Beautiful property and amazing views. Nordic spa was awesome. We stayed in the cross water building and it was showing its age from the smell of our room to water stains in the ceiling tiles in many of the public areas and conference rooms. Only had one elevator working at the time so there was longer than normal waits. The heating system was quite old and therefore the room was extremely hot. When we tried to open the windows they too showed their age and the smell of marijuana and tobacco smoke came in even though we were on the top floor. Wall paper was coming off the walls I. Our bathroom and there was a definite mildew sewer smell in the bathroom too. Lamp shades were dirty and even water stained. Overall the room was not worth the price. Staff tried to be helpful and compel us a free breakfast but would not upgrade our room or offer any other discount or spa benefits.

The rooms are updated, however driving up I was a little sceptical, as the outside of the building needs work. The pool also needs some work, kids water play area wasn’t working, the stairs getting out of the pool near the water slides are a little sketchy and the floor is so slippery, need to rethink the fake wood look around the pool.

The ability to use the amenities at the main lodge was great. However the Crosswaters resort itself was quiet noisy very late with people running in halls and partying outside on a Thursday until 2am, the room itself was ok but found the shower very small.

I sent my wife and daughter on a weekend trip and they were highly disappointed in the lack of cleanliness of the room. They even took pictures to show the front desk. The customer service from management was also underwhelming for such a nice property. The small print in the pool and hot tubs being closed was also highly disappointing for them. They ended up spending an additional $700 to go to Nordic Spa but sat around a very beautiful setting but with one big activity that they were not able to enjoy.

This place has it all. The poméroy is where all the restaurants are but it’s a stones throw away. The room we stayed in was nice, no balcony but not a huge deal. Tons of walking trails around the area, a cafe, shopping, a pub with arcade games, and good restaurants. The drinks are crazy expensive- looking at $17CAD minimum for a cocktail. The hot tub is indoor/outdoor but there weren’t any jets that we could find. There’s a kids pool/slide area that looks awesome. I think kids of all ages would like it. Nordic spa is always a treat. Expensive but worth it. Love this area. The Kananaskis golf course has a bit more reasonable and delicious food if you want to drive up there. The views are also incredible from there as well.

I liked the activity options like campfire nights. The room was average but the shower was dirty and the power did not work on the bedside plugs. The pool was nice but the hottub was not super hot and the jets were very weak. I liked the dining options and that woodys was open late. This is a fabulous girls weekend or family getaway. The staff and food at the resort are amazing. Our room is well appointed and conveniently laid out. The bed was very comfortable and the sheets crisp and clean. Upon deeper inspection, I found the room was in need of a deeper clean though. The light fixtures were very dusty and the corners of the shower behind the glass door were definitely cruddy.

Check-in process is inconvenient and unusual, hotel does not actually have their own front desk person. Showed up to an empty desk and a sign to check-in at the partnering hotel next door. Was not clear that hotel "amenities" are of the neighboring hotel, which is close but misleading. Leading to the shared amenities being very busy and crowded. They were also not well taken care of. For the price of a Pomeroy, I would expect better grounds and maintenance. The room was dusty and not very clean. Bedding and towels are cheap. Hotel grounds are nice. Breakfast (not included) was good. Small selection for room service considering there are 3 restaurants within a few minutes walking distance. As a Clearwaters guest, it seemed liked a secondary thought and money grab of a hotel. Room price is high for value. Wouldn\'t stay again.

Crosswaters was dated but rooms were clean and nice. Lobby had a musty smell. Staff were excellent. Graham at Blacktail lounge was excellent and took great care of us. Would love to bring grandkids to enjoy water area.

I called Front desk 4 times, for them to say they will call back regarding my questions and didn't get a single call back. - room was very dusty with black and stained marks on the bed sheets. We stayed at Crosswaters for one night after enjoying the Nordic Spa & massage. That facility is lovely. Our hotel room was spacious and very clean. It is quite outdated with such a small shower. It'd be nice if they removed the large bathtub and added a walk in shower space.

