La Quinta Inn and Suites by Wyndham Cincinnati North

WiFi was good. Shower was nice. They offered a breakfast, but we never popped in to check it out. Hotel really isn’t around much as far as shopping or dining. You have to drive a few miles. Returned to the hotel two nights in a row to no lights in the parking lot. There was one set on the side lot, but nothing where everyone was parking at the entrance to the lobby. Completely dark. Did not feel safe at all. The elevator was not smooth. Made a clanking noise every time it opened and closed. The bed base was made out of metal. Every time we sat down on it a loud metal banging noise was heard. Completely bizarre. Never seen anything like it. Otherwise, the area was quiet.

Parking lot was pot hole city some questionable people out side. Hotel stunk terrible of Marijuana elevator was broken i booked a handicapped accessible room and was given room on 2nd floor

I booked this because they said there was a fitness center and even showed pictures and when I got there I asked where the gym was and was told there was no gym and never has been. So if they can remove that there is a gym on Expedia to reflect the truth because people like me wouldn't have slbooked this. It also says there is free access to a gym near by and thats not true either.

First. Elevator was OUT Secondly there was a dog barking for hours. We did a late check in and couldn't sleep because of the barking dog

This property did not have a pool but other than that, this property was perfect for what I needed.

Staff was great and the rooms were adequate. Bathrooms were small and the caulking was pulling loose and was dirty. Paving outside was bad.

The hotel was very clean. The staff was excellent and very friendly. Fyi: There isn't a gym for those gym enthusiasts. The breakfast was basic biscuit and gravy, cereal; pastries; you make your own pancakes and fruit- apples and bananas.

Breakfast was the same everyday: overcooked hard boiled eggs, sausage, frozen biscuits and gravy and pancakes too. Bagels and muffins straight out of freezer, and bad coffee. Didn’t bother after a second day! The only polite staff were the hostess in breakfast room and the cleaning staff. The elevator was broke, glad I saw that as soon as I came in and got a room on 1st floor! Staff at desk were unpleasant and rude. I asked where I could get ice and they said on 2nd floor, when I told her I can’t walk steps she shrugged her shoulders! Not worth the money!

This was a terrible experience. The rooms were dirty and smelled like weed. There was a clump of hair in the bed. The sink would not drain. We left and did not stay.

Room seemed clean enough but definitely could do with a good deep clean. Staff was nice, but everything else was just kinda mid. Get what you pay for I guess.

This La Quinta is run down compared to other ones we have stayed in. The room itself was comfortable, clean, and did not smell. The lobby stunk in an odd way and the elevator was broken. The breakfast area was small and also smelled like the lobby, which it’s attached to. The hallways smelled like marijuana.

We checked in. Immediately you could tell it was a situation where they've tried to make the property look nicer/updated, but all around the updates things were very old and messed up. It didn't smell great. The front desk woman was kind, very soft spoken and unsure of things, but very nice. We went to our first room and my son immediately noticed there were SEVERAL hairs all over the bed/sheets. Then I checked the other bed and there was an actual dead bug under the covers on the sheet. So at that point, I went downstairs and asked for a refund and told her we'd go somewhere else. She said we booked through a third party site so they couldn't give us a refund. I asked for a 2nd room and we would go from there. We go to the 2nd room, and it was worse than the first one. There was something splattered all over the wall/wall art that wasn't attempted to be cleaned at all. You could tell there had been something all over the headboards as well as it was not fully cleaned, it was just like smeared as they tried to wipe it but didn't fully clean it all off. I genuinely could not stay here and feel comfortable enough to sleep. I called my husband (my son & I were out of town for an event he had) he said find another place to stay, I'll send the money. So we did. I went downstairs, told the front desk lady that we just could not stay here and I would be in contact with Expedia about our refund. We went 10 minutes down the road, found a much much cleaner place for $7 more.

Beds were comfortable but made a weird noise when you got out of the bed, noisy bathroom fan, and noisy bathroom closure. The bathroom door is too tight for the opening. Hard to close.

We picked this La Quinta for it's location and they are usually a clean place. The location was good as for clean it didn't have bugs or anything like that. We had to ask every day to have our room made up. Even though the other rooms including our kids room was made up without having to ask. The elevator made noises that made you think it could drop at any minute. The beds were metal so everytime you moved they made noise. TVs could be heard between the rooms. They gave you 1 little bar of soap and a ketchup pack of shampoo. That is their amenities. I will think twice before staying at a La Quinta again.

