Unfortunately their restaurant is closed on Friday and Saturday. But bar is open. And many of the restaurants in the neighborhood are closed on Sundays. So thankfully, they reopen their restaurant on Sunday.

Enjoyed my stay. Small room and bathroom but I was solo so worked for me. Parked nearby in the parking garage, short walk. Valet also available. Only complaint is the elevators. Only 3 and coming down they were always full and one was down. Had to take stairs with luggage for check out but luckily I was only on the 4th floor.

Beautiful hotel property, but rooms are really tiny. Our friend group wanted to hang out in the lobby post-midnight but the front desk didn’t allow that and didn’t provide suitable alternatives. The other challenge was that the elevators were sometimes down and we had to wait a while to move between floors. Overall, I felt we didn’t get good enough value from this stay.

Great hotel and next to the theater we were going to, which was convenient. It was also easy to walk to other attractions. It felt very safe . And the bar was Great!! Honestly i would stay here again just for the bar! My bartender answered questions, gave delicious suggestions, and made a great drink! Strong, but not overpowering (bring cash for tip).

Overall the place was clean, easy to get to and from and pretty much exactly the basics you need in the city. My only gripe was that if you go to the bar downstairs, they add a $32 amenity fee (per day) to your room charge, so be aware of that.

Hotel was convenient and a nice place to stay. The only thing I didn’t like was how I was pretty much forced to get vallet parking. As soon as I pulled up the vallet drivers didn’t even make me feel like I had an option to self park. But overall was a good experience just know if u use valet it’s gone take a min to get your car and if u checkout on a Sunday it could possibly take up to a hour to get your car back.

We enjoyed our stay in Chicago. The property was well kept and central enough/walkable to all the areas attraction and transportation we needed. The staff was exceptional and assisted kindly to all the questions we had and information we needed. Would 100% stay here again! Thank you Allegro Royal Sonesta!

The lovby and restaurant are very nice but the rooms were a little dingy. Alot of mold in the ahower and scratches on the furniture. Room was extremely small. It was fine for a one night stay but I would stay elsewhere next time

I’ll start by saying the front desk staff were very nice and helpful, and the restaurant staff were also excellent. Where things went wrong was the cleanliness of the building. My room felt damp and moldy, and the hallways could use a thorough cleaning there was a noticeable moldy smell in the air. The bed sheets were uncomfortable. It seems the property targets business travelers online but doesn’t present itself well in person. Security, or the lack thereof, appeared to be staffed by a few young kids who lingered in the lobby, talked about their night out, or were distracted by their phones and not always paying attention. I’m not sure I’ll book here again.

The location of this hotel is outstanding. A quick four block walk to the train stations, including all the "L" lines. So close to State and Michigan Ave as well. The bed was completely comfortable and the room was well maintained. I am not a coffee drinker, but there is no coffee in the rooms itself, but they serve it complimentary in the lobby area each morning. The bar was great, with a pleasant bartender. I would definitely stay there again.

The location was good. Staff was friendly. It was clean. But it was hard to enjoy time in the room because of the TV. They had horrible cable with nothing on, and it wasn’t a smart tv so we couldn’t log into any of our streaming services or even stream from our phones to the tv. We had to go out and buy a firestick.

The room was perfect, bed was comfortable and well maintained. The bathroom was nice and shower had great water pressure. Overall the rom was great for what you pay for and I would definitely recommend and go back. Only criticism would be the walls are on the thin side

Superb location, close to all the things you need to see, the hotel was clean and quiet and just enough space. The doormen and staff were very friendly and polite. The front desk rep, Dru surprised my guy with champagne and cake for his birthday!! We will definitely stay here again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. They were super welcoming when we arrived. They allowed us to check in early, as our flight had gotten in early and we wanted to explore the city. We had also told them ahead of time it was our anniversary and they left us a bottle of wine, a charcuterie board, and a handwritten note welcoming us and congratulating us on our anniversary. The room was very clean, and was cleaned throughout our four day stay. We had no issues with any noise, and the hotel common areas were also kept super clean. Overall, would highly recommend this property to anyone visiting the Chicago area. It is super walkable to pretty much everything in the city, and the red line is Just a few steps from the entrance.

The staff was very welcoming and approachable. During check-in, Da'Jah was the one helping me and she did a fantastic job. Recommended local places and things to do in the area. Couldnt have asked for a better stay. The room i felt was a little small compared to what we were paying per night but it did its job sufficiently.

Great stay for a weekend trip, located in a central area. All staff were thoughtful and helpful. It is a one minute walk to the subway so it’s super convenient to get anywhere, including the airport.

This property was in a more quiet area so less congested but still a short walk to most amenities. I made use of the gym while at the hotel but did not use the bar or restaurant as we were out most nights. This is a great location for the theatres but we will likely stay closer to more restaurants in the future.

Was in town for a couple of Padre games against the White Sox. Took the Blue line in from O’Hare and then had about a minute walk from the Clark/Lake stop to the hotel. The train ride (Red line) to Rate Field was just as easy, about a 4 minute walk to the State/Lake stop and then about a 15 minute ride to and from the game. Short walk to the waterfront with a ton of restaurants within walking distance. Room was small, but clean and cozy, and all I needed for this solo trip. Would definitely stay here again if ever in Chicago.

Absolutely shocked to find zero dining options onsite. I understand the dining room/restaurant is being renovated. But nothing offered whatsoever to guests is unacceptable. It takes very little effort to offer a token fruit basket or standard pastry alongside the coffee in the morning. The fact that this was overlooked really speaks negatively on how this hotel is managed. There was a group staying at the hotel at the same time that did seem to have access to food, however. I’m not sure what garnered special requirements for one group and not the “average” guest. If I’d known there was zero food available to guests, I would not have made this reservation. To charge a destination fee at a hotel with no food is outrageous. I informed the front desk attendant on check out that I was not happy with my stay, he offered no concern whatsoever. Very poor. You need to do better than this.

We chose this hotel because of its convenient location next to the theater, and the staff—especially the bar staff—were incredibly friendly and welcoming. That said, there were a couple of downsides. Our room had a strong odor, almost like a horse stable, which was hard to ignore. I tried to “smell” past it, but it definitely affected the experience. Another letdown was the lack of food and beverage options. There was no restaurant or room service, no in-room microwave or coffee maker, and not even a small breakfast offering in the lobby. While there is a Starbucks attached to the building, there’s no direct access from the hotel, which felt like a missed opportunity. Overall, for a 4-star hotel, I expected a bit more in terms of room cleanliness and basic amenities—especially when it comes to food and convenience.

Close to lots of shopping & restaurants. But very disappointed that the hotel restaurant is closed on the weekends. Also, they charge a pretty hefty early check in fee. Will not be staying here again. Bathrooms are extremely small.
