Staff were wonderful and helpful. However, the building is dated and is in desperate need of renovation/updating. There was an unidentified smell in the hallways and the room itself. The bathroom had a smell of old wet towels left unattended for too long. (Actual towels were fresh and did not have that smell, but were extremely worn and frayed.)

Staff was incredibly nice, however the hotel was extremely dirty. First of all, the linen on the bed was too small and had stains all over it. My husband and I didn’t even go under the covers to be safe… Second, the robes were also old and stained all over. Some looked like blood stains… The towels also had stains, good thing we brought our personal towels. All the linen had such a weird smell, like they weren’t getting washed properly. The shower head was extremely dirty and I had to wipe it before using it, the shower curtain was ‘old’ and had clear bandaids covering any holes… the jets in the tub were extremely dirty also. There was still brown/white hair stuck to the walls of the shower also.. The elevator smelled like old oil/gas for a car.. We were only staying here for one night as we were just passing through. I definitely would not stay here again based on the facility and cleanliness. However the staff was extremely nice

Disappointing Experience I was very disappointed with my stay. The hotel was extremely overpriced considering its condition. The room was dirty, very old, and showed clear signs of water damage in the walls The flooring was also damaged, which added to the overall neglected feel of the place. It’s obvious that the hotel is not well-maintained, and the lack of care is reflected throughout the property. Given the high price, I expected much better. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Overall the room was clean, the beds were comfy, we liked that there was a fridge and a window that we could open to let in fresh air. The room was very dated, old carpeting and furnishings. I guess when you check in online the hotel clerk greeting you doesn't have to provide you with any information i.e. breakfast and where it will be located, dining in the area or where to park. We only stayed one night so it wasn't a huge disappointment but I don't know if we'll be back to stay again.

Great location - very walkable to most of the tourist spots. Room quite dated, well equipped overall but with some broken furniture. Friendly staff. Our last night there was a heavy metal band playing in the hotel (no prior warning of this anywhere). Our room was quite literally shaking from the music right up to 10pm - unacceptable with young children in a family room. Front desk weren't able to offer any solution other than that they would address it with the manager in the morning. We never heard anything since.

LOUD electrial HUMMM in room Gerage parking is tricky, old building, just be careful.. Room itself was good. Bed comfortable. Good food in SooBlaster and @ breakfast. MAJOR ISSUE WITH THE TV. Peak season Colors & Baseball, and no TV. Will not stay there gain.

There was no window except for a skylight. No AC and using the thermostat didn't seem to make a difference. We were on the first floor odd numbered room. I believe the even numbered rooms had windows. They should mention this on their website.

This is a very nice place to stay, especially if you want to take the Agawa Canyon Train Trip. It's very close. Parking is under the hotel but there is plenty of room to pull in between the concrete support beams. We've been in places where you could barely park between them. I recommend staying here. The staff are all very friendly.

Had no house-keeping; after 3 nights I requested: change the sheets & the towels, the sheets were not changed, we slept the 4th night in the same sheets, so we checked out and rented 4 more days from their competition down the same street

The room was clean and we didn't get a room with a view because there were none left. It was a convenient location and walking distance to the harbor locks tour. We rented bikes along the harbor because we missed the tour boat. We only stayed one night. My son was excited to go to the bar for a drink but there was hardly anyone there at six pm. He still enjoyed the stay.

This hotel is in a good location, close to the mall and the waterfront. It was nice to have indoor parking. Check-in was fast and friendly. The hotel itself is a bit dated and well-worn. The room was okay, but nothing special. It was clean, as was the bathroom. There was a good choice of pillows, but I didn't find the bed all that comfortable. The free breakfast was pretty basic, but adequate. The service was good. The hotel is connected to Soo Blaster where you can play arcade games and pool. There is a bar there as well. Overall, our stay was okay, though maybe not memorable.

It was a great stay at the Days Inn! The hotel is downtown Sault Ste. Marie with easy access to the Canyon Tour train, canal historical site and a walk along the waterfront. It was also an easy 5 minute walk to Montana's for dinner. Underground parking was easy to access. We would definitely stay here again!

We liked everything. The hotel was close to restaurants and there was a beautiful boardwalk by the river. Shopping mall was just across the street. The property is situated conveniently within the downtown area. However, although it’s older, there are signs of lack of effort or care in maintenance. The room specifically was not pleasant in appearance. Furniture was pieced together, secured by primitive methods that lacked any aesthetic considerations. The carpet was stained over its life. Fixtures were older with many sloppy repairs seen over time. The bathroom has also seen better days, with huge gaps and cracks everywhere around the laminate tops and plumbing. Quite a few bulbs or lights were not working at all. Exposed wires painted over with time. Rip on a couch. Old aged non matching ceiling tiles in the room. It looked like a repurposed unit made into what was called a 2 bedroom suite. The “hot breakfast“ was the most disappointing item after a somewhat restless night due to a continuous mechanical noise coming from either a vent stack fan or the elevator shaft. Breakfast room was basic with minimal aids at best. It was very apparent that staff are either directed to or at their own discretion cutting corners with basic food items. “Coffee” was more of a brownish water and was undrinkable. Hot items were carefully replenished with minimal amounts only after they ran out and an uncomfortable amount of time has passed to ensure there is no unnecessary top ups. Toaster was annoyingly slow, with 2-3 passes on High needed to make decent toast. Overall, breakfast was bad. Stay elsewhere if you can.

We did not realize the hotel was pet friendly. But seems they honor the specific rooms only because first question was if we had pets. When I explained we did not realize they allowed pets, receptionist said that is why they asked because our reservation was not for a PF room and they were confirming NO PETS. Room was clean, breakfast was good and breakfast host was super nice. Would recommend and stay again.
