We chose this property because of the pool and the pool was closed. We didn’t have any towels! Was give one wash cloth and two pillows for four people. The room phone also did not work. There was hair in the shower. The staff was nice about telling us they were busy and could not provide anything but this is unacceptable

Upon arrival the staff was very nice and pleasant. The only disappointment part was the swimming pool was closed down all week, they said, do the kids were disappointed there. Then, upon going to put ice into the ice bucket from our room. The kids noticed that the bucket hadn’t been cleaned well. It had hair and sauce stains inside the bucket and on the top of the lid, which was very disgusting to see.

This hotel was nice, I would stay here again. I came by myself for business. The rooms were renovated and the bed was really comfortable. My only issue with this room is there were pubic hairs in the shower and even on the shower ceiling which was weird. I washed them away but I have a phobia about other peoples hair touching me so this really gave me a bad vibe about the room.

Bathroom was not cleaned. Found multiple hairs all around. Room near noisy exit door so door was slamming all night. Took 3 visits downstairs to get my room key to work. Terrible stay. Definitely would not go back unless had to. Service at front desk was friendly but seemed very new. Just frustrating.

Great place to stay, if you're into entomology! There were 4-5 different species alone in my room, which apparently got skipped by the cleaners. The bed was hastily made (I slept on top of it) and the room clearly hadn't been vacuumed. These are the perils of early check in. Notwithstanding, the location is great. Its a little noisy (270 is a stone's throw)

The hotel was nice, the beds were comfortable and it was in a good location for our needs. It was close to restaurants and the freeway. The cons were the water pressure and the exhaust fan in the bathroom was worthless. You have to open the bathroom door as soon as you are done with your shower.

A lot newer and nicer than the hotels in the Shady Grove area, which isn't that far, but maybe 2 miles away. I have written a lot of reviews in 2018 and 2025 of the Comfort Inn, the Sleep Inn, and the Ramada Inn (or Radisson); they are all much older hotels. I stayed at the Ramada Inn for about two weeks this year, but it was rather old but better than Comfort and Sleep. Typically, the Best Western is priced similarly to these 3 hotels. Sometimes it's more, and sometimes it's cheaper. Of the three hotels on Shady Grove Road, the Best Western and Comfort Inn are priced similar. The Best Western is much cleaner and newer. The rooms at Comfort Inn are also smaller. The.Comfort Inn has slow internet. The Best Western Internet averages over 100 Mbps; at the Comfort Inn, you're lucky to get 10. The air conditioning and heat are very consistent and modern. The Comfort Inn might offer a free breakfast, but the eggs and everything else are processed. The Best Western's $14 breakfast features fresh eggs and pancakes, plus plenty of sides, and it’s all you can eat. I had about three plates of eggs! The pancakes are freshly baked and not processed. The Best Western is the best pick if you are searching. The rooms are much nicer. It’s worthy of a 3.5 star hotel. The Sleep Inn is owned by the same company as Comfort inn. Both the Sleep Inn and Comfort Inn have rodents problems. The Ramada is worthy of 3.5. It is rather old.

Main road was very noisy with ambulances and sirens most of the night going up and down the street. Bed was a bit tilted foot above the head which made laying in bed a bit off. The thing that bothered me most was the fixed shower wall and the way it’s designed. You have to physically get into the shower to reach the water valves to turn on and in doing so get soaked with freezing cold water.

This property is best suited those staying one or two nights at most and dont mind not unpacking their suitcase There is minimal drawer space (located near the floor)for clothing and the hanging space is mostly occupied by the ironing board Bathroom is small but was clean Maid service is done upon request only and as we were told it is not always done leaving you with no clean towels, etc Breakfasts are included at this time but not expected to be in the near future. The safe did not work and was never fixed during our stay. At best an average hotel in a convenient location Not a great visit

Really enjoyed the pool. Our first room was very noisy from the highway. The queen size mattress was blown. Room did get upgraded by the phone wasn't working so had to keep going down to the front desk.

