The hotel is in a great location. However, for a boutique hotel at elevated prices, the place was filthy. The rooms were tired and old. The bed was somewhat comfortable; however, the room was damp. My first indication of a hotel that pays attention to cleanliness is the elevators, and the elevators at the Lincoln appeared not to have been wiped down and cleaned in months. Hotels should generally eliminate carpeting unless they maintain it thoroughly, and the carpeting at the Lincoln certainly wasn't. As stated, for what I paid this place Needs to improve??

The Hotel Lincoln was really cool, but they were not going to honor our welcome drink tickets at the rooftop bar because they were too busy. I explained we had no other time to use them, so the hostess “let” us get in line at the bar. She said management told her to serve reservations only. Also our TV did not work at all, and we left our autographed picture of the Butcher Babies in our room and nobody contacted us to send it back to us. A bit disappointing.

This is a hotel in an awesome location! Front desk staff were friendly and helpful. However, it’s a very dated hotel. Our toilet did not flush great and they still have window unit AC. It could use a facelift for sure. But it’s very charming and rustic.

Any issues we had were dealt with professionally. My credit card was accidentally left near a register and led to two days of angst trying to find it. Even though the error was an oversight by a staff member all the staff that I asked for help did. They were terrific....and they found it. The hotel is billed as a boutique hotel which assumes good fit and finish. That is not the case. There was a lot of scuffed floorboards, an air conditioner that appeared to be put in its place by eighth graders. The elevator had some paint or other stuff on its walls continuing with the fit and finish issue. The room was cleaned every day with no one suggesting the environmental advantages of not cleaning it...;). We also left our room late usually and the hotel still cleaned the room, made the beds etc. Well done! The room was very small but it did have a spectacular view of Lincoln Park and Lake Michigan. We lived out of our suitcases given the lack of space. There was no room to put down a yoga mat....and barely enough room at the "health club" for the yoga mat as wall. However, almost no one was in the gym during our stay so for two people it was fine. The price was about $100 per day more than usual which made our expectations higher. However, at its traditional price (based on Hotel.com pricing) the hotel was fine.
