What guests think

At Hotel 11, MOD A Sonesta Collection, travellers highlight very clean, comfortable rooms and welcoming staff, a handy airport location with a free shuttle, and useful extras like a pool, hot tub, gym, steam showers, water stations, and robes.

Many appreciate prompt shuttle drivers, though several note it runs on a set hourly schedule and can fill up, leading to waits. Food at the on-site restaurant and lounge is widely liked, but service can be slow and prices higher than expected, and breakfast is often not included. While most rooms are quiet and modern, some guests report noise from doors or nearby areas, occasional TV or AC issues, and rare cleanliness lapses. Located in an airport/industrial area with few walkable options, it suits short, convenient stopovers. A practical choice for short stays near YYC with helpful staff and solid amenities.

Shuttle service pick up was very slow. I called, they said he will be there in 15 min at post 37. 45 min later I called and they said “sorry he just left so will be 10-15 more min. Every other hotel had made 3 rounds by the time our one. One hour standing in the cold when we should have just caught an uber. Also, shuttle should be offered every 30 min not hour like other hotels by airport. The room was great except for warmth. Blasting AC and we were not able to adjust.

Looks a lot better and nicer in the pictures. Needs upgrading. I was disappointed. I definitely didn’t love the hotel. Could have been better! They say 3-star I think only because they offer robes. Other then that it it NOT a 3-Star hotel. Doesn’t deserve the rating. The hotel offers 2 free beverages per stay. What a joke! We received 2 kid sized plastic cups of cheap carton juice. Nothing like false advertising! Room Rugs need deep cleaning. Yuck.

This place is fine for an airport hotel but it is billed w soundproof rooms and we did not find that to be true. They gave us a room right next to the elevator and it was loud. I slept so badly, it was a bummer. No one should have to deal w the elevator lobby when they are trying to sleep before a day of travel. Lame.

Nice hotel. However if you forget anything in your room, do not expect to get it back. I had brand new hair care products that I accidentally left in the shower, and after my 5am checkout while in the airport I realized it. Called the hotel and since it was so early the housekeeping staff hadn’t started yet, so I was told they would advise housekeeping to bring them to the front desk where I could collect them on my way back through the city in a few days. On my return to Hotel 11, I was told nothing was found in my room. Staff needs to be trained that honest behaviour is a pinnacle of stellar customer service. Good thing wasn’t super valuable. Won’t return due to poor staff ethics.

They gave such a hassel at check in. They were clueless and it took a very long time. They told us over the phone that a free shuttle was available whenever needed that is the only reason we booked this hotel. Once checked in we tried to book the morning shuttle back to airport ans they said they are full. No more available. And nothing they can do. They offered a shittle 1 5 hrs too early before the Canadian north terminal evrn opens so we have to wait in the cold for 1.5hrs or a shittle too late that we would miss the flight. This was their only options. This is unacceptable! Front desk staff was rude and not well informed. They also.lied.

This was an ideal travel hotel for us. The price is right. It had a pool, fitness facility, in house restaurant, shuttle to the airport, free parking. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. It was quiet even thought it was next to the airport and very busy on the days we stayed. Staff were friendly and knowledgeable, It was next to the airport and the Highway 2 (Deerfoot), which made early morning departures and late night arrivals very comfortable while providing easy access to many parts of the city including downtown. Down side - unless you are just flying in and out you do need a car. We have stayed here before and would continue to do so when we are doing short trips to Calgary.

This hotel is a great, comfortable and convenient stay before a flight. Good, quiet and safe location and really close to the airport for a quick trip in the early hours. The staff were friendly and efficient, 24 hour desk and all the amenities you could want. The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because they charged us $4 for wooden cutlery when the food we ordered for dinner (after their restaurant had closed) didn’t come with any. I thought that was unnecessarily cheap of them to charge for something so basic, when they provided all sorts of extra amenities in the room for free.