We did have an issue with our room on 7th floor. Very loud humming in the bathroom (73 decibels!). Front desk moved to us to 6th floor. They did it happily and efficiently. The two young men that worked the later shift at the front desk were amazing! Definitely would stay there again!

I could tell the room was remodeled which was nice, but the elevators, rugs, and lobby bathroom were dirty. Also the Spanish lady (didn't catch her name) working the front desk the day we arrived had a bad attitude. She was rude and had a bad attitude. Every time I walked by the front desk she was complaining about the property and other employees. She did not give good impression of the property overall and could use some customer service training.

I was booked for 4 nights. I left after 1. I arrived at midnight from the airport very tired. The desk clerk was joking with a bunch of teenagers who kept interrupting. The room was dirty especially the bathroom. Really disgusting. It was now too late to leave. In the morning I wanted to bathe. In the tub the water control was pulled completely out of the wall! I tried to use it andI did not notice that the shower head was faced into the room rather than down to the tub. As a consequence when I turned on the water it sprayed all over my clothes. I called the front desk to asked to be moved and the desk clerk simply said “No” and hung up. When I went to leave I noticed there were a whole lot of very dodgy people hanging out with the same desk clerk. Really a bad experience. Clean up this place or get out of the hospitality business!!

I do a lot of traveling for business purposes and it's the first time I have stayed in this hotel, of which, I will not support in the future. These are the reasons why: 1. Front staffers act like we are simply a bother to them. There was no welcoming to the hotel. Barely any eye contact, or simple signs of friendliness. 2. When I checked into my room, there were no courtesy bottles of water, so I had to end up going back down to the front desk and purchase two bottles of water that cost me a little over $4.00, tax included. 3. There is no vending machine on any floor to purchase sodas or snacks, so again, I had to go from room 781 to the front desk, and all they had in the frig was Sprite. I wanted a Coke, Dr. Peppers, etc. The snack area was also poorly stocked. 4. Room layout was fine EXCEPT, the large mounted wall TV was facing towards the bed, which is fine, however, I was there on business so I was sitting at the stationary desk to conduct computer business. It would have been nice to be able to adjust the TV so that one could pivot it at angles for a better view while sitting at the desk, or have a desk that wasn't fixed to the wall. 5. Safety: I conduct OSHA based inspections for a living. Every fire extinguisher in your hotel had not been inspection within 30 days as per NFPA 10. 6. Bed was hard and it squeaked a lot when sitting on it or moving from side-to-side.

I stayed at this property several years ago when I first ventured into Washington DC. Remembering the good experience I had, I rebooked this hotel and was surprised to see that it had undergone a good remodel. The hotel looked very nice and the staff was very friendly. The hotel was also surrounded by a series of restaurants that were literally across the street that you could walk to. My only complaints include the fact that the hotel did not offer a shuttle service to the Metro station like it used to, the dining room was turned into a restaurant/bar which took away the complimentary breakfast you got in the morning, and the pillows were rather flat and should definitely be upgraded for what you are being charged to stay there. Aside from those small things, the overall experience was great.

We stayed for one night. The room was very clean however the room was cold. There wasn’t a way to get any heat in the room and no extra covers in the room. I found the restaurant a joke. Dinner is very limited. They only offer hamburgers, two types of salads and one or two appetizers. Breakfast was also limited. The bacon and sausage were cold our toast was also cold. The only thing that was warm were the eggs. Service in the restaurant was very poor to say the least. I personally would not stay there again.

Great property with friendly, helpful staff. The room was nice and the bed comfy. Not a fan of the pillows. 1 was rock hard and the other was a well-used polyfill. Breakfast was pretty good. But not too many options.

Overall the room was fine. However, since they have a restaurant on-site I expected to be able to get breakfast at the hotel. I am traveling for work and don't want the hassle of looking for a decent place for breakfast. I will book a different hotel next time.
