What guests think

Travellers describe Hyatt Place Atlanta/Perimeter Center as a clean, modern, and conveniently located hotel beside Perimeter Mall, with friendly staff and easy access to shopping, dining, and MARTA, though some operational hassles and inconsistencies impact certain stays.

Many highlight comfortable rooms and a generally safe, quiet environment close to shops and transit. Common frustrations include confusing or paid parking versus a free lot across the street, no in-room microwaves, and breakfast that can feel limited, salty, or chaotic when items run out. Housekeeping is by request and occasionally missed; some report noise, elevator outages, or maintenance quirks like low water pressure or finicky A/C. Expect a convenient, midrange stay centered on location and value, tempered by a few logistical trade-offs.

Facilities

Parking is a recurring pain point: attached garages often require paid parking, while a free public lot sits across the street and can be confusing to find. The bar is appreciated but sometimes closed or pricey, and there is no pool.

The room was excellent, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was a poor effort with food items running out, plates and bowls running out and cold food that should have been hot. Upon checking in I was told that I had two choices for parking, each of which were $18 per night. However I learned later that there is a free public lot right across from the hotel location. I resent being charged for parking when there was a free option.

There was hair in the tub and no tissue in the Kleenex tissue dispenser so that was pointless. There was a lipgloss bottle on the floor and we had to ask if room service could give us new towels because they never came to our room. We did not have the do not disturb so we were confused. Then when they came they did not take out the trash so we had three day trash in our room.

My overall stay was nice. But there were a few things that kept it from being an excellent stay. Both sets of sheets had several rips in them like someone took scissors to them. The shower door also would not stay closed at all which caused the water from the shower to get all over the bathroom floor.

06/13/25- Reservation through Expedia Upon arriving at the hotel with my two small children after a long and tiring journey, I was greeted by a front desk representative- his name began with a "J" and he wore glasses. He seemed to recognize that I had a rough day and kindly assisted with checking us in. After verifying my ID, he handed me the key to room 922. I asked if someone could help unload my bags from the vehicle, and he kindly offered to assist. However, what followed was both frustrating and disappointing. Using the assigned key, I opened the door only to discover the room was already occupied. Thankfully, no one was physically inside at the time, but this was deeply unsettling experience- especially with my toddler being the first to step into the room. The representative then asked if I preferred to return to the front desk for a new room or wait in the hallway. We chose to wait, and he returned shortly with keys to room 710. He mentioned that someone else had the same last name as mine (Hernandez) and got confused. Unfortunately, those key cards had not been properly activated, and we once again found ourselves stranded in the hallway as he returned to the front desk to reprogram them. This entire experience was extremely disappointing. After an exhausting day of travel, being check into an occupied room and left waiting multiple times with two small children was not only inconvenient but unacceptable. Not to mentioned, my husband was also arriving from a work

The early staff front desk member was unapologetically unwilling to assist us, she was unprofessional and surly. There was a water decanter in the lobby without water. We asked for complimentary water and were told the hotel was out of water. Later we saw an elite patron get water. We were elite and did not, nor did the staff member fill the decanter. The male who later took over her shift was helpful and overcompensated for the earlier front desk member. He filled the decanter. The experience will make me rethink my stay at another Hyatt.