All the following items would not be a big deal if it didnt cost $400/night!! Room AC was a portable unit that did not cool the room at all despite making noise all night and keeping us awake. Bathroom had 1 towel. ONE. We had to call to get more which took almost 30 mins for some reason. Check in is on a different part of the property and no one tells you until you walk in the front door with all your stuff. Hotel in general is very rundown.

Loction was very good; lots of trails and next to the Pomeroy Marriott where all dining options located. The hotel and room very outdated. You had to have the aircon on but sounded like a freight train. On top of that there was a wedding reception and spill out that carried on to about 3am in the morning. so if a good sleep is on the agenda, this was not the room or place

Over the years the property has declined in condition. We stayed in a bi-level loft which is a great room, but the AC unit was insufficient and the room was incredibly hot. Not worth the premium price anymore unfortunately.

Overall the stay was good. A couple notes for folks who will stay here that may be helpful 1) request a room on an upper floor, the rooms on the main floor mostly look on to a walkway to the main hotel 2) give the room a good once over when you arrive. We realized when it was late and we were getting ready for bed that the mattress was actually broken on one side. In the morning we were able to get a new mattress and staff was helpful about it but 1 of 2 nights was a pretty uncomfortable sleep (no compensation or dining credit was offered). Overall, the hotel is good, it’s clean and has had some updates done. The rooms are comfortable and reasonably well appointed. One other tip if you are planning to visit the spa, especially on a weekday- call and ask if there is any cleaning or maintenance happening that day. We arrived in the morning to find the cold pool would be unavailable until the afternoon (they didn’t tell us at checkin only when we went to use the cold pool did we realize it was being cleaned)- we still had a great time at the spa but the cold pool being unavailable for 3 hours was a bummer.

We had a wonderful stay at Crosswaters. While the building is a bit older, our room was renovated and had everything we needed. We were celebrating an anniversary and the staff went out of their way to make our evening special. The only negative on the rooms is the air conditioning - it’s definitely older and not super effective, but even in July it worked well enough to keep the room comfortable (just not cool). Would stay again.

What a strange experience. Crosswaters is little off-shoot of the Pomeroy next door. We had to check-in at the Pomeroy (which was very frustrating as it was not clearly marked, signed, or indicated in any hotel correspondence), the Crosswaters building is across the courtyard and it was a ghost town. There was no one else there, no staff, no other guests that we saw, it has a very strange entrance and vibe to it. You can use all the amenities at the Pomeroy (which means you have to walk outside or underground through the parking area) to get to the hot tub, pool etc. Guest services goes through the Pomeroy too. We waited 1 hour for coffee cups to be delivered to our room, as there were none in there. The room itself was spacious and simple but felt like it needed a really good deep clean. I'm not sure if I would stay here again.

Check-in process is inconvenient and unusual, hotel does not actually have their own front desk person. Showed up to an empty desk and a sign to check-in at the partnering hotel next door. Was not clear that hotel "amenities" are of the neighboring hotel, which is close but misleading. Leading to the shared amenities being very busy and crowded. They were also not well taken care of. For the price of a Pomeroy, I would expect better grounds and maintenance. The room was dusty and not very clean. Bedding and towels are cheap. Hotel grounds are nice. Breakfast (not included) was good. Small selection for room service considering there are 3 restaurants within a few minutes walking distance. As a Clearwaters guest, it seemed liked a secondary thought and money grab of a hotel. Room price is high for value. Wouldn\'t stay again.

Our fourth time at the resort. Beautiful weather, used the Nordic spa, however fully planned on utilizing room service that was supposed to be open until 10 pm. Phones were not answered, and front desk gave us no alternatives from 9:30 onwards, just continued to put us through to the dining line which rang endlessly. Because of this we all went to bed hungry. Nobody seemed to mind when we called the front desk and advised of this. Peculiar.

