A very nice environment, staff, rooms, comfortable beds. The breakfast was to die for. I loved the free water, as much as you can eat fruits 24/7. Walkable distance to dining options, Sunday night market right in front of the hotel. Nothing can beat such convenience. Some pple commented about the noise, but I didn't notice or feel disturbed with the night market location. I would definitely lodge in this hotel if I ever came back to Chiang Mai. Now you know why they're always booked out. HANDS DOWN THE BEDT HOTEL IN CHIANG MAI!!!!!!

This might be the best hotel experience of my entire life. Every day we had wonderful breakfast with a variety of delicious foods (both western and Thai). There’s access to cold water and fruit all day (amazing!). The pool was clean and refreshing! The staff were lovely, helpful and welcoming. The room was beautiful, the A/C worked well, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean and had great water pressure.

The staff were friendly, breakfast was average but sufficient, room was large, and the location is very convenient. There are complementary mosquito repellent / bicycles at the front desk which makes the hotel feel very warm and welcoming. The only issue was the drainage venting into the washroom. I would rebook when I am in Chiang Mai next.

Great location within Old City of Chiang Mai and is literally one block away from the famous Sunday night market! Room is thoughtfully designed and made the most use of space and the bed is very comfortable. The hotel provides free filtered water and free fruits throughout the day. Oh and don’t get me started on wonderful, home-cooked and changing breakfasts every morning with wonderful staff! What else could you ask for? Highly recommended and if I’m back in Chiang Mai, I will definitely stay with POR Thapae again!

Vanity mirror in room was great. Many hotels are too dark for detailed skin care or makeup, this hotel did not have that issue. Staff was very kind and accommodating, beyond expectation. Breakfast was much better than more places with a good variety of bread types, meat types, vegetable types, rice, eggs, leaf wrapped things. Im at the Stay Nimman hotel right now but i miss the breakfast at POR Thapae Gate haha. Very good. They also had some complimentary snacks/fruit and water. Parking is not easy so we met our drivers at the end of the driveway, no big deal. I would definitely stay here again.

Our tonight stay here was phenomenal. The staff was incredibly friendly, the amenities were plentiful, fresh fruit, and snacks available 24/7, all cold drinks from the cooler in the lobby. Pool area was a wonderful place to enjoy breakfast. The breakfast buffet had a plethora of choices to suit everyone’s taste. We used the laundry service, which was also spot on . . Although the location is a little bit out of the way we found it charmingly secluded. I would stay here again in a heartbeat.

After a 6 night stay we did not want to leave. So very clean and comfortable and in a great position to explore the city. All staff are a credit to the hotel and are interested in finding out what you got up to during the day. Breakfast was top notch. The staff were courteous and helpful. They advised me on the best local place for a foot massage. The room was clean and had all the amenities I needed for the 1 night stay. And the breakfast was on point, especially the fresh, fresh mango.

We love staying at this hotel. This is the second time we have stayed here and we look forward to staying here again in the future. It’s in a good location centrally within Chiang Mai and is tucked away from the Main Street. The rooms have a good layout and the showers have good water pressure.

The facilities on the property were fantastic with free filtered water and fruit available everyday. The staff were so nice and they were always willing to help us out when were trying to navigate the City. Chang Mai has been our favourite place to stay this trip and we believe it is due to our stay at this hotel. We will be back to Chang Mai and will definitely be back to see our friends who help make this hotel a great place to stay.

First time staying at POR and definitely returning. All of the staff were friendly, they provided service with ease. In particular; Daniel, Kuku, and Ema went above and beyond to give us extra assistance with planning and organizing our itineraries, always with a warm and friendly disposition.
First time staying at POR and definitely returning. All of the staff were friendly, they provided service with ease. In particular; Daniel, Kuku, and Ema went above and beyond to give us extra assistance with planning and organizing our itineraries, always with a warm and friendly disposition.

After a 6 night stay we did not want to leave. So very clean and comfortable and in a great position to explore the city. All staff are a credit to the hotel and are interested in finding out what you got up to during the day. Breakfast was top notch. Absolutely wonderful stay from check in to check out. The staff were extremely nice and helpful. The rooms were very clean, the breakfast was delicious, the pool was great, and the location was perfect. I stayed for three nights and had an amazing experience at this property, especially thanks to the fantastic staff. Upon check-in, I was initially assigned a room on the ground floor, but I requested a room on an upper floor. Even after settling into the original room, the manager returned within a couple of hours to move me to a higher floor, which I really appreciated. The breakfast was delicious, and the staff took the time to explain each local dish to guests, encouraging everyone to try them all. Their hospitality was exceptional! Great location tucked away on Sunday Shopping Market street. It was amazing to watch the small street turn into a large shopping, food and entertainment center in hours and gone the next morning. Fantastic hotel, very clean and tidy. Great breakfast buffet each morning that staff were happy to start a little earlier if you were up and out early in the morning. Snacks/hot drinks and juices available throughout the day. Pool area very clean and tidy. Views from room towards the mountains or over Chaing Mai were great.

We love staying at this hotel. This is the second time we have stayed here and we look forward to staying here again in the future. It’s in a good location centrally within Chiang Mai and is tucked away from the Main Street. The rooms have a good layout and the showers have good water pressure.

I highly recommend to stay in this nice Hotel if you like to stay around old Town of Chiang Mai. Besides the very nice room with comfortable beds it's the friendly staff which makes the stay perfect at this place. The Hotel is in a quiet side street just around the corner of Thapae Gate. Nice interesting Choices for Breakfast which they always enrich with new creations while I was there.

Great location within Old City of Chiang Mai and is literally one block away from the famous Sunday night market! Room is thoughtfully designed and made the most use of space and the bed is very comfortable. The hotel provides free filtered water and free fruits throughout the day. Oh and don’t get me started on wonderful, home-cooked and changing breakfasts every morning with wonderful staff! What else could you ask for? Highly recommended and if I’m back in Chiang Mai, I will definitely stay with POR Thapae again!

Das Hotel schaut sehr gut zur Umwelt (kein Plastik - wichtig und leider ungewohnt in Thailand…, Recycling-Möglichkeit selbst im Zimmer). Auch das Morgenbuffet ist abwechslungsreich und sehr fein. Preis-Leistung ist sensationell. Wir werden das Hotel bei einem weitern Chiang Mai-Besuch definitiv wieder buchen!

隠れ家のようなこじんまりとしたホテルでした。全体的に広くは無いですが、隅々まで清潔で快適に過ごせました。特に朝食が美味しくておすすめです。２泊目は朝食スタートが思っていたよりも遅く、食べれずにチェックアウトしなければならず、朝食ボックスをお願いしました。パンとバナナでしたが、ありがたかったです。また、宿泊したいホテルです。

This might be the best hotel experience of my entire life. Every day we had wonderful breakfast with a variety of delicious foods (both western and Thai). There’s access to cold water and fruit all day (amazing!). The pool was clean and refreshing! The staff were lovely, helpful and welcoming. The room was beautiful, the A/C worked well, the bed was comfortable, the bathroom was clean and had great water pressure.

There are complementary mosquito repellent / bicycles at the front desk which makes the hotel feel very warm and welcoming. The only issue was the drainage venting into the washroom. I would rebook when I am in Chiang Mai next.
