Staff were great about upgrading my room to a balcony one as the other only had a very small window. Great location, close to old quarter, shops and eating places. Didnt like their pool area as it was small and slippery edges. Breakfast option was very ho hum

Paying a bit extra and getting a room with a balcony made for a pleasant stay. The room was large and had everything I needed. Staff were friendly and very helpful.The only thing thing I didn't like was the pool.Unfortunately, they had limited space to put a pool and getting to the chairs felt very precarious. There was no room around the pool and slippery tiles. It didn't feel very safe, also a lot of chlorine.

The hotel was off the main street, so it was quiet, yet it was walking distance to a lot. The hotel was clean and modern, and our rooms were as well. It was a small, cozy hotel that reminded me of the small modern New York hotels. The staff was extremely helpful. The breakfast buffet was always delicious and varied. The pool is quite small, but a great place to cool off. My son and I were very happy with our stay here.

Hotellet har en god beliggenhed centralt i Chang Mai super hjælpsom personale. Rimelig god morgenmad. Der er dog ikke for mange parkeringspladser om aftenen. Jeg bor gerne på dette hotel igen.

Utrolig meget larm, meget lille værelse, slidte faciliteter, lille/kold pool og dårlig morgenmad. Vi havde booket til 5 dage men rejste efter 1 selvom de ikke ville refundere opholdet.

I had a great few days. Location is ideal. Breakfast was ok, a couple hot items. Room was very nice, although some storage would have been great. Didn't use pool, it was in shade 24/7, prob due to time of year.

The new hotel was perfectly located for see the markets and old city. The hotel was very clean and well staffed. Our room was very well equipped with water, small ref , security safe. Bath provided Lage cotton towels, shampoo, conditioning and body wash. Lobby sells drinks and small snacks. Pool area has limited seating but was never a issue. Water was very clean during our stay. Breakfast was very similar to our other hotels. If provided it fine. There is a really nice breakfast restaurant a few doors down for about the same price and was very good. The staff is really help you with our needs. All staff members were so very kind.

The property is in good condition and renovated. However the room was small. We are three people and they had an extra bed which is nice. The bathroom is small as well but clean. We saw a cockroach outside of our room. The lobby and breakfast is okay. The staff are friendly and nice. No complains. If you are on a budget then this is your place.

Sleep Mai was a decent stay but definitely needs work. Firstly, we were given a room on the ground floor right next to the hallway window where the trash is thrown out and stored. Sometimes housekeeping would leave that window cracked open which is just asking for roaches to enter. I’m sure it’s as issue too because I’ve seen huge roaches around the property and hotel staff put roach baits in the corners. Location is pretty weird too as their front lobby faces a narrow alleyway next to a motorbike rental lot. It’s stinks of gasoline during the day and the alleyway is so narrow that most tour vans and Grab cabs have trouble driving through or even finding the place. We had a tour van get lost trying to find Sleep Mai that one of the hotel employees had to guide us through their back alley to find the van parked on the next street over. While we were lead through their back alley, my gf stepped in a pile of poop which really dampened the rest of the day and the tour we paid for. Why would the staff even lead us through there. It was disgusting. I know these are things the hotel can’t really control since it’s really the surrounding area around the hotel that’s disgusting and inconvenient, but it definitely made the stay a little tense.

We had an excellent 8 night stay in balcony connecting rooms. Very clean and comfortable with friendly reception staff, a lovely hot shower and crisp white linen. The location was superb. Down a quiet little lane but only a 2 minute walk to the old city moat/wall. It's surrounded by restaurants, bars and cafe's. It's a beautiful area around the moat. It was a 10 minute walk to the night market (daily one) and a 3 minute walk to the Sunday market. There are tuktuks and red taxi's constantly driving past the lane. Just pop your hand out and one will pull over. My only suggestion for improvement is the breakfast. There are constant staples - fresh fruit, toast, yoghurt, cornflakes, juice, coffee, water, rice, fried eggs, ham, local options and a great egg station (freshly cooked omelettes and scrambled eggs from 8-10am). There were always a few rotating options that weren't served in a warmer though (potato wedges, mini waffles etc.). These would be nicer warm. We got around it by asking the lady at the egg station to warm them back up in her pan for us. Overall a great stay and we would recommend it to others looking in this price range.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was simple. However, there were stains on the bed sheets, linens, and towels, which made me uncomfortable. The sound insulation was poor, especially with teenagers shouting during the night and doors slamming in the morning. Overall, it was a reasonable hotel to stay at.

I read the reviews of over a dozen hotels before choosing this one because it had the highest ratings and it was a great choice, walking to everything in the old town, which is the best part of the city, I extended my stay an extra night here but not before walking around to a few other hotels to look at the inside of the rooms and by far this was the best choice in the neighborhood. The staff is great, breakfast is good and the rooms are very clean and well kept, there is not a closet, but there’s a small rack where you can hang your things a desk with a chair and a suitcase holder. If I recommend this hotel is because I looked at at least eight other ones in person and this is the best one in the area for this amount of money.

