Gute Lage mit schönem Strand und sehr schöner Gartenanlage. Sehr freundliches Personal, gute Küche. Das Hotel ist nicht mehr ganz neu, aber bemüht, den Standard zu halten. Der Stil ist thailändisch-international, die Gäste international. Aktuell ist die Belegung bei etwa 30 %, was für die Gäste eher wohltuend ist, jedoch damit einhergeht, dass einige der im Hotel enthaltenen Restaurants aktuell geschlossen sind. Die dort üblicher-weise angebotenen Mahlzeiten sind aber in den beiden geöffneten Restaurants erhältlich. Außerdem sind in der Umgebung viele Restaurants vorhanden (5 Min mit Taxi, 10-15 min zu Fuß). Die Corona- Regeln werden vom Personal zuverlässig umgesetzt. Mehr oder weniger alle Angestellten sind vollständig geimpft. Das Hotel ist rundherum zu empfehlen.

Ok. Lower end of the five star resorts in Phuket. Great service from the staff. Beach area is nice. Facilities are old but maintained reasonably well. Quite some construction work ongoing.

Probably the best and most reasonable overall hotel on beautiful Bang Tao beach. Sprawling building in a park-like setting. Most rooms shady with a distant view of the water (ocean or laguna). Nice swimming pool and four restaurants to choose from. Never a shortage of beach loungers. Friendly staff at all levels. Special thanks to Ms. Waraporn at Laguna Cafe for being attentive, friendly and professional in meeting all our daily needs there. The property is somewhat isolated and a trip to stores and restaurants in the nearby community requires a taxi or a hotel-provided shuttle plus a healthy walk.

The hotel has a great location, pool area and beach. However, the morning buffet breakfast, Included in room rate, does not meet up to other 5 star hotels where I have stayed. Also, I believe the hotel is about 20 years old and is showing its age. Some of the landscaping needs work, the walls on the many walkways need to be maintained and small things in the rooms. In my room the bathroom sink faucet would rotate a bit when turning it on or off and the bathroom exhaust did not work. Mainly just a lot of small things that detract from a 5 star rating. Therefore I have to give the hotel 4 stars for now, but it could become a 5 star hotel again.

Sprawling old-style, grand hotel located roughly in the middle of beautiful Bang Tao beach. Surrounded by numerous palm and Casuarina trees hotel provides lots of shaded areas for loungers both around the pool and near the beach. Nice Thai-inspired design , clean, comfortable rooms, several good restaurants. Wonderful staff at all levels. Because of numerous trees rooms are a bit dark, but this may be a plus during hot, sunny days. Hotel is very busy with young, European families with small children. While they are generally well behaved, this is not a perfect place for older clientele seeking peace, personal space and silence.

I recently had the opportunity to stay at a hotel, and unfortunately, my experience was far from satisfactory due to the dampness and unpleasant odor in the room. After I woke up, the dampness seemed to linger in the air and on the floor. The walls and furniture felt moist to the touch. The bedding and linens also seemed affected by the humidity, as they felt damp and clammy. This excessive moisture not only affected the room's ambiance but also posed potential health concerns. Moreover, there was the persistent bad smell that permeated the room. That morning, I notified the hotel staff about the problems I encountered. The hotel check-in was done, so elegantly and graceful. The rooms were spotless and the service everywhere we went in the hotel was impeccable.. also all the food in all the restaurants were definitely 5 stars !!! So friendly The beach was amazing and the staff serving food and attending the chairs service at the beach were on their A game big time. Bravo 👏 I’ll be back from Canada 🇨🇦 soon

This hotel is definitely not 5 star! Run down, cockroaches in the lobby and in the bedroom. Breakfast was terrible, had rancid butter, decided not to eat there the next 2 mornings although included. Went to eat at the restaurant on the first night but changed our minds when we were ignored and saw the bugs. We asked to check out early, but because we booked non refundable they said nothing could be done. The view to the beach is obscured by hawker stands and a large branch fell off the tree and nearly hit us Our son who lives in Thailand was shocked how bad it was , especially when he found out what we paid. At checkout no one even asked if we had enjoyed our stay, not the usual Thai hospitality

After a somewhat less positive experience about 5 years ago, we were tempted to try this hotel/resort once more. We were not disappointed. The hotel is situated on a beautiful beach, the staff organizes a luxury beach chair for the guests to enjoy the scenery. Restaurant facilities close by, and some small beach stalls provide fresh fruit and drinks at very reasonable fees. The hotel and premises are quiet, less so for the environment and the nearby village. In this village a real “explosion” of tourist dependent facilities has been realized over the past years, including really fine dining options. The village and the whole breach and lake fronts have become developed into hotels and condominiums. This however has not disturbed the Dusit charm and tranquil fortunately. The staff of Dusit are helpful, and in general very friendly. Only at the breakfast (maybe because of the time pressure?) the staff comes across as somewhat indifferent. A recommendation made 5 years ago still stands, the hotel here and there needs some improvements, and repairs. As an example, the power wall sockets were worn out and wouldn’t lock the adaptors for charging phone etc. However, after reporting this to the staff, within the hour these were replaced and functioning as new.

