Sleep Inn Rockville

No one was at desk when wanting to check-in. Instead sign that they’d be back in 15 mins. Shuttle advertised but lady at front desk said they haven’t had that for years. Pool not available. Side door propped open. In secluded location at least on weekends.

Everything was clean and comfortable . I am upset for a reason that they advertise the pool, but it is not available. I even call before reseeving room and staff member told me that the pool was open as well as the check in lady at front desk stated the same. Next morning when i try to take my daughter to swing staff told us it waa close. I pay their price due to the pool access and that is not what we received. My daughter is atletic and swing relax her muscle but it was not available. That to me is false advertising

Staff was very friendly. Room was ok for a night but pillows were really gross and dirty. The bed is extremely uncomfortable as well. Also the bathroom was tiny and had a pocket door that was hard to close. It also had no tub which was dissapointing as my 2 1/2 year old really prefers taking a bath. The hotel itself was in a really easy to find location. The pool is shared by the neighboring hotel and needs some work. The patio furntirure at the pool looks like it hasnt been cleaned in a very long time and the railing to get into the pool came out when i grabbed it to get in. Also the hallways were extremely hot almost like the ac isnt working. Next time ill spend the extra money to stay somewhere a little nicer but this is a good place for staying on a budget.

Excellent price. No pool availability made it a less desirable choice. But we were already booked. Alas. No in-room microwave available but there is one in the dining area with plentiful seating, so it was a fine stay for 1 night.

This is a nice hotel. The room was clean. There is plenty of parking and breakfast is served daily. The Expedia site advertises a shuttle which does not exist. I called the front desk to ask about getting the shuttle from the metro station and was told that there is no shuttle. Considering that I did not have a car, I would have chosen a different hotel.There is no business center.

During my two-night stay, I was consistently unable to find breakfast, only coffee. The room was devoid of bread, apple juice, or orange juice. When I ordered something to eat, I was informed that there was no more available. I visited the establishment at 8:30 am on the first day and again at 7:30 am on the second day, only to discover that there was nothing to eat. Additionally, the room had a distinct damp or wastewater-like odor. Furthermore, when I attempted to use the pool, I found it filled with dirty dirt, prompting me to avoid using it altogether. Upon arrival the system was down, and we had to wait for it to come back online, before we could get into our room. The room itself was humid to the point where the carpet was damp. Even with the air running, it was uncomfortable. The pool was dirty, we didn't use it. Actually left

Staff was less than enthusiastic. Had to ask for a different room as the air conditioner was too noisy to sleep. Breakfast was ok. Fitness room was actually in the hotel across the parking lot.

Situated in a quiet, shady research park. Generally good accommodations. Breakfast was sparse, front-desk service poor, and the pool was closed without explanation.

They said the pool was open but it was not. The breakfast food in the morning was horrible. There was no English speaking staff so it was hard to get the assistance that we needed. The pillows were to soft and the mattress was to soft.

Accommodations leaves much to be desired, needs plumbing upgrade, carpeting dingy, lighting poor, no dial tone on the telephones although room changes toilet in original reservation would not flush moved to another room was not much better, both hot and cold water pressure leaves much to be desired. In addition, at 4:00 a.m. on 8/25/25 there was a mouse running in and around the room, all 3 pillows on each bed were uncomfortable (actually useless) mini refrigerator needed to be cleaned, closet for hanging clothes needed dusting etc. I would never stay in this facility ever again and in good conscience recommend family or friends. THUMBS DOWN three times over

The service representative at the morning breakfast was nice and polite. The room gave the appearance of clean. However, there was only 1 set of towels in a double queen bed room. And when more towels were requested we were told they were out of towels for the evening. A first for me! Then it got worst the next morning my husband and daughter were severely bitten my bedbugs. Had to spend hours in the ER, another 1st for me, with over 40 years of staying in hotels around the world for the military, pleasure family travel or business travel. This was the worst!! I should have trusted the other reviews. A lot of people mentioned the "No towels" issue and no one being present at the front desk. Trust me spend a few extra dollars and stay somewhere eles. :((

The room smelled bad. Didn’t look clean. We supposed to stay for 2 nights, unfortunately I found a bed bug on the next day.

This stay was a mixed bag. Generally, upon first impression, the room seemed clean and everything seemed to be in working order. I liked the way the room was decorated. The bed wasn't quite as comfortable as it looked. The pictures on hotel.com show 4 pillows on each of the two double beds and in my room one of the beds only had 2 pillows. Then I discovered the next morning that the faucet for the sink wasn't attached correctly. It worked fine but was loose and wobbly. In the shower, the floor was very slick. The shower was oval shaped. The faucet was at one end of the oval and the grab bar was at the other end of the oval. This placement of the grab bar made it nearly useless. In my opinion, that shower is just an accident waiting to happen. There was one tiny shelf to hold your bar of soap, and a bottle of shampoo and conditioner. This tiny shelf was too small to hold all three of these things. There was absolutely no place to put a washcloth. There was no shower mat, so I had to use a hand towel as a shower mat. On my last full day, I discovered there was a pile of black mold on the floor under the sink which I hadn't noticed before. That wasy deal breaker. I won't be going back. So where to begin? Room was shabby and run down. Bed was crummy, too. The breakfast was nasty and sparse. But the worst thing we experienced were cockroaches. Not one, not two, but like, lots of them. I took pictures and showed them to the employee at the desk who barely spoke English and was not abhorred, remorseful, or accommodating. I wonder if she even understood what we were upset about. If our traveling friends weren’t in the same hotel, we would have left for sure.

