Moxy Cincinnati Downtown

What guests think

At Moxy Cincinnati Downtown, travelers praise the lively, upbeat vibe, cleanliness, and walkable location near stadiums, restaurants, and the river, making it an easy base for games and downtown exploring.

Rooms are modern with comfy showers, but several note they are small and minimalist with limited storage and few in-room amenities like fridges or coffee makers; some also mention missing USB outlets. Service is generally welcoming, though the bar-based check-in can be busy or inconvenient, and occasional hiccups include early housekeeping knocks and being asked to retrieve items yourself. On-site food is limited with no full restaurant; the bar and rooftop are popular and offer welcome drinks and views, but access can be restricted for private events and the experience varies. Expect a trendy, lively stay centered on location and atmosphere over amenities.

booked at this hotel to use the rooftop bar. The bar was closed to a private event so they wouldn't refund anything. The hotel supervisor was rude and unprofessional. The rooms are hot and you can't adjust the temperature. There is no parking and u can't park in front of the hotel to unload luggage as the the valet will run you off.

Everyone was very nice. The only thing was the valet was not available when I wanted to leave in the morning. I literally had to walk into the garage to get my own car and they give the parking permit back to the front desk. So, like a regular garage, not valet. The room was very clean but no hand soap. The hotel has only been open 3 weeks, so maybe they are working out the kinks.

They offered microwave breakfast which they only had one left at 9 am. The welcome drink was vodka and flat club soda. I threw it out! They try to have a cool vibe. Overall, it’s a great stay, especially if you’re going to a Reds game, Bengals game, or something at Heritage Bank Center. The only issue with the room was there are no USB outlets, only standard outlets. Made for a a problem since I don’t bring enough blocks since every hotel I’ve been in lately has had USB outlets installed. Overall, it’s a great place.

Spencer was awesome and Mark I believe his name was also. This hotel does not show some of its neat qualities online. Like pure water to drink in wall on the floors to fill up your cup with ice cold water ,electric shades in the windows. I took lots of pictures and now I gotta upload them online and is on my facebook. The only thing it lacks is ice or refrigerator.

Check in at the bar is ridiculous. They need to have a separate area for check-in. You feel like you’re interrupting the bartender in the middle of their work in order to get your room key while people are waiting for their drinks. It was very uncomfortable. we also called down for a few things for our room and they told us to retrieve them ourselves. They need more employees. I was very upset to have to walk all the way down to the bar/check-in to receive the items that were not in the so-called floor lockers. There is no exhaust fans in the bathroom. It made the room very muggy and moist on a hot summer day really needs to be upgraded with some ventilation.
