We were only there for a night and basically just to sleep and shower. The people were great. The elevator situation, however, was ridiculous. Even at 11pm when we returned, it was chaos. When I asked where the stairs were so we could walk to our 6th floor room, we were told that there was no access “for the safety of our guests” at night. E aureus about 15 min for an elevator.

That was a pretty rough trip. If you are traveling with anybody that is elderly and or disabled, do not stay here! They have ine 15 minute handicap parking spot in the parking lot. The rest of the time they expect you to park in their garage, which the staff themselves told me it’s a pretty far walk. So unless you have a wheelchair do not take a disabled or elderly person here! There was a male staff at night, tall and glasses, the only staff that was helping me with my disabled person that was with me and the parking issue.

This wasn’t my first time staying here. But will likely be my last. I booked & paid for a king bed, but when we got there, non was available and we settled for a double queen. However, lot of screwups with the room we were given, one of the bed was dirty with actually dirt on it, bathroom wasn’t properly clean, killed 2 spiders there, no hand soap, list goes on. Full disclaimer on the staff we interacted with, everyone was very pleasant (my son got a cookie both at checkin & checkout). The cleaning was very disappointing, and that’s too much for me

Has the best water pressure I’ve ever experienced at a hotel however the bathtub didn’t drain. The premises were fine, nothing to rave about. The thermostat would turn off randomly in the middle of the day so we’d come back to a hot room which was a bit unpleasant but the room would cool down rather quickly. Overall a mediocre stay but at least the cookies were warm.

The staff was super friendly and room was comfortable and clean with an awesome view. Walls were too thin in our room. We were on the 12th floor with a room with a connecting door to the next room. We could hear EVERYTHING in the next room ... EVERYTHING. Our neighbors were up all night unfortunately. Other than that it was a great stop.

I was unhappy with all of the hidden costs that were required to stay here. Some of them may have been listed on the hotel website, but they were not apparent when booking through Expedia. It cost me $28 per night simply to park a car at the hotel, breakfast was not included in the stay ($25 for the breakfast buffet), and there was a charge to use the Wifi. At this day and age, almost any public facility (e.g. McDonalds, airports, coffee shops) has free public Wifi. It's actually a bit insulting to have to pay for Wifi in a facility where I am paying over $100 per night to stay. Additionally, I did not have a positive experience while checking in. Nothing overtly negative, I just was not provided with much helpful informative and felt a bit like it was a bother for me to ask questions. Facilities were all good, comfortable, and clean.

Fire alarm in my room went off at 5am and 3am (2 separate nights). I called to ask front desk about evacuating and they said that this happens and they will shut it off… what…? Nice way to wake up 2/3 night stay. Bathroom exhaust fan didn’t work and made it almost impossible to see when getting out of shower, so just about fell and took cold showers the rest of the 2 days there. Asked for some type of refund on the room itself, they said unable to through 3rd party. Asked for manager to call me since check out was too early, never received a call back. The restaurant in the hotel smelt like dead fish, and could be tolerated enough to just order your food. Starbucks was good though….

Clean well maintained room. Bed was firm and comfortable. We had a view of the river which was nice. I am allergic to feather pillows so when I discovered we had down pillows I called the front desk. They said they would take care of it right away. We waited almost 30 minutes and then had to leave for the play we came to see. We came back at 11:00 to find no one had brought new pillows. After the play my husband went to front desk and ask again. Twenty minutes later someone finally showed up with only 2. So my husband slept on down. Service could have been better.

Location was good. The hotel needs a make over. It is from 1970. There good steak restaurant was horrible. Sat at the bar for 15 mins before someone said something. I ordered a grilled cheese. It came out burnt with fries cold. The homeless situation is bad. I walked out to a restaurant around the corner and had 2 homeless come up asking for money.

The price of the wine at Spencer’s Restaurant (both red and white) is so over priced! $19.00/glass! For A-Z brand that can be bought for $20.00/bottle! So disappointed. We won’t be coming back to the Double Tree for this reason. You totally take advantage of people on vacation.

The breakfast buffet was outstanding, not the usual run of the mill hotel breakfast. The outside noise in our room on the 15th was unbearable as we were woken up numerous times by traffic noise. King room was very small, bathroom uncomfortably small, and inferior to other hotels in the same price range. The restaurant/lounge hours were very inconvenient, closing at 10m on a Friday night. With so many hotel options in downtown Spokane, I will choose another next time I'm in town.

We arrived early and couldn’t check in because the system was down. After going out for food and coming back an hour and a half later, they were checking people in manually on paper. We waited in a long line another 45 minutes before we could check in. They said we could hang out in the lobby or they’d call us when the room was ready. We had an event to get to so we left. They never called us. We got back late hoping the room was ready. It was, and they ended up comping us a breakfast and validated our parking. Hotel staff were very nice. We got up to the room and it reeked of cigarettes. We were so tired we ended up just dealing with it and went to bed. Disappointed and expected better.
