The airport transfers is very helpful. All the staff were friendly and attentive. The resort and room were lovely. The pool had plenty of loungers and wasn’t too busy, plus the beachfront is right there with perfect views of the sunset. The only flaw on our stay was the breakfast buffet was quite basic, compared to other hotel stays around my Thailand trip.

We had an amazing time - overall excellent experience. We came to Layana Resort to relax and relax we did. The hotel staff was really friendly and attentious, the grounds were beautiful, the vibe was quiet and relaxed. The spa was a real treat and we enjoyed the time we spent there getting massages and mani/pedicures. The restaurant was great (especially the Thai dishes and special menus) and we had all our meals there for most of our stay. Eating by the sea never gets old :) Sunsets were beautiful, and while the sea was not safe for swimming for half of our time there (very strong tides), the pool by the beach more than made up for it.

Layana Resort is wonderful! The staff was so accommodating, friendly, and gracious. The room was large with a lovely covered balcony. The beach was beautiful and the water was so clear and warm. We used the resort shuttle to and from the airport, which was super convenient and a pleasant journey. I highly recommend Layana. It is the nicest resort on Koh Lanta.

Pros: The Layana is a stunning resort set within paradise. The staff are fantastic and cannot do enough for you, even down to laying the towels on the sunbeds for you. The rooms are comfortable and good sized. The grounds are beautiful, both pools are fantastic and the breakfast is ample and tasty. Everything you would expect from a 5-star resort. The free transfer to/from Krabi airport also an added bonus. Cons: When planning flights note the free transfer only runs at certain times. Our inbound flight landed after the free transfer so we had to pay roughly £40 per person. Our outbound flight meant that to get there in time we had to go much earlier and spent 3 hours waiting in the airport before we could even check in. It's not a huge problem but worth taking this into account when planning. As with any 5-star resort you expect paid services to be more expensive however we found at Layana they were on the much higher end of this. e.g. the cheapest excursion was roughly £50 per person through the layana, the same excursion from a tour operator just outside the resort was £20. On friday they offered 40% discount on the spa treatments, but even after this they were still 200% more expensive then outside of the resort. Food was also incredibly expensive compared to local restaurants just outside. I would def stay there again, but not eat/drink there opting for the variety of cheaper and tasty local restaurants just a short walk away.

Layana Resorts is one of the best adults only resort we have been to. One will feel that attention to detail the minute you arrive at the property. Frank is the GM of Layana. He is one of the kindest and respectful. The hotel staff were the same. Everyone took great care of us. Frankly speaking we did not feel like getting out of this resort given this one has all the bells and whistles. We enjoyed the morning brunch and evening dinners. We took advantage of discounted spa for guests. All in all the property is on the beach. Well equipped gym. A great restaurant and couple of pools. Cannot wait to get back to Layana again.

Unfortunately if you go for a beach walk, lots of garbage that is not cleaned up by surrounding resorts or businesses. Breakfast is varied and delicious, specially fresh mangoes and tropical fruits. Lots of options for all tastes. They offer diverse activities, some free, some with extra charge, but everything very well organized and every detail taken care of. Rooms are spacious and comfortable, and they provide good quality drinking water everywhere in the hotel.for free. Spacious and well equipped gym. But the best part of our stay was the staff. From the hotel manager, Franck, to all the restaurant staff (Kung, Tim, Khong, Sirinah) and the lady who.made our room spotless every day, and the gentlemen who served us water at the beach and pool every 30 minutes (or less), everyone smiling and so incredibly nice and friendly. Would definitely return and recommend for peaceful and relaxing beach stay in Thailand.

My daughter and I stayed for 5 nights. This is a beautiful property with staff who were always friendly and helpful. The beach was clean and swimmable, and the swimming pools were just the right temperature. Breakfast each morning was a delight. We’re vegetarians and loved the fresh mango, assorted breads and cheeses, sliced vegetables, fresh juices and cappuccinos. We took a snorkeling trip with the hotel and highly recommend it. They take you to the best spots, and our boat was limited to 10 guests. It’s a little pricier than doing it with an other company, but definitely a better value in the end for what you get. We hope to return to Layana some day.

This is beautiful resort with great service. My only complaint I thought I would have ocean view. And due to weather and rain the sea was too rough to swim. Wonderful spacious room with incredible bathroom! The staff was wonderful. I found room service and restaurant prices higher than the norm plus they add 10% service charge. Very nice hotel with an excellent staff. The food was very good and the new French manager was very present but not invasive. Clientele mainly composed of German people of a certain age used to meet in this hotel among themselves. The rooms also need a refreshment.

Our stay at Layana was the highlight of our trip to Thailand. This was a family holiday for us with our adult daughters and it did not disappoint. The staff are incredible with lots of lovely little touches during our stay to make you feel special and well taken care of. We did the snorkel trip which took me well out of my comfort zone as I am not great on water but the team took such great care of us. If you are not sure about the trip don't hesitate... the Island picnic is outstanding and the snorkelling is next level with so much variety. We felt sad to leave this little spot of paradise.

Die Anlage ist sehr schön am Meer gelegen, das Personal war immer freundlich. Das Essen war sehr gut. Nach einem Problem mit dem Strom in unserem Zimmer wurde sich sofort sehr freundlich darum gekümmert und wir konnten für die letzte Nacht in eine Villa ziehen. If you need that weekend gateway to do absolutely nothing, to meditate and connect with yourself, then this resort is perfect for you, and ticks all the boxes, Highly recommend. If you want to be out and about, visiting attractions nearby, koh lanta in general is not the place to be. Its a very quiet town.

We spent 3 days at Layana and loved every minute. The room was great, clean and spacious. The pool area is great and very close to the beach which we loved. It was easy to go between pool and beach and there were enough beach chairs which is a huge plus. Breakfast buffet has everything you could wish for and lovely view next to the beach. We also had dinner twice at the restaurant and loved the food and the possibility to sit next to the beach and enjoy the sunset. The location of the hotel is great and Long Beach is just beautiful. Great for morning or evening walks. Hotel staff was very friendly.

Excellent staff who really want to ensure you have a great visit. Well managed excursions "off" property including boat ride to snorkel at 3 locations. Beautiful location for dinners on the beach. Very relaxed atmosphere. Would definitely stay here again.
