The property was well kept, my room was clean. I liked that it was modern and the staff was friendly. However I did not like that there was no microwave in the room. I got to understand upon making enquries that it is a wellness hotel,so that is not promoted. Be that as it may, i found this to be inconvenient. Apart from this I had a good experience.

I was blown away by my stay at the EVEN Hotel in Rockville, MD. The hotel is very modern, clean, and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. When I saw the fitness equipment in my room, I got so excited. Yoga mats and yoga blocks, plus resistance bands with a built-in wall fixture? And guided workouts on TV for free? As a fitness person, this alone made EVEN standout from other hotels for me. Plus, the gym was way nicer than usual hotel gyms. Tons of machines, plenty of space, and very clean. I'd never heard of EVEN before this but I am going to be looking for them on my future travels.

The hotel feels clean and fresh - both guest room and public spaces (gym, lobby), however, be aware that parking was very inconvenient and expensive. We were charged an extra $18 per day to park in a lot that was NOT directly connected to the hotel, and in that lot, the first 5 floors of parking were reserved for residents and "retail customers" only. It took about 10 min to get to the top level of the parking garage, park, and then walk back to the hotel. The hotel parking level was pretty empty and I felt a bit apprehensive walking alone from my car to the elevator in that parking garage late at night. All in all, while the hotel itself was nice enough, I would probably look elsewhere next time I am in the area.

Not a bad place at all, there were just a few quirks that keep it from getting a perfect rating. Parking was $20 extra per day (but at least it was close to the entrance). One of the elevators was broken and apparently has been for quite some time, which made for longer waits. The bathroom door was like a sliding glass panel that left a large gap - it couldn't be locked and might be awkward depending on who is staying with you. I was told by the front desk that the coffee in the room was $5, but it was not labeled to warn you...I don't agree with this practice, but don't know how typical it is. Most hotels I've stayed in offered complimentary coffee. Now for some positives...the hotel is very close to the metro (just a few blocks - Twinbrook station), which made getting into and out of DC a breeze, even for me. And there are a lot of shopping and eating options within walking distance. I definitely recommend staying here it as long as none of the negatives I mentioned are deal breakers.

My room was extremely nasty, the sheets was ripped and had stain so i had to ask for a new one, the floor was dirty which i thought was just stain however the next morning when the room got cleaned the dirt was removed so it seems that our room had not been mopped prior to us receiving it. And there was hair on the walls in the tub.

The bed was awesome. The guy at the reception was very welcoming. I found the carpet in the hallway not very clean. The hotel should definitely look into it. The floor inside the elevator needs cleaning too. Apart from that, I had a peaceful stay.

The room stank so bad and you can clearly tell they don’t clean well. Within an hour of walking on the floors with my socks it was so dirty on the bottom. Stains on the towels and the bedsheets. One elevator doesn’t even work. $200 for a one night stay you would expect to have a clean nice room that smells good. No amount of spray can mask the smell of the room. Just smells literally musty and disgusting.

The room and the hotel in general were very clean and well-kept. I was impressed that the maid came every day to see if we needed service. The location is great -- right next to a shopping center with options for dining, and not far from downtown Rockville. There are snacks, tea and coffee for sale in the lobby, as well as a limited menu of breakfast and dinner hot meals. Rooms also have a Keurig. As a tea drinker, it would have been nice to have some way to make tea in the room, but hot water and a microwave were available in the lobby. Beds were very comfortable and clean. Mini-fridge was nice and the little freezer in it functioned well. Staff was friendly. The description on the hotels.com site said that "after hours check not available" -- but that may have been out-dated info because there was staff at the front desk 24/7. There was a small desk with a rolling desk chair. A minor thing, but a comfortable chair to watch tv would be nice. They did have a yoga mat, stretching bands and other exercise accessories in the room consistent with their healthy environment theme.

I had a coackroach in my room! When I call the hotel lobby so they can come and take care of it, they came in and laugh. Only to extend a free breakfast, not only I had plan for breakfast but I will not eat there after I have found a coackroach running around my room. After declining the breakfast which they have consistently push on me I had to fight to get a little bit of courtesy from their part. The staff was rude about the whole situation! However Expedia customer service handle everything perfectly afterwards!

The service was good. However, the shower lacked a grab bar and they could not provide a proper bath mat so it is easy to slip in the shower. The room is spacious but there are no drawers to unpack clothes, and very limited space for hanging anything up. The room seems to be designed for jocks to work out in the empty space.

The rooms are comfortable and the king bed room has lots of open space for exercising. The last three times that I have stayed, only one of the two elevators has been in service. Fortunately, they are pretty big, so several people are able to get in at a time. Front desk is very nice, and well informed about the area.

Generally clean, my biggest problem is the noise. The air conditioner is loud and wakes me up frequently at night. The housekeepers were very loud early in the morning. The shower drains are a large metal plate, you can hear the shower head dripping all night, I had to leave a washcloth on it to dampen the sound. I also sleep HOT in these beds. Ive stayed here a few times, and my experience is consistent.