Cockroachs in the shower and bathroom. Uncomfortable beds. Highway noise. One bath towel and no hand towels. Elevator buttons not working.

Stay away from this place... I was bitten by bed bugs, I have red bumps all over my body. Tried to speak with the manager but he is never available… They just don’t care.

First, there were bugs in our room. Pretty sure they were cockroaches. My girlfriend and I woke up to them in the middle of the night. Front desk gave us another room. We canceled 2nd night but ended up staying in new room for second night. The staff are friendly enough. The overall condition of the hotel is very disappointing. Toilet got stuck and apparently was running over night. Obviously, the bugs left us freaked out. It ruined our entire stay in the area. Came back home and immediately sanitized all of our belongings. Please, property manager/owner if you’re reading this, you need to take care of cockroaches. I’m debating on escalating things by sharing my experience with the public and appropriate officials.

I travel a lot and have stayed at many hotels and never experienced bed bugs until my stay here

I was awakened in the night by a rustling sound...I grabbed my phone and turned the light on to find a mouse on the desk trying to get in a bag of pretzels I had..Needless to say I grabbed my belongings and drove home..Apparently there's a rodent infestation that need to be taken care of here..

This is a case where I was looking to save money, so I have no regrets whatsoever about staying at Sleep Inn Rockville. The staff was friendly and it was a short Uber ride to Rockville Square. Those looking for a more luxury experience will be dissatisfied, though, as the mattresses are just "okay" and the room design (at least for the single Queen room I stayed in) is not very functional. All the light fixtures and their switches are across the room from the bed, so there was no way to leave a light on until you got in bed and then turn it off. I think this may be the first time in at least 20 years that I have stayed in a hotel room at any price that didn't have a bedside lamp! It did have a bedside table with easy electric plug & USB access, though, so you can still easily plug in your CPAP, charge your phone, etc. by the bed. The toiletries are scented, so if you are sensitive to scented products remember to bring your own. Again, this property was less expensive than most others in the area by around $50 a night IIRC, so it was the right choice for me. It is truly about budget and expectations.

Convenient, short overnight, no-frills stay. I just wish the night staff who checked me in let me know what time breakfast was, as I ended up missing it the morning of my departure. Otherwise, stay was good for an overnight.

I had stayed here a few years ago and I thought the property has gone down hill since. The room was small, made for one and should not be offered to two people. The queen bed sagged to the middle making it difficult for two. The toilet seat was not tightened down. The faucet was not tightened.

You get a lot for the money. They don't put any holds on your payment card. I always prefer this hotel over the Comfort Inn, with its pool and better gym. The gym is next door at the Ramada by Wyndham Hotel. To access the gym, speak to the front desk at Wyndham. Sleep Inn has a pool and a better gym than Comfort Inn. I don't usually complain; however, the internet was down one of the days as Comcast was doing service work. Speaking of the internet, the speed is shameful and inconsistent. I mean, the speeds are pretty slow for 2025. The Red Roof Inn, which has a single star, has faster internet at peak times. Sleep Inn has slower internet when there is limited occupancy. I have stayed at this hotel countless times in all parts of the building. Maybe it's me streaming games at 2 or 4k. Sleep Inn is the best hotel around for the price and offers a yummy breakfast. The Sleep Inn doesn’t require a hold on your card, while the Red Roof Inn puts a $50 hold on your card, which takes 7 days to return. If you are picking between Sleep Inn and Red Roof Inn for typically around the same price. The Sleep Inn is worth the extra 5 to 20 dollars you pay over the Red Roof Inn

Everything was great except the unusual loud, squealing sound of the A/C fan. It was a very hot day and the A/C cooled well so I’m not complaining too much.

The hotel was very conveniently close to the metro station and shopping. The rooms were outdated and small. We reserved a room with 2 queens and were given 2 twins. Mattresses were old and worn. The bed frames had multiple metal pieces sticking out creating a hazard. The price was good, but the condition didn't live up to other Sleep Inns we've stayed at in the past.

It’s due for a renovation—the carpets are quite worn and it generally looks pretty tired out. But the staff were friendly, the coffee was much better than average, the hot n breakfast was good, and the WiFi was strong. It was fine for a night.