It was a basic hotel for a night. Nothing spectacular or bad just average. The pool and gym were nice as well. I could hear a lot through the walls...

I was pleasantly surprised with the La Quinta hotel during my two-night stay. My room was small, old and out-dated, but immaculately clean. There were no signs of insects, dust, cobwebs, mold, or mildew. The king bed was very comfortable, and the room was basically equipped: refrigerator, microwave, iron and ironing board The furniture was old and inexpensive but was fully serviceable. If you want a hot breakfast with all the amenities you’ll have to go to a restaurant but the $87 (without taxes) rate doesn’t warrant a big breakfast. I have no interaction other than check in and check out with the college age staff member behind the desk so I can’t rate the service. The previous weekend I spent two nights at the very fresh and comfortable Home2 Suites next-door at a rate of well over $200 a night but I didn’t expect to have to change rooms at 12:30 AM because of a strong pet odor. Truthfully, however, I wouldn’t have ended up at La Quinta if the Home2 Suites had a room that weekend.

Overall the property was clean, but it was run down looking. It needed remodeled and the parking lot needed to be refinished. The beds were not very comfortable and the elevator sounded like it was going to stop working at any second. Every time the door would open it would make a loud bang noise.

Amazing staff! We have stayed here several times and see the same employees. They maintain a great property. Lobby is lovely, rooms are clean and nice and include all we need. Breakfast is always great. Location is perfect for us, and there is parking available for our trailer.

They were having key problems which was annoying. Other than that everything was great.

Initial impression of the hotel was that it was shabby, deserted and run down. Arrived at hotel to check in around 5pm and was told that my reservation had been cancelled because the card on file for booking had already been ran prior to my arrival and they were not able to charge my arrival. When I asked for the reservation to be reinstated they insisted they would not do and proceeded to offer me the same/similar style room for double the price that I booked it for.

Booked with another hotel for this trip and that hotel was horrible! Checked out of that hotel and into la Quinta. La Quinta Staff was very helpful and professional! Very friendly!

Requested a wake up call as we had an early morning graduation, thankfully I set extra alarms on my phone since the front desk staff that checked me in never set it up for us the wake up call. She also seemed put out while checking me in since we arrived late. Not impressed with the staff and service

I was not impressed with the condition of the hallways. We were harassed by a person that wasn’t a guest. Nobody was around to handle the situation. We felt unsafe.

The housekeeper was horrible and the check in person was rude asf I wouldn’t stay there anymore

Front desk guy was absolutely useless. Claimed he couldn't find our reservation then WALKED AWAY leaving me and my family in the lobby. He wouldn't come out until someone else needed help and then miraculously found our reservation but only set our hotel keys to work for 1 day despite the reservation being for 4! When we needed the keys reactivated, he gave us access to the wrong room! Completely incompetent, avoid at all cost.

I was surprised at the quality and nice staff in Cincinnati not far from jungle Jim’s store. There is a restaurant next door that was open later in the evening. The breakfast was an added bonus. The young man attending the breakfast room kept filling up foods constantly and kept the area clean. Along with being so attentive and polite. I would recommend this hotel. It is close to freeway, shopping and restaurants.

Perfect location, nice room, great breakfast.

The hotel is very dirty. The room had a very musty smell. There were a lot of hanging out in the parking lot and folks riding around in noisy cars. Staff were very unapproachable. Not to the usual standard for the hotel chain. If you have a family I would not advise a stay here

I came out in the middle of the night and two people was sitting in my slingshot. I chased them off and they went running down the road. The staff was amazing and they had ran people off earlier in the night. The room was better than most of the hotels I stayed in. Overall I liked this hotel.

My husband and I were attending an event at the Oscar event center which was right down the road. We just needed a place to sleep for the night. Comfy bed, hot shower. We didn't go to the breakfast so I can't speak on that. Definitely not a 5 star hotel but wasn't a hole in the wall either. Would stay again.

Room was ok. The breakfast buffet was awlful. The boil eggs were sour,bagels were hard and tasted like a freezer. There was only cranberry juice, the orange juice button was out of service. The food was warm not hot. The worst buffet I had in a hotel. Also ,the area needs a good cleaning.
