The room was musty and the toilet flushed so loudly it must have woken all surrounding rooms. The pool was tiny and crowded. I couldnt even get a seat any day i tried.

A lot left to be desired. Building is very run down. The space is super cool, just kinda gross. Flies were everywhere inside the lobby and sitting areas. The pool had drinks from the night before lying out. The actual hotel room was pretty nice. They didn’t have hot water the second night throughout the entire building. Perfect location. Note: the steam and sauna cost extra. It’s not a free amenity. $50 plus tax and tip.

Really beautiful hotel and awesome part of town! They had no urgency to fix their peloton connection in the gym, which was a bummer. But overall, I would happily stay here again!!

Had an issue with the remote batteries being corroded, told the front desk at 4pm, came back at 10:30pm and it still wasn’t fixed. Had to wait almost an hour for them to bring us a new one so we could turn the tv off and go to bed. We also asked for a kettle to boil hot water with in the room and apparently they didn’t have one, which I thought was a pretty basic amenity. When we went to get coffee service in the morning at the bar they were incredibly unorganized and seemed to be really under staffed. Public areas such as the elevators were really dirty and hadn’t been cleaned in a while. Also there was Togo food left in the elevator area that should have been picked up. Finally, my husband ordered two margaritas from the bar that were singles and the total was over $70! That’s ridiculous. With price of the hotel and the photos, I expected more. It lacks that touch of luxury I was expecting.

Location and room size were great and bed was comfortable, however, there were cleanliness issues in the bathroom including stain/mold on the ceiling, dirty door frame, a tub that would not drain and a broken door that would not close. The staff was very quick to respond to the door complaint and came promptly after arrival to fix, but since our arrival was so late we asked for the door issue to be fixed at a later time. Conveniently located to Piedmont Park for the concert, but parking was not included. I booked originally because of the posting stating that parking was included, but must have misunderstood as it was not. It could be added for a $79 a day fee.

The hotel is beautiful, staff was good and room clean. It was a very busy hotel over the 3 day weekend. The rooms are not very quiet - we could hear everything. Very loud throughout the night and early morning with people up and down hallway - loudly talking/shouting/knocking on doors. Won't be a 1st choice next visit to see our son in Atlanta.

Our shower water was a little better than a trickle. The room smelled like marijuana. There were several other things in the room that needed to be refreshed (paint, caulk, shower fixture, etc). I would likely find somewhere else to stay next time we have a date night in Atlanta.

Very chic and good looking. The suite doesn’t have a separating door or pull out couch. Worse thing is there are literally no drawers, no storage space. Good for a short hip stay but not long stays

Great location, hotel is clean and modern. Only issue is the room had very little storage. Only 2 drawers and the area above with some hangars. We only stayed for 2 nights so it wasn't too bad but if you're staying for longer than that you will have to use your suitcase for storage.

Plumbing was terrible and rattled all the time. Signs of flooding damage in the bathroom and only half the shower had glass, leading to water splashing everywhere outside of the shower.

This was my second stay at the Starling and loved it. My only call out is some renovation is DESPERATELY needed. A lamp was broken in the room, part of the shower bar was broken, The bathroom door didn't close flush against the wall, etc.

While the hotel lobby and common areas are flashy and modern - the rooms leave much to be desired. no amenities like toothbrushes or shower caps, bad ventilation, no vents in bathroom (causing humidity in the room after showers), no clocks, the air conditioning vent is aimed towards the bed and can't be closed, noise (heard the neighbors sneeze 10x in the middle of the night, also the loud parties and party goers).

My recent stay at The Starling was literally nothing short of exceptional! The hotel was beautiful but what *really* stood out was the staff!! Raymond (from valet) was superrr professional, warm and welcoming — and always greeted me with great energy, quality service and a smile. Venice at the front desk was soooo accommodating.. she made me feel right at home!! I’m from Detroit, so it’s rare for me to find such genuine hospitality. This is my second time staying here and I will definitely be staying here again! Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting ATL :)

This is a nice property, however none of the staff seem to understand customer service. They talk to each other and sit around making customers wait. Even asking for butter for your toast seems like a major inconvenience. The check in process seemed more like immigration into a hostile country who doesn’t want you there.

