The location for this hotel was great and it has valet with it's other hotel the Dorian which is attached. There wasn't self parking. The interior of the room was wonderful and stylish.

Our room was clean, modern, and well appointed. The gym was great, and it was very handy to have the little concession shop by front desk. House keeping is every other day and the rooms are light on the amenities, but if you request more lotion or coffee from front desk they send it up to your room.

Overall very nice property. The parking for the whole weekend was only 15 dollars which I didn’t think was bad for downtown Calgary. Close to everything we needed. I wish they had a pool though.

Positives …. Location = great; Room Size & Furnishings = great; The “Crate” fantastic for cheap room supplies. Negative unfortunately for us was the internet in our room 818 over 15/5 & 16/5 was extremely disappointing. We had maintenance called twice to the room over the two days and basically the router was faulty and needed to be reset which worked until we were disconnected when we left the room for touring. Then needed to get a reset again …. Not what I would expect from a Marriot and being from Australia disappointed I needed to use my phone data in the room. Maintenance indicated that the router was cactus but no replacement installed. Issue was also raised with the front desk which was surprised how our sign in was happening in the lobby.

Overall, everything was excellent except for 2 things. There is no microwave in the room, which would be handy for reheating leftovers. The second thing is the drapes didn’t move smoothly. I probably could’ve brought it their attention and changed rooms, but I really didn’t feel like packing up and moving. It’s clear it’s a known problem, because the wand to pull the drapes was repaired with zip ties. If they just made the drapes move smoothly, the wand wouldn’t have broke in the first place. Overall, an excellent choice with lots to walk to downtown.

Didn’t hear anyone else around us the entire week. Staff was lovely, everyone was very friendly and helpful. The TV app was easy to use. Bed was soft and comfortable, the view of downtown was very nice. My only note would be to look at fixing the water pressure in the shower, it was very low.

I Felt unsafe at this location. My friend and I were verbally harassed outside the elevator in the hotel we are not sure if it was another guest. He was following us around saying slurs and trying to instigate a fight. Property manager failed to follow up and check with us after the events that followed. But I did see the same person being placed in the back of a police van. Which leads me to wonder why we were never asked what happened at all. This happened on October 26 at around 5:45pm.

I recently stayed at your hotel for two nights and overall had a pleasant experience—until checkout, when I attempted to extend my stay. Unfortunately, the staff member assisting me repeatedly stated that the system was down and was unable to offer any help or alternative suggestions. While I understand that technical issues can happen, I was disappointed by the lack of initiative to find a workaround or provide guidance. This created unnecessary stress and inconvenience, especially after what had otherwise been a comfortable stay. I hope you’ll consider offering staff more support or training in handling such situations, so future guests can feel cared for even when systems aren’t cooperating.

They told me when I checked in that valet parking was $35 for the weekend. They charged me $35 per night and told me there was nothing they could do about it. And to add on to that, it took them 45 minutes to bring our car up in the morning. Room was very nice and clean though.

From the welcoming front desk staff to the spotless, quiet room not to mention an excellently kitted out gym, the Courtyard by Marriott is an excellent property. Huge shout out to the very kind and friendly cleaning staff. I know Calgary well; I chose this newer hotel for proximity to the train, river, TD Square/The Core, restaurants, and business district. Levant Cafe around the corner on 6th Ave is terrific for your morning Americano.

We arrived super early after a cancelled flight while en route to another destination. The staff managed to prioritize an early check-in for us. We were extremely appreciative as we had been traveling all night. We have stayed here before and find the staff consistently polite, helpful and willing to go above and beyond whenever possible. When leaving, we wanted to take the bus back to the airport and asked the valet attendant on our way out if she knew where to catch the bus. She actually walked us to the corner and showed us exactly where to go so that we could wait inside a warm spot until the bus arrived. Outstanding staff make this a place worth booking!

This was a nice property and centrally located. Spacious rooms. We took breakfast option and the menu had wonderful selections. The location was great for walking to Holt Renfrew or Bankers Square, even easy walk down to 10th Ave (Craft) and other places of interest. Lots of restaurants including Le Petite Chef right in the hotel, which is a neat dining experience.

Everything was fine, except the dining options were not good and very confusing. No on- site full service restaurant. The staff were all nice. We really thought the room was set up very well and very traveler friendly except for no printed hotel guide. That would have been very, very helpful.

Nice location downtown, well trained, attentive staff, Good valet service and the latte/coffee shop also excellent. Wilde on 27 was excellent for dining, quality of food super, staff excellent. The offer for guests was also exceptional so make sure to ask for the promotion when checking in. Will certainly stay again.
