Check in was great- Amenities awesome. Parking is a little confusing.

Valet is outsourced. It took almost an hour to get our car. When our car finally got there, the valet took the keys with him.

Parking is horrible. Not offered valet till AFTER I called and asked where to park-gave me a street but had no address. Dragged our luggage 3 blocks. Upon check in was told where valet was!

Very nice rooms, great view and excellent location, with superb, friendly staff. The downstairs restaurant was also quite good. Only drawback of the property is a fairly limited lobby- not really much room available to wait for the rest of one's party to arrive.

Great location! A bit confusing figuring out where to stop with the car to register. We ended up paying the higher fee to use valet parking. Had to drive behind building in the alley for valet, but we found it convenient for us.

I’m not used to big city life and the traffic and parking instructions were not clear. I spent more money on parking than needed due to unclear instructions and the room was not super cold as most other hotels. HOWEVER, it was a great location for our stay, got to be on a train, ride the water taxi, eat good food, and drink nearby. 4/5 because it was great to say the least

We enjoyed our stay at Arlo Chicago and loved the location. Personal was great, rooms were clean and well designed. Enjoyed the hotel bar/ restaurant as well. The only improvements I would suggest is to have a a mini market section for customers to purchase more water or other drinks and necessities. I have never stayed in a hotel with this was not available. Also, the parking situation was not ideal. It would be nice to have an added valet service, even for extra cost.

this is a great location for Christmas to get you millennium Park and the market in the walnut room at Macy’s. parking was reasonable. The only thing is the restaurant and bar was closed so we were not able to get food or drink there because of a private party I felt they should’ve told us that upfront. so if you need the restaurant, probably best to ask if they have any private parties booked.

The hotel probably needs a renovation soon. It does not have the same vibe as Arlo NYC. The gym was very small and the Peloton bike was not usable for me (seat was broken).The restaurant design was only ok and the avocado toast for breakfast had so many red onions, it was not that tasty. The room was nice tho and comfy and the hotel staff were lovely!

Rooms were very clean and supplied with plenty of soap and towels. The lady at the front desk was extremely helpful and nice. Parking is not on site and can get a bit pricy but there are garage options within a couple of blocks from the hotel. We didn’t eat at the restaurant, but we ate at some excellent places that were close by within walking distance. The location is great in the heart of downtown and very close to lots of things to do. We were in town for Kamala’s book tour and we were able to easily walk to Auditorium Theater from the hotel.

I had a wonderful stay! Location was amazing. The room was so clean and so was the mattress. No signs of any bed bugs!! The staff were wonderful!

I liked the convenient location of the hotel and the staff was really friendly during check in and throughout our stay, I can’t say a single negative thing about them, but the biggest con for me was the fees at the hotel during check in, Expedia clearly states “total price upfront” which I was surprised with an “Urban fee” during check in. Another con was my room was really dusty around the shelves, windows and nook. Overall I wouldn’t consider staying here again in the future.

Everything was fine except for the size of the room. It is a really tiny room. The room and bathroom were very clean and location is excellent.

The room was dirty, with hair on the floor and in the shower. The pillows smelled of body odor.

I was disappointed with my first room—it faced a flat wall with no natural view, which felt very claustrophobic. I had to go down to reception to request a different room. Thankfully, the staff were understanding and helped reassign me. I wish I hadn’t been placed in that room to begin with.

Great location, clean and friendly service. Rooms are reasonable size for a city hotel, but are fairly small (totally fine for my purposes, just FYI for families, etc). This was my first time in an Arlo hotel and will definitely add it to the rotation.

The AC in the room was sub par. Never got below 73. The mattress pad was waterproof/plastic so it was very hot and noisy. The water pressure in the shower was very high, almost ripped your face off. Great location. View of a building 5 ft from the window. Clean. Would not stay here again.

Everything was great except that the room was hot and even if we changed the temperature so that the room can be cooler but it didn’t change. Sweating all night wasn’t cool.

Check in was quick, easy & polite. The room was TINY. I travel to/stay in Chicago 6-10x per year and this was by far the smallest room I've stayed in. I ordered room service for breakfast and waited nearly an hour for food and had to call down (40 mins after ordering) to alert that Id put an order in. This then meant I was rushed to check out and, while there was a line of 3 guests waiting, there was only one person working the desk while two other employees stood chatting with one another and not acknowledging the guests needs. When servicing business travelers this isn't acceptable.

This hotel is totally fine! It was very clean. The staff was nice. The location is OK as a tourist. There seemed to be a lot of business people around so maybe it’s better for business. There is no pool. Both rooms we stayed in had 0 view and the way the building is set up, you are likely to be facing a brick wall. If you care about view and location a lot, I would find another hotel. If those things don’t matter to you as much, this place is great.

