The breakfast was great. I enjoyed the salmon eggs Benedict and , a rarity, an excellent cup of tea. We did experience inadequate water temperature for bathing at night. A storm knocked out the elevators on the day of our departure so we were delayed because we did not want to carry our luggage down 11 floors. We were eventually rescued by staff who took us down in the service elevator.

The bathtub faucet in our room was leaking - not dripping but really leaking. We called twice to have someone come fix it and no one ever came. It was loud enough to hear through the closed bathroom door and ac on all night. The carpets were dirty in the main hallways - the parking lot was hard to find and we didn’t even use the right one luckily because we saved 20.00 by parking in the wrong one. The front desk staff was very unhelpful.

We experienced everyone’s worst nightmare, being trapped in an elevator. We boarded the elevator to go to the 10th floor where our room was. When we boarded there were no other guests. The elevator on the way up stopped on the 5th floor for a guest who was going down to the lobby. He declined to board since we were on our way up. After a bit of a delay the elevator resumed going up and went right past our floor and stopped at the 24th floor at which the doors didn’t open. I called the front desk to let them know we were stuck. They sent a maintenance man to our floor. By the time he arrived the air in the elevator was getting extremely hot and my 11 year old daughter was panicking. Maintenance was going to force the doors open. We heard some loud banging and immediately the elevator shot up to the 26th floor. After a minute or two our elevator then went down from the 26th floor to the basement at which the doors opened and we ran out. Two guests were boarding a different elevator and we joined them to the lobby. I approached the staff at check in and told them we had escaped and tell their maintenance we’d made it out. The staff gave a curt apology and offered nothing for the 20 minutes of trauma. No upgrade of room, comped dinner, heck even a free appetizer would have meant something.

First trip to Cincy, and the Netherland Plaza Hilton did not disappoint. It was a great environment that was well styled. You felt like a special guest at all times. The gym you are granted access to is absolutely amazing! Our room was well appointed and had everything we needed.

Great location right downtown so convenient to everything. Hotel is old however and could use some updating in terms of carpet condition and decor. Also long waits for elevator at busy times, appeared only 2-3 of 6 operating.

I enjoyed the historic architecture of the hotel. It is beautiful. It's a great place to have drinks in an amazing art deco space. We had a beautiful corner room. The elevators were extremely slow and when we were checking out many elevators went past full, we couldn't get on an elevator and it was very difficult to get an elevator. The garage is difficult to navigate and we were not given clear instructions on how to find the garage entry.

There were 6 elevators, which should have been plenty to keep up with the crowd but only approximately 3 were running which caused long lines anytime you needed to leave or arrived back. The check in line was the largest wait Ive experienced in all my years of travel.

The hotel was dirty. Housekeeping did not clean appropriately. There was no toilet paper in the bathroom. We had to call for toilet paper. The room was dirty and trash was still in the room. The restaurant was slow to provide meals. We arrived early at 11:00am. They stated they couldn't check us in until 4pm. We came back at 4pm and we were unable to check in until 5:30pm. It was the worst experience. I usually love hilton but this was horrible. The food, location and room was horrible. I would not recommend staying at this hotel.

Hotel room had issues with the AC. The hallways and room were very warm. The room Temperature was set at 68 but never got below 73. The bathroom had a half roll of TP when we arrived. The shower curtain was dirty. The toilet wasn’t cleaned. The carpet in the room was very old and had lots of stains on it. The hallway outside our room had a plate and glass that was left on the floor for two days. Friendly staff but for the price of the room it wasn’t worth it for the quality and shape of that room.

Cleanliness of the room and bathroom was sub par. Bed was fine. Carpet had multiple stains. Lots of issues in the bathroom. The aesthetic of the hotel was amazing. Beautiful lobby. Amazing deco and atmosphere in restaurant and bar. I felt like i took a time warp to the 30s and 40s. I kept expecting Bing Crosby to walk in the room.

Staff and service were friendly but the rooms are so outdated and need to be severely outdated. Not sure if it was just my room but the carpet was disgusting. Had stains on them and we stayed for 4 nights and didn’t have cleaning service come by once.

Hotel was over all nice, but the room was old, pillows were not comfortable at all, extremely flat. (Never been one to travel with my own pillow, but I would have needed 6 of these to make one good pillow 😂) sheets had a few holes in them. Paint flaking off the ceiling in multiple areas. Flooring/carpet was sticky. The water bottles that were left in the room were already opened .

The hotel looks very posh when you first enter, as it has a very grand lobby, however, the rooms are tiny and void of any artwork, etc on the walls. The bathroom was so small that we had to move the door out of the way to use the toilet. The room itself was very clean and, honestly, we were in the room just to sleep but if youre looking for something more luxurious, this is not it. I did not feel that the room was worth the $250/night fee or the $50/night parking fee. Additions, check in was a complete nightmare. We were amongst 50 other people checking in and they had 2 people at the counter, who moved slower than molasses. The check in process definitely needs some work. Other than that, the hotel is in a great location not far from Paycor Stadium, the Great American Ballpark and many restaurants.

