Staybridge Suites - Newark - Fremont by IHG

Very nice hotel. Super friendly staff. Pretty decent breakfast. Had scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, waffles, cereal, yogurt, bagels, several options. The fire pit at night was nice. We had the suite with the kitchen. The bed and pillows were amazing! Even the pull out couch bed was comfy. The kitchen was fully stocked with plates, silverware, pots, pans, everything you need. The shower had great water pressure. I would definitely recommend this hotel

Everything was great with the exception that Hotels.com says there is a hot tub and there is NOT.

Clean and comfortable. Sadly the elevator was down 1 full day during our stay so we have to carry our luggage down from 4th floor to our car. Not much help from staff.

First time staying here. It's a newer hotel in a good location near a mall and Costco. The freeway is just a couple of minutes away. Good breakfast selection and plenty of free parking. Very small kitchenette with a full size fridge but it was okay for this trip. We would stay here again.

Exceptional stay for the price. Everything was surprisingly clean and they had a nice business room where I could go get some work done. The complimentary breakfast was another nice perk!

Would stay again!! Stayed in 2 room suite for 2 nights. Perfect for 6 people total. Breakfast was better than expected and had choices. Staff checked daily to make sure everything was good. Wife loved free guest washer and dryer included. Only downside was pool was not heated and no jacuzzi.

The room was clean and practical it had a kitchenette with a full size fridge. Free laundry mat on premises. Staff was very courteous and friendly.

VERY happy with our stay! This will for sure be our go-to when we visit family in NorCal. It is very hard for us to find places: there are 5 of us, and now we often travel with our dog. The price-point was fair - the facilities were fantastic: new and very well maintained; breakfast (included) was solid, better than many; gym was better than many; laundry facilities were better than many; pool looked nice - seemed like some families were using it in December so it must have been heated; no hidden parking fee; no hidden internet fee; property was closest to our family as well.

When we got into our suite there was goldfish crumbs in the bedroom on the floor, when we pulled out the sofa bed there was crumbs and chip underneath the sofa. The sofa bed is very thin and only fit one person beside that the pool and outside was very clean and the staffs are very kind.

My wife and I had a great stay at Staybridge Suites Newark - Fremont. This was our second time staying here, and it definitely won’t be our last. The staff was consistently friendly and welcoming, which really set the tone for our trip. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and spacious, with the added bonus of a full kitchen—perfect for longer stays. Every morning, we enjoyed the complimentary hot breakfast, which was fresh and well-stocked. We also appreciated the social hour offered Monday through Wednesday, with wine, beer, and snacks—it’s a nice touch that makes the property feel even more inviting. The only issue we encountered was a mildew smell coming from the bathroom sink. A work order was placed but unfortunately slipped through the cracks. However, the hotel immediately made it right by adding extra points to my IHG Rewards account, which I truly appreciated. Mistakes can happen, but how a hotel handles them makes all the difference—and they handled it well. Overall, this is a well-run property with great amenities and excellent customer service. We’re already looking forward to our next visit!

The property is centrally located. The room is spacious and clean. The free breakfast is also a plus. We will come back again.

Suite was big and spacious, with a large bedroom and spacious kitchen area, as well as a living room area, with a TV in each room. The hot breakfast was excellent, with lots of options. and a rotating special item of the day. They also had an evening social on specific days of the week with complimentary food and drinks. The staff is very responsive and welcoming, and we enjoyed our stay at this hotel.

This was the most comfortable and practical hotel I’ve ever stayed in. It was immaculate inside, had a fantastic kitchen area, huge bathrooms (with a tub in one). There was nothing we didn’t like!

Stayed one night with family. Property is clean and safe. Just a little noisy at night. Never stayed in a room with such thin walls. Could clearly hear conversations next door. Lots of running around made for a loud night. Climate control is loud too. It’s across from Costco gas so there is always some traffic noise going on. Could hear trucks and cars all night since I didn’t sleep. The breakfast buffet was lacking. The worst one I’ve had. No bacon or sausage. Just eggs and rice.

My wife and I came to this hotel on a quick weekend getaway. We booked a king bed hotel room and even showed the employee at the desk. What did we get? 2 queen beds instead. Very disappointed about that. It’s like he didn’t care what we booked. After we checked in and settled in we went downstairs to the lobby and they had a wine and small bites of event going on. We don’t drink but they had Mac and cheese and some pulled pork and it was good! There is a Costco right next to the hotel which is awesome! We ended up going there and doing our food shopping for the next two weeks. Pretty convenient! We ended up staying in for the night after that and the beds in the room are very UNCOMFORTABLE!! My wife’s back was hurting the next morning and kept getting worse every night we were there! Let’s move on to breakfast. It’s free yes that it true but it’s horrible! No effort put into it whatsoever! Bland scrambled eggs and bagels and waffles and oatmeal. Biscuits were ok and the gravy they had was even worse than what I had in the military! I wouldn’t recommend the breakfast at all. I have stayed at hotels with way better breakfasts! No bacon to be found and the sausages they had out tasted like they were warmed up from the day before. So overall because of the bed situation mixup and the lack of caring and the pathetic attempt at breakfast and the very uncomfortable beds I would give it a 2.5/5. They could do a lot better that’s for sure!

