wifi was not good

The staff were really nice and helpful. The room was very clean. The parking is really limited near the hotel. There was additional parking but it was a block away. Very convenient for us to go to the Knitting Factory and didn’t cost to much. The restaurant that they had for the complementary breakfast was really good.

We were happy with our stay but a heads up, if the lounge is important to you, it is closed being remodeled. It would have been nice if this was noted on website.

Clean, comfortable modest room with m/w, fridge and coffee pot as well as custom tiled shower and Hollywood themed decor. The on-site "paid" parking lot is very small, maybe accommodating 14 small to midsize cars and 2 motor cycles. As a single female traveler, I didn't feel comfortable in this area of downtown, to risk losing my check-in parking spot by going into town to dine/shop, before turning in, because I'd have to use an off-site "paid" parking lot and walk back to the hotel alone, so I used Door Dash to order food in and chose not to go shopping. This would not have been an isdue had I not been traveling alone, however. The cafe next door, Rosie's, for which I was given a credit for breakfast was quote good and the staff there were very courteous and professional.

Great value, great location, room clean and remodeled. On site enclosed parking was very nice.

Was not initially crazy about the location downtown. however hotel had a gated parking lot and security. Also discounts to restaurant close by. Very well run complex of businesses

It was a busy night downtown, but Jade did a great job greeting each guest. Parking is limited, but there is a public gated lot very close by and you get a pass from the hotel.

Not a Hotel! This is a motel. Sink wouldn't drain and some black sludge came up. Free breakfast is totally misleading. Its one per room per day. Internet is intermittent. Be prepared to set up your own wifi hotspot. Noisy. Great location though! Nice staff!

Good value. Parking sucked and hood is sketch after dark.

Everything was great, except the wifi was spotty at best.

Beds were comfortable & the bathroom was newly updated. However the carpets seemed to have never been replaced , curtains were dirty. & dusty . It was creepy because it needs a refresh and deep clean carpets didn’t appear to have been vacuumed in awhile

The check-in staff was courteous and kind. The lounge had some good food. The gals who work in the lounge were absolutely great. Super funny and really easy to talk to. The hotel has a deal with the restaurant next door for breakfast. The breakfast is absolutely delicious and so is the coffee!The rest of the hotel wasn't great....The floor in our room had large stains across it. The bathroom hadn't been cleaned. There was someone else's hair and dirty wash rag in the shower. The ceiling right above the shower was covered in black mold. The toilet had to be flushed several time after each use. You could hear EVERYTHING going on outside your room and other people's rooms.

Parking was horrendous, I had to park a block up in a parking lot that was poorly lit and walk past a homeless camp to get to the hotel at 11 pm. The bathroom had clumps of black hair all over the wall and shower (I have blond hair). No one cleaned my room or even gave me clean towels. I was gone all day Sunday and no one checked my room.

Overall it was a lovely experience. The only issue was that the bathroom was dirty with left over hair both next to the tub and on the toilet.

I didn’t like anything about the stay. The photos on Expedia are very misleading. There was stains on the curtains, something I’m hoping wasn’t blood on the walls, boogers on the doorframe entering the bathroom, and to top it all off I’m pretty sure you can see mold in some of the photos I’ve provided. Will never stay there again and will make sure to warn everyone about the conditions. I immediately checked out and went to another hotel which was not only nicer in every way but also cheaper. Ruby hotel is a scam.

This hotel used to be a motel converted to a cute boutique. Now the rooms are worn and falling apart. It’s back to being a motel. My room was dirty, had broken furniture, a broken sink and was filled with flies. Room 104. The restaurant is closed and that wasn’t disclosed. Don’t stay here. I want my money back.

Worst hotel I have stayed! The room was incredibly dirty and old. The non-smoking room reeked of stale cigarette smoke. Let the front desk know at check out and she couldn't care less. Only good point of my stay was Jade who checked us in. They were kind and helpful.

Mildew and hair in my bathroom, small stains on my towels/sheets. Staff was always very friendly/accommodating, and the location is convenient for what I needed. Over all I would stay here again as at the price point I expected this not to be a super clean establishment. Great place for a quick stop/trip.

There was a woman’s hair on my pillow and in the shower

The motel (really not a hotel) was very dated in general. The bathroom had been updated but the toilet maintained the old school “small” size. Bed was mediocre and the room was small. The hotel is L shaped with all the room directly opening to the outside along a shared exterior path. The exterior hallways are carpeted but that is very dated a falling apart on the stairs. The location is in downtown but the neighborhood is not as nice as other parts.

Nice close to everything downtown. Walk anywhere. However traffic a little loud until midnight

I have stayed a few times here over the years. This stay really showed me that this property is in need of a major upgrade. Pillows were awful, mattress absolutely was beyond its service life, and tvs were small and dated compared to many properties today. The outside carpet is extremely worn, which really adds to the worn exterior. I have stayed in the past due to the good price/value ratio. Sadly I think it’s time to move on…it’s just too uncomfortable and depressing.