This stay was excellent - maybe better than I expected. Admittedly, the building is old (OK, historic) and with that go certain possibly unexpected things (like little stairs you have to go up with heavy suitcases in the lobby to get to the parking garage), but they seem to have kept everything pretty 'elegant' feeling, while keeping prices low and having all the basics in place. Room: - super quiet. these old building seem to have thick walls and thick floors. - nice dark shades. the room darkening type. could have slept all morning. - wish it had better electrical availability, especially by the bed on one side (there was a total of NONE on one side). - extremely large room. we had a king bed, and the rest of the room was like 3 times the size of normal. BATHROOM: - had all the basics covered. Evelyn&Crabtree soap/shampoo/conditioner/lotion TV: - we use a Roku stick which was easy to hookup to the HDMI. big, newish LG TV. PARKING: - attached garage and payment was through Metropolis which works really well. has in/out options and super-easy to use. PRICE: - really good price for the area. WALKABLE: - it is right downtown and we walked to the Red's game and back afterwards with no issues. - lots of restaurants within a few blocks Overall, great stay, great facility. Downtowns are changing a lot, which is kind of sad, and this hotel reflects that, but as far as good value for what a hotel is supposed to do - this one wins.

This hotel was in a good location and less than 10 mins away from the MLB stadium and close to some great restaurants. However, the hotel rooms themselves could use an update. Also, the air conditioning didn't work in the first room they put us in (it was 79 degrees in the room), but they did move us. Great location, outdated rooms.

The hotel common areas are gorgeous and the people working there were great. We got assigned a much smaller room than was pictured, with a smaller bed. There was years of dust behind the bed and the room wasn’t in very good condition. The hotel doesn’t provide parking. Guests have to park in a connected parking garage and pay up to $25 a day.

The property was really understaffed for such a large hotel. Took me over 30 mins in line to finally check in. Order room service at 8:30 it showed up at 11pm after calling several times and speaking to people who didn’t seem to have any idea when my food would be delivered. I called a 3rd time and they told me there had been a mix up. I only ordered chicken tenders and fries and sprite and it was 36 dollars. When I checked out from Valet it took over 30 mins to get my car even though I had requested it through the app before I went down. I had to wait in a very hot room with poor ventilation, with several other people. The Hotel has a mildew smell to it. I overall think for the price I payed 300/night it was not worth it at all. I should have stayed outside of town in a Holliday inn.

I was assigned to a room with someone else already staying in it. I then had to wait an hour at midnight to be helped and assigned a new room along with multiple other guests in the lobby waiting on rooms that had had the same thing happen to them. The staff was completely unprepared for a busy weekend.

The staff made check in exceptionally easy. The hotel itself was beautiful. The room was nice and clean. The only complaint I have is with the 1931 restaurant’s service. Our waiter was struggling, to say the least. But the hotel itself was wonderful. Diego at check in was superb! We will be back - but will avoid the restaurant.

We checked in and was told that the room number was questionable in the system and if there are any issues to walk back downstairs and tell them. Had my 2 daughters with me and walked into a room with people in it. 😳 Front desk apologized and offered my girls free snacks from the shop. We were given a handicap accessible room.

The folks behind the desk were the standout for our stay. Anele? The woman that checked us in! A customer was being pretty rude to her when we walked up and she took it all in polite, professional stride. It’s hard to keep a smile on your face when someone is being rude. She took it and gave them better service than I would have on a good day!

Amazing deco interior! It was a pleasure to walk through the lobby, bar and dining room each day. Room was small but had everything I needed. Sadly, the downtown core seems to be extremely depressed: there were restaurants but 0 retail, much construction but mostly vacant. sad compared to how vital this area used to be.

Overall we had a great experience. This was a family weekend, 11 of us including toddlers in 3 rooms. The reason for not giving 5 stars was the restaurant. Many of us were unhappy with the quality of the food at dinner for the price. Also, one of our plates had a long hair across the food. It was immediately replaced and removed from the bill. However, attention to detail would have kept this plate from leaving the kitchen. Due to the quality of service by our waiter we had an enjoyable evening.

There was no coffee available, when asked for it at the bar, was told it was a $4 charge. Housekeeping kept knocking on the door at 8am and checkout wasn’t till 11am. Breakfast through the week is $25 for the buffet and it was cold, very limited and bland. Continental breakfast at other hotels are better.

The Hilton Netherland is a classic building in downtown Cincinnati. This hotel used to be the train station and the architecture is very interesting. The bathrooms in the rooms need to be re-done, they have tall sided tubs you have to step over to get into, the bathroom is very small and hard to turn around in. The Front Desk service was excellent, most of the servers were excellent and friendly. Room service was not available when I tried calling.
