While the people were very nice, the property is in dire need of renovation. The carpeting was worn in my room and the lighting is old. The pool room hot tub is cemented over, and the pool itself looks cloudy (perhaps a filter issue).

It was okay. Only one of two elevators were working and they needed a fan inside them. Very hot! The one working elevator would make a frightening noise and shake when coming to a stop. The elliptical exercise machine in the fitness room was extremely noisy.

It was great to have a bedroom suite as it made bedtime easier with kids and gave the adults a place to socialize. We appreciated having the pool as the kids were excited to go swimming, although we were told it was a heated pool, but the water was quite cold, so they couldn't stay in it for long. The rooms are comfortable and adequate - nothing special and a bit tired looking. But our needs were met and the area very convenient.

Really what was bad about the hotel was the pool, the water was definitely not clear and the tile around the top of the pool was gross, it really needs to be cleaned. Staff was super nice and helpful, but please clean your pool.

When we returned to our room for our last night, the room had not been cleaned. Beds were not made, and no clean towels left. Trash cans had been emptied, but don’t know if the rest of the cleaning was completed. We’re not particularly nest freaks, but we do make our bed every day!

Terrible Experience – Unhygienic Room & Rude Staff I had a very disappointing stay at Staybridge Suites Buffalo-Amherst. The room was in unacceptable condition, with visible rust and dirt inside the refrigerator, a stained and unclean toilet, a greasy stovetop, a damaged refrigerator vent, and a filthy garbage disposal unit. I have attached pictures to prove this. When I raised these concerns at the front desk, the staff member (possibly named Kathy or Kelly) was extremely rude and dismissive. She said things like “I don’t build hotel walls, I can’t do anything,” showing no willingness to help or even acknowledge the poor state of the room. I booked this stay through Expedia, trusting the quality assurance usually associated with their platform, but this experience fell far below expectations. It’s unacceptable to provide rooms that are clearly not sanitary or fit for occupancy. I do not recommend this hotel. Poor hygiene, worse customer service, and a management team that clearly doesn’t care about guest experience.

I’d be skeptical of the high rating. The place was average at best - not awful, though. It was clean and well located, but the room we were in was really noisy (despite being told 'all the rooms are quiet‘, the breakfast was not inspiring, the pull out mattress was well past its due date, the kitchen also had a less than premium feel. But it was the noise that really irritated us. The pool was average, like the whole experience.

I ended up having a nice stay at this property but don’t think I would choose this location again. Upon check in the staff were friendly. I was told at check in that breakfast was from 7-10, however, this was only true for one of the two mornings I was staying and because we ended up missing breakfast the second day as it ended earlier given it was a Monday. If I had been told this I would have gone down earlier. The room had everything we could need. I was disappointed with the overall cleanliness of the room. At first inspection I could see many things that weren’t up to my standard including dust crumbs collecting in the corners of the room, the walls in many areas were filthy and need to be washed, a hand towel hanging with an evident makeup stain. It just had an overall feeling of needing a good deep clean.
