The Westin Waltham Boston

Office park Westin, so expectations were not high. I stay in hotels maybe 40-50 nights a year for work and play, and feel the need to review this one. Accommodated my late (12:15 am) arrival from the West Coast fairly well, though there was no one at the front desk when I arrived (they must have seen me on camera and came out within a minute or so). Appreciated that they gave me a free breakfast voucher. And breakfast was quick/ decent — real-ish eggs! (Not the usual powdered garbage.) Layout of the hotel is simply awful — one elevator bank and then a very long hallway with (closed) fire doors that made me doubt whether there were any more rooms beyond (including mine). I actually walked back and called the front desk to make sure I hadn’t missed something. Room was good / comfortable, if a bit dated (like most Westins). But was annoyed to discover that the sink drain was somehow clogged and water backed up into the sink right away and wouldn’t drain. Good shower and comfortable bed. Iron was old and not wonderful but did the trick. Parking situation was annoying (garage with very low clearance and unclear layout…not connected to hotel so still had to walk across the entry driveway/circle in the cold/rain. Gates were up so at least ends up being free rather than having to pay twenty for a subpar service.

Always a pleasant stay at the Westin Waltham. Rooms are very clean, and the beds are heavenly! Pool and fitness center are well maintained. Paying $20 for parking is ridiculous. It's Waltham, not Boston.

I stayed here for a conference. The rooms are comfortable a bit small but had everything needed for a restful night. Stayed during a busy weekend (2 medical Conferences and college sporting events) impressed with how well managed everything was. Nice gym area with all the necessities and very clean despite how busy it was. And the pool was a hit! Heated and warm. Strongly recommend

Beautiful property sitting on top of a hill in Waltham, Ma. The rooms are quiet with all the amenities. A hot buffet breakfast is served in the morning and there is also a Starbucks Express in the lobby. My number #1 complaint is the garage is detached from the hotel, there should be a FOOTBRIDGE access, instead guests after parking their cars must walk out of the garage across a sometimes windy, snowing , rainy parking lot into the hotel.

Nothing available to eat after 10pm. No room service or bar food! Also no EV charging station in spite of website saying it was available. Very inconvenient.

Loved the room and most of the staff was fantastic. There was a server - possibly the manager - of the restaurant who was loudly complaining about how stressed and busy they were, which was unsettling as we were waiting for a table and then waiting for our food. The family next to us then told us that their orange juice had flies in it, so we declined to drink ours. Otherwise our own server was great and the rest of our breakfast was too. Pool was way overcrowded to the point that we left. All that said, I would give it another stay.

The property was a bargain for what it offered, it was immaculate, and quiet, even though we had the room next to the elevator. The pool was quite warm like a therapy pool which is rare. There was a water dispenser machine with flavored water, restaurant on site. Would stay there again even though it was a bit further away than we wanted to be.

The hotel is convenient to I95 but we were disappointed by a few factors We weren’t aware of the $20/night parking fee. My partner walked up to checkin with me using a cane, and the desk clerk assigned the literally furthest room from the elevator. My second point, it’s frustrating that hotel sites don’t let you choose preferences. A handicap option near an elevator would be our first pick 😂

Hotel was great, my issue with the property is that I had to pay for parking, mind you we are outside of the Boston city limits. I could see a parking charge if we were in Boston.

One night stay in a cross country trip. Easily this was the highest quality hotel we stayed at for around the same prices. Comfortable bed, plenty of room, small fridge, clean bathroom, well-lit, gym was good and clean, parking was $15 but we didn’t mind since there was no pet fee. Will consider Westin again when traveling.

The lobby was a mess. They had some flooding or something. There were several floor blowers set out to dry carpets electric cords where everywhere very dangerous

Everything was excelente. The staff is so woah. The restaurant made excelente and affordable food. The room is spacious and very clean. Gym, pool for free. 100% recommended for family vacations.

We enjoyed a three night stay to attend the Lexington and Concord 250 festivities. The staff was excellent and our room was comfortable and clean. Adjacent parking garage was convenient. Hotel location is right off Hwy 95.

