What guests think

At EVEN Hotel Atlanta - Cobb Galleria by IHG, guests praise very clean, modern rooms, comfortable beds, and friendly staff, plus the strong fitness focus with in-room gear and a good gym, but repeatedly note the off-site, paid parking as inconvenient.

The location works well for Truist Park, The Battery, and Cobb Galleria/Cobb Energy Center, with many choosing short rideshares while some find the walk longer or less comfortable at night. On-site dining is limited and mostly paid, and made-to-order breakfast and coffee service receive mixed feedback for speed and value, with bar hours or licensing sometimes restricted. Overall, it suits event-goers and business travelers who want a modern, fitness-focused base.

Staying at the EVEN Hotel was a frustrating experience from the start. All of the front parking spots are reserved for handicap permits, which leaves regular guests having to hike over 100 yards from a detached parking deck just to reach the building. Not exactly the welcome you want after a long trip. To make matters worse, their EV charging setup is a joke. They have chargers, but you’re only allowed to leave your car plugged in for 4 hours even though the chargers are painfully slow and take nearly 12 hours to give a full charge. So unless you plan on setting alarms in the middle of the night to move your car back and forth, you’re out of luck. The hotel seems more focused on looking “modern” than actually providing a convenient, comfortable stay. I won’t be returning.

The hotel was supposed to have a restaurant and bar. It had a small area to order at the counter and get your food. No bar, they no longer have a liquor license. In our room, there was one chair in a massive space. A random bench with a wall as a back was another option, just not very "homey." Missing some of the yoga equipment in the room. Rooms were very clean and the bed was comfortable. Parking was in a bank's parking garage behind the hotel, only on the top two floors. Just overall not as advertised. And for well over $200/night, they should do better.

Hotel was clean and modern. Queen beds were small and probably doubles. The breakfast is a joke. We waited over an hour both mornings for our meal. Kitchen had one cook and one server to custom make meals for the entire hotel. Parking is also not convenient as you must drive up 5 levels of an empty garage to reach the designated area for the hotel. They also charge you $12/day. Would not recommend walking to Truist Park unless you are in decent shape and armed at night. Would recommend a buffet breakfast and a shuttle to area attractions.

TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE! THIS HOTEL IS NOT CLEAN, NEEDS UPGRADES AND RENOVATIONS! THE RESTROOMS ARE FILTHY. HOUSEKEEPING IS RIDICULOUS! I WAS IN A WORK MEETING AND HAD A LATE CHECKOUT AND THEY BARGED IN THE ROOM TWICE WITHOUT ANNOUNCING THEMSELVES! I EVEN FOUND DRIED UP VOMIT ON THE SIDE OF ONE OF THE BEDS! THERE WAS RUST IN VARIOUS PLACES IN THE SHOWER AND ON THE TOILET, THERE WAS HAIR CAUGHT IN THE TOWELS, THE SHOWER GEL AND SHAMPOO THEY PROVIDE ARE IN NASTY, RUSTY BOTTLES THAT LOOK TO BE 3 OR 5 YEARS OLD. THERE WAS A DRIED UP FOOD STAIN ON THE NIGHTSTAND THAT MADE ME FEEL UNCOMFORTABLE TO EVEN LAY MY PHONE DOWN! IF YOU ARE A PERSON THAT VALUES CLEANLINESS I WOULD NOT STAY HERE.

Our time here was nice besides the cleaning aspect of it. The parking deck is a bit away from the hotel and you will have to park on the top 2 levels only take an elevator down. Then walk about a good 4 mins to the hotel. No cover rain or shine. So, I would honestly think about that before booking here. We usually dropped off all our stuff at the hotel then went to park to prevent us from carrying things. Other than that nice hotel, quiet and close by the Cumberland mall. Was close to a lot of restaurants near by, going to be honest. The breakfast wasn’t good at all. Boyfriend got waffles and bacon, I got the omelet and sausage. The food was cold for something that was freshly made to order. Also please note the prices for this was pretty high to so to receive such a small potion and it be cold was a disappointment. Our hotel room was half cleaned each time also. You could see hand/finger prints on things. Hair and crumbs were still on items. And was barely sweeped. I dropped a eyeshadow and tried to clean it up the best I could. When coming back saw they had just sweep it in the corner of the room. Also the shower handle came off while trying to turn on the shower. Informed the front desk nobody ever came to fix it so we put it back on. Other than that bed was comfortable the bathroom was nice and room overall was good. We would stay here again but really we would have to be sure the room is clean. And the walk from the parking lot we would have to decide on also.

We could not check in on time and all they could say is that they were sold out the night before and the cleaning staff was still working on getting rooms ready. Waited and waited and waited. They would not give a timeframe for when the room would be ready and we were only told to wait in the lobby and continuously check back with them. No fault of the front desk staff they were very friendly and did all they could, but there was no organization and told everyone there to just keep checking back, which ended up leaving dozens of people constantly checking with the front desk and luck of the draw if there was a room ready when you happened to check back in. Overall extremely frustrating.

Check in states it’s at 3. We arrived at 2:45. Our room wasn’t ready. At 4:15, we will didn’t have a room while some people were getting rooms. They said that they were full the night before and the cleaning crew was behind. Which I get, but if you can’t handle the volume, don’t book that many people We had somewhere to be that we needed to get showers for, and a nice lady that had 2 rooms let us take one of hers so that we could get ready. We were still late but I’d bet if she hadn’t given us her room, it’d been after 5 before we had a room

I have stayed at Even Hotels in the past and enjoyed them very much. Not this time. The parking is ridiculously far from the hotel, checking in was a problem (no one was at the desk, I waited a long time, and then the person who finally came was incompetent), except for the nice gentleman who checked me out (10/21) the front desk staff was unhelpful and generally bordered on rude. The staffing at the "dining bar" was low, the ones who were working were slow and inefficient, and in a four day stay it would have been nice to have eaten at the hotel at least a few times. We opted for going out because of the poor service. One morning the line for ordering was such that we bypassed it altogether, drove 2.7 miles to a coffee shop, brought coffee and breakfast back to the hotel and people we recognized were STILL in line waiting. Unacceptable. This brand of the IHG lineup has lots of good features and I'm sure I'll try them again, but I'll look for something different on my next visit to the North Atlanta area. Disappointed.

Stayed in this hotel for a couple of Braves games in April. It was really a nice place- clean, quiet and a nice exercise room. If you are planning to walk to the Braves game, I wouldn't say that the stadium is in walking distance. It is over a mile and there are not a lot of other people walking in this area. We did walk, but we did not have children with us and we walk a lot at home so it wasn't a big deal for us to go that far. In the summer, I don't think we would walk, but it would be a short ride share trip.
