Purposely picked this hotel because of the pool area and hot tub. Upon arrival was told pool was closed with no notice! On a holiday weekend? This was unacceptable. I wanted to cancel immediately. Unfortunately are hotels were not up to par and we ended up staying. Completely disappointed. They actually drained the pool for some reason, I would have never stayed here if I knew ahead of time.

Great local getaway. Beautiful rooms, plenty of games to choose from. Movie theater for the teenager. Wished there was dedicated Hotel parking. Refrigerator available for a fee and Please consider putting a microwave available somewhere in the hotel for guests.

We stayed at the MGM Springfield because we were in Springfield to visit the Basketball Hall of Fame. The hotel and all the amenities were great. We went to the pool twice, both times the pool area appeared clean. The restaurants were good, but I felt like all the bars were very basic- the lobby bar cocktails were the best drink we had in the hotel. We enjoyed the Tap, the sports bar. We had a great time at the top golf, located at the MGM, however I must clarify, it’s just a stimulator not a true top golf set up. We had a great time nonetheless- the server was super friendly and made us feel comfortable. MGM and the Hall of Fame is great but the surrounding area is really run down. The streets are empty and unfortunately there’s a lot of homelessness not

beautiful property. very clean but has some odd odors throughout the building. there was no valet service working at the time we arrived( it was a Tuesday so maybe that’s why) not a very busy time but would have been appreciated since i had to walk far with my bags. also i had my daughter with me and we couldn’t use the pool at 6 pm because it was 21 and over but i didn’t see that posted anywhere so i felt bad for her since she was in her bathing suit already.

My brother and I were traveling to Maine to visit our family . We stayed at this resort on the way up and the way back since it was the half way point on our journey. We both were very impressed by how nice it was . Everything from the cleanliness to the industrial decor . Great vibes !! It was also the cleanest casino I ever visited. I will be staying there always from now on . The staff was very friendly and helpful as well. 5 stars!

Room was ok, I understand that Housekeeping is probably short staffed but long hair was found on the sink in two areas as well as 2 of the towels. I thought the rooms would be a little better sound damper, but could still hear roadside traffic on the 5th floor. Staff was friendly, but did not ask me how my stay was at the end.

Really nice property, very nice rooms and the bed is extremely comfortable, and the bathroom is really nicely upgraded. My one take away is that the rooms are not very quiet, they definitely cheapes out on the soundproofing on the walls because you can hear your neighbors.

The room was well appointed, clean, with a well thought out design. The pillows and mattress were Devine which allowed me to sleep like Rip Van Winkle. Large shower which easily accommodated two people for a warm comfortable wash. Decent food and the movie theater was a big plus for the kids. Casino 4 stars.

Worst setup in terms of furniture. Needed to have the bed on the larger wall facing the tv. Need dressers for additional clothing and larger closet as only half the closet was ok to use for hanging. Really bad use of space. The room was nice but the lighting was truly awful. The lightbulbs glared in your eyes. It needed recessed or indirect lighting. The garbage can in the room was absolutely rusted and disgusting. The furniture in the room was very u comfortable. The chairs sat too low for the table. Clearly nobody sat it them when designing this room.

Hallways were quiet, wouldn’t know there was a casino 2 floors below. But unfortunately, I could hear the people in the room next door talk and they were talking at a normal level. A bit annoying when trying to sleep. Overall nice place, I would stay again with earplugs to sleep.

I feel that the staff was not helpful for customers new to a cascino hotel. A brief explanation of the amenities the hotel and cascino had to offer would have been great but we basically checked in and were left to our own devices. It would have been great for staff to go over the dining options and to explain how the cascino operates (a brief overview of how to use the cascino) or direct us to someone within the cascino to tell us how to gamble! We spent 2 hours walking around trying to figure out how to use the slot machines before we asked a security guard who directed us to an information desk, who told us to use a kiosk..... we did all that and our gambling card still did not work. We played some blackjack, gave up trying to figure out how to use the machines and got some food at the sports bar. The food was not good but the atmosphere was lively. Parking at the hotel was hard to find. Took us at least 30 minutes driving in circles to find it. For almost 500.00 per night, totally not worth it