The hotel felt clean, new and very upbeat. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Also, I loved the water filter.

Shower has mildew. The bathroom fan doesn't work. Room was extremely dusty that my son's allergy started to aggravated. We were willing to pay extra to book a lake view room. They gave us a room with no lake view whatsoever and kept telling us if we looked hard enough to the right we would see it. What a joke! I added pictures so the viewers can make the judgements. Bottom line - this is no where near a 2 star hotel and I would not recommend it nor coming back.

It was mainly the housekeeping that was disappointing; beds were barely made one day, not at all the next. The cleaning consisted in emptying the trash cans. Not even the toilet paper was replenished until I asked for it at the front desk.

Hairs on bath tub, dust on air conditioner, noisy over walls day and night. Location is good at the area. Staff are ok though.

The pool was dirty and there was no towels at all. The room we stayed in was nice but rug was a bit dirty.

We felt like we were in a 2 star hotel with 5 star facade. Our room was too far from the elevator. Rooms were old, small and basic. Toiletries were worn out. Breakfast had limited choices. This hotel needs to be redone especially the bathrooms.parking should be free.

Our stay was good. The beds should be queen sizes. I didn’t realize that when making the reservation.

I occasionally have to travel from Vermont to bring my mother to Brigham and Womens Hospital. I usually stay in Waltham. This trip I had my youngest son, my grandchild, and my 80 year old mother. We had a long day at the hospital and then were placed on the eighth floor- rooms 833-834. The beds/frames shake from a shared wall with the staff elevators and there is constant humming.

Bentley mom here. This is our third stay (out of probably 9 stays locally.) it’s become our preferred hotel. This trip though, the bathroom seemed VERY small. Maybe I never noticed? But it’s hard to change in the small space .. and it’s a double room. But great value!

Quiet, comfortable place. Nice shower, and the kind of bed you don't want to get out of.

Overall, would stay here again. Overall there was an issue at check in but that was resolved quickly. Room was clean. Water pressure in the shower was mediocre. Parking was easy at the garage right in front of the lobby

The staff at check-in and check-out and the service team in the Relish Bistro put a smile on our stay! Westin should be very proud of their team at this property.

We arrived at the hotel at 11:30 pm and there was only one person at the front desk. This is a very large hotel and the check in line was long. At one point, the only person behind the front desk walked away and left the front desk unmanned for quite a few minutes. People were extremely drunk in the lobby and a lot of people who did not belong in the hotel. The hotel felt dirty, dated and a complete surprise given that Westin hotels used to be so nice. The word that comes to mind is seedy. The parking lot is scary at night and very confusing. All in all, we will not be returning.

We enjoyed our stay very much. There was a problem with the bathtub, but it was handled quickly even though it happened very late at night. We were very impressed with the high level of customer service given by Laurissa, the front desk agent. She was friendly, pleasant and gave us complimentary breakfast coupons to compensate for our trouble. She also left good instructions for the housekeeping team to pay extra attention when cleaning the tub the next day. Overall our stay was great.

I recently stayed at The Westin Marriott, and while my overall stay was pleasant, I encountered a deeply troubling experience that I feel compelled to share. On Saturday night, August 10th, my friends and I—four Black women—returned from a Missy Elliott concert. As it was late, we decided to eat our delivered food in the lobby, as others were doing the same. However, we were singled out by the security guard, who questioned if we were hotel guests. Even after confirming our status, he hovered over us without asking for any verification like room keys or IDs, making us extremely uncomfortable. When I addressed this with the front desk manager, WJ, he claimed the security guard was checking for homeless individuals. My best friend had luggage in the hotel, and we had ordered take-out food to a Waltham hotel—a particularly un-walkable area. His assumption that we were homeless felt dismissive and discriminatory, especially since we were dressed up for the concert. Adding to the distress, the security guard commented condescending about having children our age when I mentioned being 40. His behavior and lack of resolution were deeply disappointing. I mentioned I was 40 years old because the security guard spoke condescendingly and wouldn’t leave us alone. This unprofessional behavior and the lack of an apology or acknowledgment of our discomfort were deeply disappointing. I hope this review encourages the hotel to create a more inclusive environment.

