Lovely hotel with a beautiful outlook over the river Kwai. Super friendly staff and a really pleasant comfortable room. Location was perfect, near to the famous bridge and an easy walk into town but far enough out to feel tranquil and peaceful. So why not a 5/5 and a 4.5? Two things. Firstly, it felt like they didn’t have enough staff on in the restaurant and the outside bar was always closed. When it hit happy hour you had to go searching for staff in the restaurant to get a drink. We ate in the restaurant 3 times. Twice it was very good, once was very poor and again came down to too few staff to cope with demand. Secondly, the pool is just way too small for the amount of people wanting to use it. It’s always rammed and very noisy especially in the late afternoon. We ended up only using it once which was a real shame. So much to love here but it’s not quite a 5/5.

Stayed 4 nights

Beautiful, Quiet Riverside Stay — Highly Recommended! The hotel arranged transport from Bangkok to Uinchantree for our 4 night stay in April. The hotel is situated in a very beautiful, quiet location on a bend in the river, just a short walk from the bridge. Our room was lovely, spotlessly clean, and featured both a bath and a comfortable lounge area. The hotel grounds are very pretty, centered around a beautiful Inchan tree, and there is a small pool with great river views (which was surprisingly busy!). Because the main restaurant was undergoing renovations, they had moved operations to a small area opposite with outdoor seating. This actually worked really well, as it still offered lovely views of the river. While there was some expected noise from the building works, we were out most days, so it didn’t affect our stay at all. We ate at the hotel for two evenings, and the food was exceptionally good. I also highly recommend booking the traditional Thai massage directly through the hotel. The staff were incredibly helpful and friendly throughout our visit. Additionally, the hotel is perfectly situated for a trip on the Death Railway and a visit to the "hands-off" Somboon Elephant Foundation near the Erawan area. We thoroughly recommend this hotel and would definitely stay again.