We had a problem involving visa applications -something that is not expected of staff, but a very helpful helped us with it and solved the problem for us. This enabled us to continue with our holiday from Australia, We can't thank her enough for the help she provided. The property was fantastic and all the other staff were also very helpful and friendly our very short experience there was exceptional

I called Front desk 4 times, for them to say they will call back regarding my questions and didn't get a single call back. - room was very dusty with black and stained marks on the bed sheets. No towels and no robes. - so much noise between 11pm and 2am both nights. - server on Friday was great. - cross waters is mot part of Marriott

It was nice that Kananaskis Village has maintained the integrity of the area. You knew that you were in the mountains with the beautiful views and still a feeling of being apart of nature.

This was a beautiful location in the mountains. The staff were friendly and very helpful. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The grounds were beautiful with a scenic view of the mountains.

Kananaskis is a beautiful location. The resort is nicely situated between the golf course and the ski hill. Proximity to Calgary makes it a very convenient getaway.

This place is good if you have kids and do not want to go see places around Banff. Or if you want to golf. Banff is 1 hour away and Lake Louise is 1 hour 45 mins away. We had to do a lot of driving everyday to go to hot springs, gondola rides, lake Louise etc. The hotel is old and TV is not a smart TV. So we couldn’t watch Netflix or Prime, etc. There wasnt much to do in the evenings. If one wants to golf there is a beautiful golf course nearby. Hot tub is good but not useful during summer. They have a good bike and canoe/kayak rental place( for nearby Barrier Reef). If one wants to see places around Banff then get something to stay in Banff or Canmore.

It’s nice and quiet, very beautiful location. Only downsides were that there weren’t more dining options after 10 pm, and that’s when people might’ve been leaving the spa! Otherwise, Woody’s pub was still a really tasty option. Blacktail is meh and expensive. The price is still a little steep, but to be able to stay close within walking distance of the spa, beggars can’t be choosers I suppose. Staff were really friendly, I appreciated that the help desk was fully staffed and always quickly helped with check in/out, didn’t have to wait in line for long ever.

Our dining experience at Forte was very good. Baily and Hannah our servers were excellent. The staff at the hotel was also lovely, however the room was in pretty rough condition.

This place has it all. The poméroy is where all the restaurants are but it’s a stones throw away. The room we stayed in was nice, no balcony but not a huge deal. Tons of walking trails around the area, a cafe, shopping, a pub with arcade games, and good restaurants. The drinks are crazy expensive- looking at $17CAD minimum for a cocktail. The hot tub is indoor/outdoor but there weren’t any jets that we could find. There’s a kids pool/slide area that looks awesome. I think kids of all ages would like it. Nordic spa is always a treat. Expensive but worth it. Love this area. The Kananaskis golf course has a bit more reasonable and delicious food if you want to drive up there. The views are also incredible from there as well.

This was our first time as a family at the resort. This is not a 4 star hotel. The property grounds are beautiful, as is the setting. However, the reaort only has two restaurants on site and one of the two closes on Sundays. There are no other fine dining options available in the area, the nearest is likely Canmore 45 min away. We had to order in or eat at the bar all weekend because there was no space available at the restaurant. Breakfast buffet on Saturday had many tables open yet wait was about 1 hour to get a table. The property is run down. Paint peeling off buildings, mold in bathrooms, locks to public washrooms that do not close. One women’s washroom even lacked garbage bins for women’s hygienic products in all its stalls. Very overpriced property for anything beyond an overnight stay. Seems to me the resort is getting 4 star ratings solely on the presence of the Nordic spa (which is accessible only with an additional fee) rather than the hotel itself, service, or facilities.

Stayed here with our family at the start of the May long weekend and have nothing but good things to say about our stay! Great and spacious room (although the provided shampoo, soap and conditioner could be improved to Rocky Mountain since their pool has it in their showers!) and the dining at Forte was top notch. Big portions, worth the bang for our buck and kids under 6 eat free as well. The service of staff was exceptional. We will be returning more often!