Great service. Staff member are truly helped me get a cab very early in the morning and was quite persistent when the company wouldn’t respond to the phone number. I really really appreciate this attention to detail.

I didn’t like the front desk staff. I was waiting excessively only to be told to wait longer after finally being registered yet people Who stood behind me were checked in faster than I with a prepaid room. As I reentered after parking my car another female staff member just stared at me akwardly which made my family and I uncomfortable. She never greeted us or even smiled and when I addressed her and said loudly well good evening she just smirked. I wish I got her name as I left. I didn’t even return back for my second night and gave my room to my nephew instead. Very dissatisfied with the treatment I was given and I e NEVER experienced this level of disregard in all of my Marriott experiences being that my sister is an employee there. It was quite disappointing. I will be reaching out to customer service or even corporate based on this experience.

The front desk person was wonderful. She was warm and friendly. It was a pleasant and comfortable stay.

Comfortable rooms, Nice staff, Convenient parking However, it is quite isolated and there is not a lot around the area as far as dining or shopping.

Good option when visiting Boston. Easy highway access to get around. Good value. However, if you want yo be close to harbor, freedom trail and other tourist attractions that is not the case.

Very nice stay and affordable. Room was clean, no weird smells, no noise. We liked the layout of the property, very easy to get to. This is a great alternative than paying much more in Boston; only 18 mins away.

Close to Boston

Great location for us. Parking was available (20 dollars per day) and pet friendly. Couple of decent restaurants in walking distance and room was clean.

Staff was very courteous. Facility is very clean. The complimentary flavored water dispenser in the lobby was a bonus (was fun to try). We chose this facility because there is a rental car service on the property. The area itself is an office park with limited dining options but the restaurants that do exist across the road were good. This was a great place for our brief stay.

Absolutely thrilled with my experience at the Westin. The beds were so comfortable and the room was very clean. We recieved vouchers for the restaurant below for breakfast each morning. I really enjoyed the breakfast buffet and also having the option to order off the menu. I will definitely choose the Westin again.

Room didn't feel super clean. Neighbor had a child that whined and cried for two hours straight. I called the front desk and security came up but it was awful. 2-4am. Cheese in the breakfast buffet was moldy.

Phenomenal rate for such a wonderful hotel. It was nice to have the option of dining on site, thought we only used it for breakfast the following day (included with our stay). Roomy and comfortable, we slept like babies. Loved the “rain shower” in the bathroom and roomy enough to dry my 9yr old w/o banging into the wall. Bonus to be able to order amenities we missed: mouthwash, toothpaste online. The pool was warm and my daughter was basically in there by herself both times. No frill, and not too deep. She thoroughly enjoyed spending the extra time in there with our late checkout, thanks to the staff at reception. Breakfast was great with a la carte and buffet option, luckily we option to take away as we wanted to get more pool time in before checkout. There were 2 restaurants within walking distance from the hotel but we felt like sushi and it was only 8min drive away. We would recommend as well return to this location should we return to the area in the future. Great for family or business travel…would be more convenient with a vehicle. Only constructive feedback would be to post signs by the entrance advising registration parking is en route out etc.

the woman at the desk that checked us in was very serious, not friendly, wanted to charge me for everything albeit the fact we are handicap and we use the handicap parking. My aunt was not given the breakfast voucher. Chris was helpful, friendly, and very nice. The refrigerator made a horrible noise that didn't let us sleep. Children running down the hall at late hours of the night. Parking garage elevator filthy. Buffet poor selection, cold, and took a long time (which most people don't have) to replenish. we were there at 9 am, no bagels, no fruit, no yogurt. When asked the attendants, each of them referred us to the next one. Not worth the price at all.

terrible breakfast

This is the second time I stayed here and I liked it less than them first time. The beds need to be replaced as both times one of my king beds dipped on one side. Although I really liked one of the servers in the restaurant, the food was congealed and unappealing in the breakfast buffet. Also very boring.

Large hotel with lots of dining options close by. Amazing breakfast buffet with lots of choices, cereals, granola and yogurt, cooked items and friendly staff
