful staff!! Everyone, from cleaning service, to security guard to front desk. The room was what I would expect for a hotel in downtown Chicago at the fair price I paid. Older building, do their best to keep it up. Nothing fancy (like the Congress Plaza nearby, which was more expensive), but it served it's purpose for what we needed. Clean. Very quiet - little street noise. Bed comfortable, pillow not to my liking, but that was my personal opinion. Blankets are thin (fine with me, but my daughter used an extra blanket from home we had in the car). Air conditioning worked fine. I had two rooms with 2 double beds, felt they were spacious and both rooms had a small refrigerator, microwave, and counter with small sink - that was very helpful. Desk with a rolling chair and a stationary chair. Our view was not the greatest - Just a brick building next door, but we weren't there for the view. Breakfast is not free, but there is a restaurant/diner that serves breakfast and lunch - good food and friendly service. A parking lot directly across the street - self pay (not valet). It was $62 for 24 hours, cannot come and go with car but I was able to go to my car if I needed something from it. The excellent front desk staff did help me use SpotHero app on my phone to find cheaper parking nearby. I went with the more expensive lot across the street for convenience. Would stay here again if visiting this area of Chicago.

Hotel staff greeted us every time we entered or exited the building and even said good night :) A security guard was available every night and the red line subway entrance was right down the corner. Bonus points because there is a dunkin donuts/baskinrobbins across the street that's open 24/7!!!

Nothing fancy at all about this hotel BUT the service was great, the staff was friendly and helpful and the room was clean. We were in Chicago for the Beyonce concert and wanted to stay in a place that was in walking distance to Soldier Field. The location of this hotel is PERFECT! It's on the far south end of Michigan Ave right by the museum district so you are in walking distance to Shedd, Field Museum and the like. There is a brunch restaurant right next to the hotel and a Chinese restaurant connects to the lobby. There are plenty of restaurants and cages on Michigan Ave and Cane' Chicken as well as Chic Fil-a are just a few minutes walk. It's a great place to stay for a quick trip where you want proximity to things to do and places to eat. Bus and train lines are close too and the Amtrak station is close as well. The room had a "kitchen" area with a mini fridge, microwave and sink. Room was spacious with 2 beds

Although a little dated, the hotel is centrally located to attractions and had easy access to CTA. Good choice of restaurants and convenient stores nearby. Lobby attached to nice breakfast restaurant and also Thai restaurant. Rooms are decent for age of hotel and quiet.

It’s a little disappointing that this hotel doesn’t serve breakfast, but other than that we really can’t complain. The facilities were very clean and comfortable. The location can’t be better. On one side are train stations allowing us to get everywhere we need to go without cars. On the other side is Grant Park and Lake Michigan with spectacular scenery, perfect for a morning run. Staff was very friendly and helpful. We had to make a change in our reservation at the last minute and they handled it all seamlessly. We will absolutely stay here again next time we are in Chicago.

Overall it was a good stay. It was a little older but it was clean. Had a small billing concern, but they were able fix it. The room was very quiet and the staff was nice. There is 2 restaurants connected that is very convenient. I would stay there again.