We’re a family of seven, and this room was one of the most spacious suites we’ve stayed in. The room was also very clean, and the staff was super friendly and accommodating. Overall, excellent stay.

With all the options out there for free (Pluto) & pay TV (Amazon, Paramount , Netflix, etc), these were not offered. The provided limited selections were very poor, and most were sports or news. For those of us who come to town on business and want to relax, this was disappointing. I have a lot of allergies so I loved the kitchenet. Well stocked with everything I needed. Also loved that the maid service was minimal - for longer term stays, we can do without everyday full service. Wished the coffee pot was a self contained drip maker (Keurig for example). Forcing the guests to buy coffee pods after the first night is a bit chinchy.

The room is nice and clean. Spacious for a family with 3 kids! Staff is friendly and helpful. Lounge area is nice and open with plenty of space.

Terrible customer service room that I booked wasn’t available

book 2 beds for the family travel but they called me on arrival date told me the 2 bed not avaliable and switched me to 1 bed for 6 people stay.

Staff was unwilling to help after they gave my room to someone else, forcing me to may an additional $68 for an upgraded room I didn’t ask for. My options were take this room and pay the extra or go find another hotel… The cost of their error should have been a loss for the hotel, not the customer. I have had hotels.com reach out for a refund of the $68 and the hotel refuses. I don’t understand how a large corporation thinks this is acceptable. I am extremely disappointed.

Be ready to do the housekeeping yourself. Reception staff looked at me as if i was crazy by requesting light housekeeping. This is a hotel after all, right? Lesson learnt. Will not be staying here again.

Great place to stay. Staff is awesome!!!!

I paid for a 2 bedroom suite in full a month before our trip. After driving for 10 hours to get from WA state to Fremont, CA area, the hotel calls me with 1 hour before arrival and tells me there is no room for us. All they have for us a 1 king suite, for 2 adults and 4 kids. First I am told my reservation only holds a room, not a specific room, even though I paid in full for a 2 bedroom suite. Then upon arrival and questing even more and showing them my receipt stating I paid in full for a 2 bedroom, they tell me it was a "maintenance issue". I was then booked next door in a hotel that didn\'t offer a full kitchen, forcing us to eat out every meal (we had planned on cooking in our hotel kitchen). The manager says they "will make it right and call or text me the next day" but no one ever does. On my final day of checkout I ask again to see a manager (who had no idea what had happened) and she offers me 40,000 IHG points saying it will cover 2 nights stay. Upon looking at points on their website, that really only overs 1 night at most. Very very disappointed.

Front desk staff are very helpful and attentive. Breakfast is very nice.

I didn't get the service I expected, cleaning service was always delayed. Washroom lights were not working for a entire day and night still it was fixed the next day evening after informing front desk 4 to 5 times. They offer light touch services which is only replacement of towels if you are staying for less than 7 days. I stayed for 5 days and still not getting the room cleaned completely was a really bad thing. I have not seen this type of service in other chain hotels like Marriot, Hyatt.

Unfortunately we received zero housekeeping when we should have received light daily refresh everyday M-F and a full cleaning on the 7th day. Even after visiting the front desk multiple times none of the cleanings happened. After staying 8 days of course our garbages were full, we ran out of toilet paper and needed new towels. It was disappointing for sure. I was also told by two different employees, one being a manager that they would put IHG points into my account. I’ve yet to see those points either.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Thirty minutes before our check-in time, Brianna from the front desk called to inform us that they no longer had any available rooms. I had booked a one-bedroom suite with two queens on Expedia two weeks prior. They only had a one-bedroom with a king bed available. Brianna offered to book us at a nearby inn, Springhill Suites, in a studio with two queens. Reluctantly, I agreed since we had traveled seven hours and had no other options. After our stay at Springhill Suites, I received a receipt showing the bill was around $450, even though I paid around $540. I called Brianna at the Staybridge front desk two days after returning home. She said they couldn't refund me because I booked through Expedia. I asked if she could speak to someone who might help me recover the $90 difference. She promised to try and get back to me after talking to a manager, but three days later, I still hadn't heard from her. I doubt I will ever get the money I overpaid. I will never book a room with Staybridge again.

Weekend family visit. Wish I’d taken photos of the room. We reserved the one bedroom, sleeps 6 room. Very spacious and comfortable. The outside surrounding was absolutely quiet. The location was perfect for our getaway. The hotel sits across from the Costco.

Centrally located in Silicon Valley, accepting this means you still need a car to get around. This hotel is clearly designed for business people, and is clean and functional. Staff were friendly and helpful. Parking was easy. I had a two bedroom room for 3 people - this was spacious and functional. It would allow for self catering if you were interested.

My husband and I stayed at the property for 3 nights. It was very peaceful, they have amazing breakfast and I loved their idea of social hours in the evenings.

We always enjoy staying at Staybridge properties. They are always reliable and we know what to expect. We arrived late in the evening, after regular service hours, but still received polite service from the desk clerk. We had a great breakfast before checking out the next morning. Would definitely stay here again.
