What guests think

At Best Western Parkway Inn & Conference Centre, travellers consistently praise the friendly, accommodating staff, clean rooms, and cozy lodge-like atmosphere, while noting the property’s age, with dated decor and occasional maintenance issues such as musty smells or slow drains.

Many guests enjoy the generous breakfast and the on-site restaurant and pub, though a minority report inconsistent quality, higher prices, or slow service. The location is convenient to Highway 401 and nearby shops and restaurants, making it a reliable stopover. Pet-friendly touches and easy parking stand out, but expect an older building without an elevator and occasional facility hiccups like pool closures or limited EV chargers. Overall, it’s a comfortable, service-led stay with rustic charm.

The Best “Best Western” I’ve ever stayed at. It has everything you need on the premises and many options for dining and shopping minutes away. The food at the restaurant was great and I love that they have a pub in the basement with pool table.

Everything we could want in a hotel. Clean, quiet, good size room. The dining room/restaurant and bar were better than most of the ones you'll find attached to a hotel.

Best Western perhaps is best compared to Pizza Hut, it was good in the 1980s. This location used to be a really good hotel. The breakfast buffet is not even a shell of what it once was and there are ants on the table. The most disappointing thing was the pool was closed. Why close the pool in the hottest month of the year, July? Why not work on it in May or October? So bizarre.

The hotel looks very pretty from the outside and and we had a comfortable nights stay. We ate a delicious dinner at the hotel and we had the breakfast buffet in the morning. There was a good selection of food options at breakfast. There are restaurants and a Starbucks within walking distance. We didn’t go swimming. However, the pool was area was nice and the water was warm. The staff were all friendly and helpful.

On a July weekend where the temperature was in the 30's, I was extremely disappointed to learn that the pool was not operational. We specifically chose this hotel because there was an outdoor pool only to be advised at check-in that it was closed.

We made our reservation while heading west on the 401. We wanted a room in Cornwall, Ontario. The Best Western had the best reviews and was affordable. Even though it was late on a Sunday evening, the lady who checked us in was very professional. Our room was a surprise! There was a brick fireplace, wood doors and two refrigerators! The complimentary breakfast was wonderful! We will be back!

Stay was good but was quite disapointed when we showed up. Check-in is at 3pm and we showed up shortly before 5pm and was told our room wasn't ready as they were short staffed and many people checked out late. When asked how long it would take for our room to be ready I couldn't get a straight answer and was told it could be up to another hour. Our plan was to get ready at the hotel before going out as we had reservation later that night so it was quite frustrating and we received no compensation for this.

We stayed here one night The room was a decent size and has everything you need. We went down for dinner, not busy.We ordered our meals, a Chicken Wrap and Salmon. Only issue with dinner was it took a very long time to arrive. I did notice some room service trays going out while we were waiting. And they gave us some bread.Taste of meals was good . The bathroom toilet was leaking out the bottom my husband went down and was given rags. The bathroom door was sticking. The next morning we had showers and the shower smelled like cigarettes. I also noticed the hallway had the same odour. Breakfast, needs improvement. Several tables had not been cleared of dirty dishes , the server told us we can sit where we like, and to help ourselves. This might be one of the worst breakfast buffets I’ve seen. It did not seem overly fresh. Hash browns were a weird consistency, the scrambled eggs were oily, flavorless. Instead of yogurt cups, the yogurt is in a dispenser. Did not try it. Instead of fresh made oatmeal with offered toppings, they provided packets of regular oatmeal. The display of jams was a bit odd . All thrown together in one bowl. Looks messy. The lack of smiles and friendliness from staff was extremely noticeable. A woman during dinner and a woman at breakfast did not even acknowledge us with a “ hello or Good morning”. Wearing business attire , not servers . From two people in the industry. You need to train your staff. Try reading the Book, “ Unreasonable Hospitality “.