Average and functional. Hotel is very outdated for the area, rooms are small and services / amenities are mostly non-existent, but it was quiet and had no issues. Parking didn’t feel particularly safe, especially with all the “We are not liable…” signs, but there was free parking so at least there’s that. All in all, a bit run down but gets the job done and you get what you pay for.

Front desk left unattended. None available for assistance. I was left to sleep in my car on the day of check in because none was available to check us in.

Complementary breakfast was nice many choices. The sink faucet was loose. When I told the reception they had maintenance come very quickly to fix it. They did a good job and two lights were flickering and then burnt out when I checked out I told them they needed to be replaced And they said thank you and they will take care of it.

I was determined to solve the towel mystery. However at checkout I blanked and forgot. At checkin for 3 people only 1 towel 1 washcloth and 1 hand towel in the room. I went to the front desk and was able to get more. Beyond that everything was good. They don’t clean everyday unless you request service. great location quiet plenty of food and shopping nearby easy access to I-270 and the Shady grove metro.

There was limited staff at this hotel and therefore nobody available at times at the front desk. We had to wait for someone to show up. They did not have enough towels if we needed more - for the pool or room. The drawers in our room kept open because they would not stay shut. Overall, this was not a great hotel - ok for a short stay.

NO one would answer the desk. We tried for two hours because we were checking in late. We had NO towels in our room and our phone was disconnected in the room!! Our friend’s phone was also disconnected. This hotel is dirty, the walls, the carpet even in the halls. It’s horrible! The breakfast was so sad with stale bread and disgusting eggs. Everything was cold.

Well the first thing you see walking to the front door is people that look homeless sitting on the sidewalk out front of the hotel. Then you walk inside and no one is at the front desk and I just stood there for a long time without anyone coming to greet me. The man that finally did come out did not even smile at me. He did not tell me time that breakfast would be or anything and I ended up missing breakfast because there was no sign up anywhere to let me know. There was no phone in the room. The door stuck and was hard to open or shut. The bathroom was the size of a small closet and made me feel claustrophobic. I had to bring my comfort blanket in to sleep that was from my father who recently passed away and I was in such a rush to leave that I forgot it. I tried to call the front desk all day and no one answered because I wanted to make sure they didn’t throw away my blanket but I was unable to get anyone on the line at the location. I ended up calling corporate and they even tried to get ahold of someone on the emergency line and they could not. The nerve of this hotel to charge the amount of money they charge for such a disgusting lazy staffed falling apart building. There is so much more. Oh yeah the outside door locks didn’t work so anyone would be able to just come inside and walk around. The halls smelled disgusting. I wish I had never made that reservation but I usually enjoy the choice hotels brand. This was the worst experience of my life and corporate was amazing

The place was clean, as was the room. The gentleman that checked us in was professional, but not necessarily friendly. The remote in our room did not work - we could only get one channel. As we had been traveling all day, we just went to sleep. The breakfast was eggs and sausage. It was good and the eating area was very clean. The woman that was working in that area, and every other staff member we met, was extremely friendly and professional. Overall, a good place to stay. Clean, quiet, and for the most part, a friendly staff. There was coffee and tea and newspapers available in the lobby. I would definitely stay again.

The front desk was very friendly, however there were stains on the bath towels and it seemed that perhaps the room was not used in awhile. Additionally, when we went to checkout the front desk had a sign that said "be back in 15mins" which was fine, but we were on a timecrunch so we could'nt wait. I tried calling onn2 seperate ocassions to checknout over the phone and no one would answer.

Didn't have breakfast. Otherwise the Hotel was welcoming. Room was good. Desk personnel were expecting me and I was checked in within 5 minutes. I will stay there next time I'm in the area.

Clean and convenient to Maryland soccer complex. Only issue was the bed being a bit firmer than I like but for the price you cannot beat it.

We just needed a 1 night stay before our weekend trip to DC. The hotel was easy to find, the check in was easy and the staff was really friendly.

It was a little hard to find...could use a larger sign at the entrance. Otherwise, an average budget hotel. Staff was wonderful

Staff were pleasant, efficient and helpful. Room was clean and comfortable, but some of the furniture was a little shabby. Refrigerator available, but no microwave. Good as a place to crash for the night (as the name suggests). Other patrons were quiet. The office park is a bit desolate on weekends, but King Farms shops and restaurants are a short drive away.

Room was clean, beds were good, water was hot, had a good size refrigerator and free breakfast was better than most. Check in and out was painless. The motel was in an industrial complex with sidewalks so you could go for an exercise walk without fear of traffic

Cozy room, comfy bed. The breakfast was surprisingly full of options. Washer/dryer on 3rd floor was somewhat convenient (quarters only).

Disappointed to find no green tea, honey, shower caddy, but all this was minor, since the price was terrific & all else was great. Nice room, nice free breakfast, terrific attendant in the breakfast area, etc.

Breakfast options were horrible. Was told that there weren't any clean towels. Rust and/or dirt in the shower. An old roll of tissue in the bathroom when I arrived without an extra roll.