I liked that there is a yoga mat and exercise equipment in the room. The workout room is also very good. What I did not like is that the bathroom door is a sliding glass door, and does not shut all the way, so there is very little privacy.

I was less than impressed by this property. We stayed there for three nights for a high school reunion. The TV malfunctioned for over half of our stay despite repeated efforts on the part of the hotel to fix it. We were given the cost of one night stay as a courtesy refund. For an expensive hotel room, the furniture was shockingly poor. The little wooden closet and the chest of drawers look like they came straight from Walmart. At least the bed was comfortable.

The hotel is very nice and I will stay there again. But my room was damp. Perhaps the carpet had just been cleaned? I slipped a bit stepping from the carpet into hard floor. Also, the smoke detector was covered in a plastic bag.

They cancelled my reservation and then tried to blame it on orbitz. Thankfully orbitz found me someplace else to stay. The attendant at the front desk was disrespectful and unprofessional. Their nonchalant cavalier attitude towards my situations and the fact that due to their own mistakes I lost my reservation. which they refused to take responsibility for, only frustrated me further. If it were up to the attendant I would have been on the street that night. I would never recommend even considering this terrible place with horrible staff. They then continued to lie l, saying they could not check me in because I came too late in the evening, as they proceeded to check in several others who arrived later, right in front of me. The dishonesty and lack of accountability is absolutely unacceptable in my opinion. Will make sure to never look at an EVEN hotel ever again!

Fire alarms went off several times between 2-4 am. Ultimately we had to be evacuated. Fire Marshal noted that the alarms had been malfunctioning for several weeks. There was only one employee for the entire hotel, who was (despite heroic efforts) clearly overwhelmed. No manager arrived to help or answered repeated calls. Neither did IHG's internal team for finding alternative accommodations. At 4am -- far from home, with no car -- I had to find my own alternative accommodations. No one from the hotel has followed: not to apologize, explain. I wonder if anyone even refunded my room cost? We'll find out...

Every person on staff was top notch! They wanted to make sure that you were totally satisfied at every turn. All of the staff worked well together to achieve the common goal of taking care of the customer and keeping the property clean and well stocked! I went to go check in and the staff wouldn’t let me as I was under 21. I however had a person with me who was over 21 and was the other traveler in my 2 person reservation. I asked if it was possible to add her to the reservation then since she was over 21 and she told me couldn’t help me and told me i had to call a number. It wasn’t the correct number so it didn’t work when I called. When i told the staff this she called someone and didn’t apologize at all for anything. When she got off the call she told me I had to call another number and they would fix it. I called the second number and eventually they said we were good. I went up to the staff again and she said we could finally go to our room and officially be checked in. The staff still didn’t apologize and just said thank you for your patience. It was an extremely stressful situation that wasn’t helped at all with how the staff handled it.

I’ve stayed at the Even Hotel many times. Everyone working here is very friendly and helpful. The rooms are clean and comfortable. The neighborhood has many many nice restaurants and lots of shopping. The hotel is a short walk from the Twinbrook metro station. I especially appreciate their dog friendliness. Instead of asking me for an additional fee, I was presented with a small gift for my dogs (plastic bone with dog waste bags). I really like this place and the people who work here and make it so nice, comfortable, and welcoming.

Check in was rough ! Front desk didn’t have my room i booked - i asked questions politely and a Latino lady stepped in with attitude and was rude. My room was dirty- walls a mess and a stain on the shade BIG- the shower had hand wash and sanitizer in the shower and the shampoo and conditioner by the sink…i used to stay there for weeks btw 2015 19 for week and it was clean. nice bar and great staff - it’s run down now dirty and staffed by a group of people that struggle with the language and computer at check in- I’m all for hiring anyone for help no matter what- but this staff is in serious need of hospitality training dealing with patrons !!! Too many options in the area strike this one from your list! I loved this place years ago and this Brand should be totally embarrassed by this hotel…!

Sleep In overnight stay to continue travel to DC from 11 hour road trip. Hotel Entrance was confusing, it is down the ramp and we arrived on a rainy night. Parking is the whole back lot of the strip mall. Area has some restaurant options and gas station, 1 hr to Downtown DC. Staff were friendly. Thank you to David- night front desk staff for waiving our parking fee arriving 2 am and leaving 11am- we appreciate it!! Room and bathroom was clean, but face towel smelled. Bed was comfortable and clean. I liked that floor was part hard floor part carpet in the room. Microwave was in the ground floor- please ask front desk where. Overall a good stopover to sleep in.

Lots of restaurants and shopping. Food at hotel is pricey and food market is well overpriced. Parts are not as clean as they could be. Parking is free, but you share it with a shopping center or have to use the top layers of the garage.

An excellent spot to walk to the Metro. Good restaurants nearby. Room was clean but noisy with the air conditioning turning on and off, despite having free ear plugs in the bathroom. Breakfast was healthy and tasty.
