At Motel 6-Cookeville, TN, guests report friendly service and pet friendly policies, but also dated buildings, inconsistent room upkeep, smoke smells, occasional bugs, and maintenance issues like weak Wi-Fi, spotty TV, worn linens, and low water pressure.

Several reviews highlight convenient access to I-40 and restaurants. Some disliked the steep one-way drive to lower buildings, nighttime activity and noise, and cash deposits with room inspections before refunds. A few enjoyed the pool, while cleanliness ranged from acceptable to poor, with smoke odors, stains, or occasional pests reported. Expect a basic, budget stop with tradeoffs.

Hotel had three levels with a steep one way drive. As we drove down to the third level, the accomodations got progressively worse. Won't stay here or in another Motel 6 again.

Well, just getting to the room was a task. The parking lot made me think of a log road off into a bottom. Two very steep ,rough one lane drop offs to get to the lower leavel. I thought my car bottom would drag. The room was non smoking but there were cigarette burns in the tub and the bedspread. One day we didn't even get any towwels. The next day we asked for them and they just laid them on the bed, not in the towel rach or rest room.ww won't stay there again..

We mainly stayed at this hotel because they are pet friendly. We kept our two mid-large dogs at the hotel - keep in mind they did ask whether we had crates, we did. There is area to take the dogs out and everyone seemed to make sure to pick after themselves while we were there. The room was pretty clean and everything worked in the room. The staff were all pleasant. I appreciated that the front desk lady (I'm sorry I didn't catch her name) called right after we had gotten in to make sure our room was to our liking. Very good customer service. Checkout was seamless. I would stay here again.

We were surprised to check in and find out they had a pool! We really enjoyed the pool, long into the evening, as it was a nice break from being stuck in the car all day. The staff were super friendly, and there were dining options within walking distance. What a great place to stay!

Staff was very friendly! No pet fees. Small but decent area to walk around with my dog. It's an older facility, the large motel 6 sign was laying on the ground, needed some repairs done. Ice machine was outside and had trouble making ice in the humidity. But for a night pit stop during a road trip with a dog, it was just fine. Really appreciated the staff being so helpful and friendly to my pup.

Repaired very noticeably in a manner that was poorly done. it charged me a $50 deposit that I got back the next morning but not until they checked my room, and then they complained about me shaving over the sink because they'd have to clean it up. Does not strike me as being clean at all

The room they initially put us in was a nightmare. Like so dirty and cringy food stuck on the curtains, broken tv, stains on the floor, stains and cigarette burns on the bed and bedding, stains in the bathroom just really not fit for anyone to stay in. When I complained they moved us to a little bit better of a room where the tv worked and there was less stains, but nothing to brag about either. They also make you pay a $50 cash deposit which they don’t tell you on the app and you get there thinking it’s one cost , but no you have to dig deeper in your pockets for more money. Then the next morning they go digging through the room looking to see if a towel or something is missing so they could try to keep your $50. They make you wait while they go search the room. Terrible everything run don’t walk away if you have the extra money pick somewhere else and not this nightmare.

We enjoyed our stay at Motel 6.Our orginal non-smoking room located in building downhill behind the main hotel reeked of cigarettes. It was next door to a smoking room. I think smoke was coming through the wall. Luckily the desk clerk was able to move us to a king non-smoking room in main area. The room was clean with some wear. Cigarette marks on tub, some chipped paint on baseboards, but clean and comfortable. The towels were very new and fluffy. The coffee at the front desk was amazingly good.
