The pool/jacuzzi was nice. The breakfast was a full buffet and it was very good. There are many shops and restaurants, although, even if they are within walking distance, I would not walk to them. The room was pretty basic but had everything you needed. The tv can screen share to certain applications on phone. Check-out was easy.

The overall property was about what I would have expected. However, there are a couple of things that I think they should address: The least expensive one would be a PC for guest use. This is a 300+ room hotel and no PC/printer availability - from a cost perspective that is what is called dumb. Secondly, and tougher to fix; either have a restaurant and do a good job or don't have one. This restaurant in many ways is a very poor rendition.

Size of room was adequate. Bed was comfortable enough. Room needed maintenance. Bathroom shower curtain railing screw lose on one side. Sink faucet water pressure was too weak. Shower head needed cleaning. Worst of all, ants were everywhere, bed, bathroom, floor, crawling on door frame. Despite telling Front desk and they said will ‘spray it down’ after the first night, it didn’t get better. Very disappointed.

This Doubletree has two sections. The three-story “annex”, where our room is attached and east of the main tower. Our room was located in this “Annex”, which is certainly older (or appears that way) than the tower-portion of this property. However, the staff does their best to keep it in good shape. Our 3rd floor room was clean as well as the bathroom. Bed was comfortable. Shower worked well, but the bathroom faucet’s water pressure, oddly, was low. The most interesting part of our room was our “garden view”. We had a lovely west-facing balcony with two patio chairs, overlooking the concrete roof of this “Annex” building. Still trying to figure out where the “garden view” was located! 😂 No biggie…enjoyed our stay. Also, easy walk across the street to Starbucks, FYI.

I think you should have a good wifi service as default, instead of guests being a stuck with turtle-speed service for free and then charging $5 for good speed, Might as well charge $5 extra for the room and include a top-speed wifi service. Geez! It's 2025! What's next? Charge for extra towels?

We stayed at the property for 2 nights. The room was nice and neat. The staff both at the Hotel and bistro were very unfriendly, nonchalant and even a little condescending at times. The restaurant staff didnt' even like me and my kid sitting at a table far from buffet before buying the buffet. Even after we bought the buffet didn't really treat us right (at least felt that way could be wrong). This left a bad taste with the hotel overall.

Our experience at this hotel was extremely disappointing. Traveling from New Zealand with two small children—a 10-month-old and a 4-year-old—we had four large suitcases and two small ones. Despite this, there was no assistance offered with our luggage. When we requested help, the staff seemed annoyed and responded that they had never been asked for such a service before. To make matters worse, when I called room service to request a simple toast for my children, I was told they were too busy due to a party happening at the hotel and could not accommodate us. The lack of basic hospitality and customer service was shocking. This was by far the worst hotel experience we've ever had. I would not recommend this place to anyone traveling with family.

Lisa is such a sweetheart. She was able to check us in early and did everything she could to get us a garden room like How we booked. However due to circumstances we took the balcony room facing the pool. She made sure that our stay was beyond pleasant. On a separate occasion, I had booked by accident to check in the next day so she wrote in her notes to fully refund that reservation & helped us create a new reservation on the spot. With her help she checked us in that night & we were refunded for the wrong night that we had booked. Thank you for being the best! Treat Lisa kindly, we deserves the very best

Not happy with front desk reps ! Lots of issues with checking in. Gave us wrong room we have booked and they were offering us to move when we already resting or started our night. She said we cannot move if we have used the room. What’s that? Invading our privacy telling us that they’re giving us an upgrade or complimentary for a good room because we have an event to go to. I didn’t tell them we have an event to go to that night and didn’t ask for anything at the beginning but for a room to use that night. Bad experience for staying and declined to give us any courtesy credit, Need to train goid people to keep your guests satisfied. I asked for manager and no one has helped us.

The remote in my room did not work, therefore the TV did not work. I tried calling the Front Desk, but no one picked up the phone. My assigned room was literally the farthest room from the lobby at the farthest end of the hotel complex - I took the remote and walked back to the lobby to get new batteries. The man working the Front Desk was apologetic but couldn't help me; he was unable to find batteries. He also apologized for not answering the phone and said the phone system was currently down. Ultimately, I paid $130 for a room on Fourth of July, to watch TV on my phone.

The front desk gave away my room and left me with no place to stay after i had talked to someone directly the night of my reservation because my flight was canceled. They assured me my reservation would be checked in and i would just have to stop by the next day when i arrived to get my key and pay my deposit. I would be charged for the one night i didnt stay but would have a room for the rest of my stay. When they said i didnt have a room, I waited for a manager to clear up what was clearly a mistake on their part and all the front desk staff did was give me excuse after excuse even when i showed them the call log on my phone regarding when i called. I didnt stay at this hotel because they gave away my room and left me stranded in an unfamiliar town with no alternate options. The nearest available room was super sketchy motel 6 and they had way better front desk staff.

The front desk staff, house keeping and the staff at the Bristro 880 bar/lounge were all very professional, helpful and heart warmingly kind. I would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone on a business or pleasure trip to Newark, California. 💯

Property was very clean and appealing. The front desk clerk was nice and handled my check in well, except she didn’t seem to know how to give me directions to my room. She directed me to the wrong elevator and wrong section of the building. When I returned to the desk, she did ask a bellman to assist me in finding the room. It was in the other direction. He took me half way there and pointed in the general direction. I understand they were busy with a major event, but getting to my room is important.

When I arrived my heater was working in my room and staff sent help immediately. When he realized it would take more time to repair, I was relocated after making sure the heater was working in the new room. However, this room did not have the view I paid for and they were able to relocated me for the 2nd time, assisted with my luggage and made sure heater was working. The staff was excellent! Super accommodating and truly went above and behind for me to have a good stay!

My stay was enjoyable. The hotel, situated in the middle of the east bay, is easily accessible to places I need to go --- shops, malls, outlet, univeristy. My stay was also very comfortable. We had an awesome stay for a night right after The Rolling Stones concert at Levi stadium. Very convenient location only 10-15 min drive from the venue. Easy and quick check in process with outstanding, professional and very friendly personnel. We were greeted with warm freshly baked cookies and bottled water. Our room was conveniently located on ground floor with a lovely patio and direct access to a cute garden and a pond with ducks, perfect four our little one and our puppy. We enjoyed late check out at the pool and spa on the next morning.

The Newark Doubletree Inn is VERY nice. Friendly staff, Restaurant meals very tasty, great quality of food And reasonably priced. E ordered the Caesar Salad and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the Pasta Alfredo with chicken. I really enjoyed the wider noodles they used - was Very tasty !!