Clean and comfortable. Really nice updated older hotel in the heart of downtown. Compact, but how much space do you need to sleep and shower. Everything was nice especially the beautiful shower. My only complaint is water flow in the shower. I have heard of low flow shower heads, but this was a trickle

Check-in was easy and the location is central. We really enjoyed being within walking distance of the riverwalk and lots of bars and restaurants. Parking was plentiful and it was only like $5 per day which is a lot cheaper than other hotels in the area. Our only gripe was that it is a VERY noisy area. We stayed over a weekend and had a pretty difficult time getting to sleep. Not sure if its because of poor windows or thin walls but because there are a number of music venues around and we could hear all the music they were playing extremely clearly until about 2am.

When you finally arrive in room, there is a set of ear plugs for the train that goes by every 20 minutes. The room was the smallest hotel room that I’ve ever stayed. While one would sit at the desk, another would have to pass by climbing over the bed to get to other side of the room. Upon arrival the hotel lot was full. We had to park our vehicle in a lot 3&half block area in downtown Spokane. We had confused this place with a sister hotel, the Ruby River Hotel.

The desk attendants were very helpful and friendly.

They never returned the security deposit and gave no reason as to why it wasn't returned.

I really appreciate the front desk staff Daniela (sorry if I didn’t get the name spelled correctly)! The text message service is indeed needed and so easy to communicate back and forth. All of my requests got responded quickly and solved. The location is good for me to attend my conference at the convention center. Hope to go back there again next time!

Called ahead before making the reservation to see if early check in was possible. Was told it should not be a problem, but there is an extra charge and the earliest we can check in is 12, which I was fine with paying since we were flying in early and had a wedding to go to at 2 and normal check in doesn’t start until 4. I book the hotel and call back to let them know this and am told it should not be a problem and they put a note on my reservation. We get there to check in and are told by the rude kid at the front desk that no rooms are available and early check in is not guaranteed. We had to get ready for a wedding in another hotel bathroom! The room itself was fine. You hear some street traffic but they have a bar open at night where you can get food which wasn’t bad. If you need to get in your room early, go somewhere else where it is more “guaranteed”. Luckily we didn’t pay the early check in fee so that’s the only plus.

In the morning the house keeper came into our room without even knocking! We even had the sign on the door "do not disturb". I cant believe Hotel Ruby sent me an invoice for parking!!!!

Clean and affordable budget level motel in a safe area of downtown Spokane super close to all the music venues and theaters. Super friendly and helpful staff!

The gentleman who checked us in was great. The parking situation was not, we just got lucky we got one when someone was leaving. But, three other cars behind us weren’t so lucky. The luggage cart - had a flat tire and it was very difficult to maneuver especially with the extreme tight space allowed in front of the elevator. Our room smelled like a port-a-potty. We opened the windows to let out the musk and sour smell. We turned on the air conditioner and it was barely holding a coolness, even at a low 60’s temp. The sink and area had a really strange metallic odor, even when we turned on the water to wash our hands - we let it run for a while to see if it would disappear. Eventually it did. But, we realized we had to let the water run a while each time. The carpet was filthy. Our socks picked up what probably should have been vacuumed up. We slept on blankets and pillows we brought ourselves. Weary of the bed cleanliness. The best part of the stay was the breakfast vouchers for Rosie’s Diner next door. Their food was delish. The mocha was super good!! And their service was really great. I would definitely go to Rosie’s again. Days later, my bank transactions show Ruby Hotel charged me for the room that I had already prepaid via expedia. I called and spoke with (I won’t put her name here.). But, she said her system has no documentation of charging my card. And that I should just go through my bank to dispute it! She was no help.

The staff went above and beyond to fulfill our request fir coffee, inquiry about extended parking, and after event restroom use. Highly recommend.

For the amount of money they charge thr place is not worth it. There pics are deceiving. The area is not safe. The room felt dirty. The lamp shades were stained dark yellow. I have pics.....did not feel safe walking the dog.

Centrally located near downtown venues and restaurants. Davenport Hotel across the street was fun for a drink. 10 minute walk to riverfront. Pretty nice renovation of former motel. Good parking. Great bed.

Great stay in downtown Spokane. Walking distance to just about everything you could do or need.

No shampoo, conditioner, or body wash in dispenser. Breakfast was not good

Friendly staff, good and hot breakfast, and good location but the place needs a bit of an upkeep.

This hotel is not especially fancy, but it is clean, the location is great, and we enjoyed the free breakfast at an actual diner instead of the usual buffet breakfasts you get at other hotels. We will be back.

Loved everything about this place! The bar was temporarily closed, but there was plenty to find nearby and Jade was super friendly and very generous with recommendations!

My only issue was some minor cleanliness problems. The linens were noticeably dirty upon arrival and the trash can in the bathroom had a mysterious dried-liquid stain on it and the floor underneath. Good location, friendly and helpful staff, one voucher for breakfast per night.

It was a nice stay. However, it was listed as breakfast included. They give you a voucher where one person in your party gets free breakfast. Luckily the waitress worked with us on that Loud traffic since its downtown. Very comfy bed.

Second stay here and Hotel Ruby continues to be our go-to. Funky, clean, hits all the requirements of college parents visiting kiddo. Free breakfast next door also great!!!!