The room was very small, you could hear the outside traffic and I was in the 13th floor, the bathroom door didn’t close all the way, and the shower dripped.

Clean quiet hotel, great location - very walkable to all of the downtown Chicago attractions. The room was attractive, clean, well-appointed - it's a nice hotel. Bathroom was spacious with a great shower. The only drawback was that the rooms with 2 queen beds were all "obstructed view" meaning your view was of the neighboring office buildings - so no view to speak of. Apparently the king bed rooms had views? If you're travelling with family, as we were with our college aged daughter, a single king bed isn't an option. We were there new years eve - the adjacent room was incredibly loud until 4 am - so the walls are not well insulated for sound I guess? Also although there was security for the elevators both to go up and down between the floors with rooms, we still had someone knock repeatedly on our door at 3:30am asking for cash or an uber ride to her home - weird, and the first time I've had this experience. Great restaurant on first floor - So overall a really nice hotel, the new years eve experience was a bit weird due to the other folks staying there, but I would stay there again.

The mattress has plastic cover with it under its bed sheet instead of fabric/cotton mattress cover/protector/pad. Not sure if it was original mattress moving package… Not comfortable at all. Didn’t sleep well! Called Front Desk, but no one followed up…

We actually ended up having a great stay here. Property was awesome, beds were comfortable, rooms very clean. Really liked the extra security and felt safe. The only reason why I gave lesser rating was because of the two staff when we initially checked in. Not exactly sure why, but they were pretty rude when we first checked in. They ended up being better when we saw them the second day

For the location of the hotel the price was ok. The customer service and competence of the employees working in the hotel, bar and restaurant are concerning. The few employees That deserve kudos are Antwan, Tyrelle and Nakyla. Each of them seemed to have the correct knowledge and understanding about policies, location and how to do their job correctly. The other employees at that hotel definitely need better training/onboarding so they can better assist customers coming into the hotel.

Review of Arlo Hotel – Mixed Experience I recently stayed at the Arlo Hotel and while the front desk staff was exceptional—truly welcoming, professional, and accommodating—there were a couple of key issues that would prevent me from staying here again or recommending the property to others. 1. Parking Inconvenience: Parking was a major drawback. The hotel does not offer valet or on-site parking, which is especially inconvenient if you’re traveling with multiple bags. Guests are expected to park across the alley at a nearby Enterprise garage. While the hotel validates parking, it only offers a discounted rate—not full validation. We still ended up paying over $40. Perhaps I'm used to a higher level of convenience, but this felt like an unnecessary hassle. 2. Disappointing On-Site Bar Experience: My friend and I visited the on-site bar hoping to enjoy a drink, but unfortunately, the service was non-existent. We were not acknowledged or assisted after seating ourselves, so we left and ended up at Cindy’s at the Athletic Club down the street—a much more enjoyable experience and exactly the level of service we were looking for. On the positive side, the property itself is stylish, centrally located, and again, the front desk team deserves full credit for their outstanding service. However, the parking situation and the poor bar experience were significant enough to impact our overall stay. I truly hope this feedback helps the team improve these aspects for future guests.

While the hotel itself (including the restaurant) is lovely, the staff is what I was impressed with. Our neighbor was blaring music at 11:30 p.m., and staff immediately addressed it. When the neighbors were still loud, they swiftly moved us to a new room without complaint. While I was disappointed with having to move, it wasn't the hotel's fault.

Andy at the front desk was amazing and so professional! Just based on the service he provided, I will be back! Hotel is in an excellent location as well! Would definitely recommend!

The team at Arlo Chicago was wonderful. They accommodated my early arrival and when they realized it was my bday, they upgraded my room. They were warm and friendly to all.

Always my pick for my quick trips to Chicago! Easily accessed from Midway on orange line! Also, enjoy seeing Terrell at the front desk!

Great proximity to millennium park/the bean. Close walk to Cindy’s rooftop, LH rooftop, Riverwalk, and Washington train station.

The location was great, especially if you get off the train at millennium station, it was only a min walk from there. All the other locations were within walking distance as well.,

Easy to find, pleasant check-in process, well laid out room for the space with everything you could need. Bed and pillows were ok. Shower was excellent! Easy check out. The ALK hotel restaurant was out of a lot of food and some drinks at 4pm on a Saturday. Pleasant service though. Nice vibe.

We really enjoyed our stay. The location was top-notch. We were able to walk to events and awesome restaurants. Speaking of restaurants, our food and service at ALK was great!

“Room service” awful. Should be called take out. Came all shoved into one plastic container in a paper bag. Room service is supposed on a cart wheeled into your room with ceramic plates and glasses.

I was disappointed that the restaurant was closed for a private event on Saturday night. I was not able to use it as planned. It should be noted when conveniences will not be available