I’ve stayed here for my birthday staycation four years in a row, and sadly this year was a major disappointment. My suite had peeling paint and a dirty bathroom floor, and I had to request a microwave several times before it was delivered. When it finally arrived, the staff member who brought it made inappropriate comments about my appearance while in my room — which was very uncomfortable and unprofessional. On top of that, valet is overpriced for how long it takes, and service at the bar was extremely slow despite it not being busy. This was by far my worst experience at this property, and it left me very displeased.

The concierge staff were very friendly and super helpful at all times. Latrell at the front desk was very personable, polite, respectful and professional. The phone in our room was malfunctioning and could not get us to the front desk. We tried repeatedly from the night before and the morning of our departure and finally had to use our cell phone. The supervisor and manager both of whom we finally reached to request for a one-hour or 30 minutes late check out, were very impolite and refused our request, and did not even address the issue of the phone not working in the room. So we had to rush to leave our room by 11 a.m. on the morning of May 26. This was a big surprise to us because we’ve stayed in many hotels around the country and the world and had never had such experience. Worst experience ever!

Be careful! They are running a propery-wide "double tip" scam, where they add auto gratuity to any/every charge, but DON'T tell you about it, leading you to double tip if not aware. They'll entice you at the moment of check receipt with comments designed to make you think they hooked you up, so you'll blindly tip as if it's not already there. We first encountered this right after checking in, bags still in hand, at the bar. I wanted to see if this was a property-wide practice, and not just a rogue bartender, so I paid special attention to see if any staff, at any time, advised me of automatic gratuity. Not once, but they did consistently have a "I hooked you up" line ready at check drop. Last stay here for us, unfortunately. Doesn't feel good to be deceived.

I'm not sure what the event was or what was happening, but I had to wait until 6pm to check into my room. I was offered late check out, which was of no help since I was there on business and had to work the next morning. It's an expensive hotel, I think more could have been done. Once I was finally able to check in, I had to wait 30 minutes for an elevator to the 21st Floor. Definitely not an ideal stay....

The property is right on Colony Square, lots of eateries, and right in the middle of the Museum of Art, Museum of Design, and the Piedmont Park where the botanical garden is. These attractions are all within walking distance. The only problem is parking. To park overnight, you have to go through valet, and it is expensive.

This maybe my favorite hotel in Atlanta— Politan Row (foodhall) and JoJo’s Cocktail lounge can be accessed from the 2nd floor of the hotel so super convenient. Plus the hotel’s bar/ restaurant is a vibe as well.

Doors have major openings at the bottom that a person could hear another person's intimate time or feel the draft from the hallway. I would suggest closing those gaps off the bottom of the doors immediately..Shout out Windy and the brother with the locs at the bar, too.

Wonderful place to stay! We enjoyed all the dining and drinks available near this hotel. There is a starbucks within walking distance as well as a ton of food options too choose from. We throughly enjoyed the movie we watched at IPIC which is abiut a 5 minute walk. The only thing we didnt like was the thin walls. You could hear everthing and everyone as well as the remote to the tv didnt work well.

Had a great stay! The hotel itself was beautiful, and the on-site restaurant was a highlight—the food was absolutely amazing. The atmosphere was a whole vibe—they were playing 90s R&B, so I felt right at home! There are also plenty of other restaurants within walking distance, which made exploring the area super convenient. Needed a hotel because of an overnight layover. Wasn't expecting much, but when we got there I was very impressed. The interior design of the hotel and the room have such a classy look to it. I was just soo impressed with every little detail of the decor. Room was clean, bed was comfortable. The barista made some excellent coffees for us on the way out and the pastries we bought with them were pretty good as well.