Pros: The hotel is beautiful. Our room was clean & comfortable. I appreciate the security of only hotel guests being able to access the upper floors. Cons: Waited 10 minutes for valet park on arrival & no one came to take our car, so we went to self-park. Next, we had to schlep our luggage across the casino because there is no parking near the lobby. We were there for an event offsite, so we went downstairs to check out the casino before we had to leave. The first slot machine took my money & immediately went off line. Not the best start. We also inquired about a spot for a nice breakfast the following morning. They recommended the grab & go at the coffee shop. No restaurant, no room service, just that or the diner in the South End Market. Returned late after our event. The hotel was so noisy. Loud tv noise coming from the next room, people stomping around above us & frat boys loud talking & running up & down the hallways. Fortunately I had my white noise & a pair of earplugs with me. Next morning, we planned to do a little gambling before we left, but had to check out by 11. Got downstairs& were immediately informed that we can’t take our bags onto the casino floor. So now we’re expected to schlep our luggage back out to our car & then come back to gamble? Sorry, no. Time to go. MGM is pretty to look at but not well thought out. They make everything too difficult. My husband is mobility impaired & dragging luggage all over impractical. Not likely to be back.

Check in was terrible. It took about 1 hour & 2 calls to my Bank to explain to MGM their system was causing my credit card to decline. The staff at check in kept switching computers & discussing with us how they’ve had to change pins & pass codes to restart their systems. Needless to say our Anniversary getaway was ruined right at check in. First time to MGM Springfield and Definitely the last!!!!

Stay was wonderful. Hotels.com did not properly pass the reservation informative to the hotel. The check-in process took more than 20 minutes. Try Red Rose restaurant for a great Italian meal!

Let's start with there is no valet parking and go down hill from there. Finding the hotel entrance to check in must be a secret because there is no signage at all. I guess everyone likes to park 4 blocks away and schlep their luggage across the entire garage and length of the casino in hopes of finding the check in desk. We left to go out for the day at 9am and put the service light on. Returned at 4pm and the room had not been cleaned. There were 5 housekeeping carts within 20 feet of our door but apparently it was more important to clean vacant rooms than occupied ones. When we went to the front desk to ask for help they were friendly but useless and we waited an hour for them to get the room cleaned. When I asked for some compensation they offered a $50 dining credit. Of course half the restaurants were closed and the ones that were open were not restaurants but self service kiosks. The room was beautiful but totally lacking in function. No drawers. No refrigerator. Pretty lights but not easily accessible switches and no hand held shower so you have to get your head soaked like it or not. The spa was closed indefinitely. We were told to seek compensation from Hotels.com because we didn't book directly with the hotel.

The problem was very poor service at check-in. Attempted to check in at 3:15 pm only to be told the room wasn't ready. Was told we would get a text when the room was ready. Text came at 5:10 pm. We had to go back to the front desk to ask about it. Staff didn't offer any compensation for the delay. When I ask about credit for the stay on their rewards program I was told not eligible because I used Expedia to book the room, very petty on top of the delay.

The front desk service is top notch and our room was thoughtfully designed and aesthetically pleasing. Traveled here for a convention and really appreciated location close to mass mutual center. Several good restaurant options right in the hotel/casino. Loved the museum complex which has fine art, science museum and a fun museum dedicated to Springfield native, Dr Seuss.

Loved that it is non smoking! Place was very nice and rooms in hotel had high quality beds and pillows. bathroom clean with nice walk in shower with rain shower head. However, I gave it four stars because the food court food was not very good, I asked if the lobster bisque was creamy thick or thin. Was told yes it creamy. However It was thin and tasteless. Lastly, I was disappointed that there is no sit down breakfast restaurant in the casino or surrounding neighborhood. I Was told closest by the hotel desk staff there was one was 10 minutes away.

Stayed here for my birthday with my husband. Room was clean but ac barely worked and it was HOT. Finally fell asleep and got a phone call to the room at 1:30am from front desk telling me someone was trying to get in contact with me. Confused as to what was going on - they called back only to tell me they were calling the wrong room. Questioned staff at checkout this am and they had no clue about any of it. The one night we wanted some piece and quiet they’re waking us up for some nonsense. :( also went to have a drink at the bar at 6 which closed at 8 and bartender tells us oh sorry you’re too late. They need me at the bar outside - confusing

Very nice! Would stay there again. Rooms were beautiful and very comfortable. Stylish decor in rooms and main areas of hotel. Staff were pleasant. Could improve on food choices though. An hour wait for chicken tenders and grilled cheese is a bit much.