Breakfast is super limited, the space is small, there was no room for our bags and stuff, not even in the bathroom, for 1 person or maybe 2 I think it's OK, we were 3 and it was too crowded, also our room did not have a balcony and almost no sunligy, it was very dark. For the price I guess that's what you get.

I really like the bathroom in my room. It's clean and the shower door doesn't leak. The only thing that the room is missing is closet space and table space. There were no space to hang the hangers and wet towels. They should install a few more hooks or a closet rod for the hangers. Also, having a wall mounted table below the TV would be nice.

This is a pleasant hotel in a good location complete with good breakfast options. The only negative: If you need a twin room the only ones they have are very small without a little deck or any opening windows, this felt to us quite claustrophobic.

It was a 10 minute walk to the night market (daily one) and a 3 minute walk to the Sunday market. There are tuktuks and red taxi's constantly driving past the lane. Just pop your hand out and one will pull over. My only suggestion for improvement is the breakfast. There are constant staples - fresh fruit, toast, yoghurt, cornflakes, juice, coffee, water, rice, fried eggs, ham, local options and a great egg station (freshly cooked omelettes and scrambled eggs from 8-10am). There were always a few rotating options that weren't served in a warmer though (potato wedges, mini waffles etc.). These would be nicer warm. We got around it by asking the lady at the egg station to warm them back up in her pan for us. Overall a great stay and we would recommend it to others looking in this price range.

I have made three different reservations at this hotel because it simply the best I have seen in the area, I’ve walked to over a dozen different hotels in the old town and I asked to look at the rooms and this is by far the best. I strongly recommend it, The staff is amazing, everyone has a great attitude, I work in the hotel industry and had an opportunity to see the hotel manager work one day and she runs this hotel with a lot of pride like if she was the owner, a very professional hotel, I got to see her working , and I would love to stay here over and over again. Thanks to all the staff and the manager for all the warmth and help!

What a great little hotel! We stayed for 5 days over new year and watched lanterns and fireworks from our balcony as it was located right near the main celebrations. Interconnecting room was perfect for travelling with two kids age 12 and 13. Staff were lovely and breakfast buffet was included each morning. Great location but still relatively quiet. Would choose this place again for sure. My son also accidentally left his reading glasses behind and staff have been so responsive and helpful getting them to DHL for return! I stayed at Sleep Mai? for 8 nights from November 19-27. The hotel is ideally located in the Old City, a short walking distance to the Tha Pae Gate, several Night Markets, and even a tiny Muay Tae arena inside a shopping complex. The staff are awesome and are genuinely eager to serve. They are delightful. The rooms are exceptionally well-desigmed. My only suggestion is to cover the vegetables at the breakfast buffet to ward off the fruit flies. I will stay here the next time I visit Chiang Mai.

Great place, great staff, excellent shower and bed. Breakfast was ok, wait for the Phad Thai. Pretty quiet. Pool was right on the street and pretty small, we didn’t use it. The location is fantastic for exploring, but difficult for car service to find, as it’s in an alley off a busy road. Best to choose a nearby landmark or business and get picked up there. I would use them again.

Clean, modern, decent sized room, nice bathroom & shower & good wifi speed. Staff were friendly. Breakfast included. Bit difficult to find, as it’s down a pokey little road, but close to lots of restaurants & massage places. Excellent value for money, I’d definitely stay again!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here - I was worried about the small windows but there was still plenty of natural light in our room! The hotel was clean which is always my biggest concern and we didn’t have any problems with bugs or anything! We enjoyed our evenings at the pool even though it closes at 8 and the hotel is in a great location next to the canal! We really liked our stay here!

Incredible stay during Songkram festival. Great breakfast, super clean pool. The hotel had everything I needed, and the location is really walking distance from great restaurants, sights. When I visit Chiang Mai again, I will always use this hotel.

I booked the room with a balcony. It was small but very clean and cozy. The AC should be cooler but staff came and fixed it so it was working okay. The staff at the reception was very professional, helpful and smiling all the time. Breakfast was very basic with limited choices but given the price it was okay. All in all a nice place to stay for a short visit.

Very good location close to Tha Pae Gate. Easy to get to the old city, wats and night markets etc. Clean, modern hotel. Friendly and helpful staff. Simple but adequate breakfast. Good coffee. On a very small soi so pickups for tours etc are often on the larger cross streets.

Room was very clean, staff was very friendly, they had a free coffee in the lobby throughout the day. The only thing that could have been improved was the Wi-Fi speed, there times when I could see Wi-Fi speed of up to 5 mbps, which is pretty slow to have a Zoom meeting.