The standout feature is the amazing staff, who are always helpful, smiling, and attentive, greatly enhancing the overall experience. The Club Rooms are nice, comfortable, and well-serviced, though they need some renovation soon. However, the absence of a coffee machine in the Club Rooms seems strange by today's standards, especially with only instant coffee and a thermos(!) provided. (Comical update: After this review was published, and just two days before our departure, the coffee machine was finally delivered to our room—but without a single coffee pod, either paid or complimentary.) The Club benefits are significantly below standard compared to other clubs I've experienced, and the breakfast, while nice, is limited. The Club lounge has no air-conditioned space, making it questionable to enjoy drinking alcohol in tropical 35°C temperatures. The atmosphere in the hotel was very relaxing. We spent a morning in the pool and the beach. The location of the hotel is very good. It is located next to the Bang Tao Beach and also close to the nearby Canal Village Shopping Centre. You could take free shuttle boat rides in the lake area there. It would only take 10 minutes to get to another shopping centre by taxi. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We were confirmed to have a late checkout at 15:00 upon our request during our checking.

Behavior of the Front Desk staff. We were there on a special occasion. A request for a free drop to Airport was denied as well as the discount they offered was not honored at the Spa stating it’s not part of the hotel - the one inside the hotel. Language was another huge barrier.

I usually don't give reviews, however this warrents one....this was, by far, the very best hotel experience I've had in years....from the moment of arrival, until my departure, the customer service has been EXCEPTIONAL...the staff goes above and beyond to ensure your every need is met. The hotel check-in was done, so elegantly and graceful. The rooms were spotless and the service everywhere we went in the hotel was impeccable.. also all the food in all the restaurants were definitely 5 stars !!! So friendly The beach was amazing and the staff serving food and attending the chairs service at the beach were on their A game big time. Bravo 👏 I’ll be back from Canada 🇨🇦 soon

Nice swimming pool and four restaurants to choose from. Never a shortage of beach loungers. Friendly staff at all levels. Special thanks to Ms. Waraporn at Laguna Cafe for being attentive, friendly and professional in meeting all our daily needs there. The property is somewhat isolated and a trip to stores and restaurants in the nearby community requires a taxi or a hotel-provided shuttle plus a healthy walk.

Dusit Thani is definitely above the market standards for Phuket, yet quite reasonably priced (we came off season). Our net-based hotel booking service made a significant error but, despite understandably sticking to its advertised no-refund policy, the hotel came up with a solution that was very acceptable to us and gave us a better holiday than we could have hoped for. The included breakfast was world class and exceptional variety. It is the staff that make or break a resort, and the staff here are well selected and well trained. The resort opens into a 6km beach, with other resorts in both directions. But ours was cleanest, no rubbish in the sand even after a storm. Dusit Thani is some distance from the major tourist attractions, but that makes the area safer to walk. And taxis are a small cost to pay for staying in a quiet safe area. Highly recommended.

Surrounded by numerous palm and Casuarina trees hotel provides lots of shaded areas for loungers both around the pool and near the beach. Nice Thai-inspired design , clean, comfortable rooms, several good restaurants. Wonderful staff at all levels. Because of numerous trees rooms are a bit dark, but this may be a plus during hot, sunny days. Hotel is very busy with young, European families with small children. While they are generally well behaved, this is not a perfect place for older clientele seeking peace, personal space and silence.

This hotel is definitely not 5 star! Run down, cockroaches in the lobby and in the bedroom. Breakfast was terrible, had rancid butter, decided not to eat there the next 2 mornings although included. Went to eat at the restaurant on the first night but changed our minds when we were ignored and saw the bugs. We asked to check out early, but because we booked non refundable they said nothing could be done. This hotel is definitely not 5 star! Run down, cockroaches in the lobby and in the bedroom. Breakfast was terrible, had rancid butter, decided not to eat there the next 2 mornings although included. Went to eat at the restaurant on the first night but changed our minds when we were ignored and saw the bugs. We asked to check out early, but because we booked non refundable they said nothing could be done.
