Booked a night at Crowne Plaza Midtown Atlanta for 1 night as we had tickets to a musical at The Fox Theater. Check-in started at 4pm. We arrived at 6pm and used valet parking (I’ll get back to this in a minute). After waiting for 25 minutes to check in, I was told that they had no rooms clean and I would have to wait. Was given 25-30 min time window for our room to be ready. After 7pm, we were told that our room still was not ready. We had to leave our luggage with the valet and change clothes in the hotel lobby restroom- which had no toilet paper, no paper towels and only 1 of the 3 stalls was in working order. After arriving back to the hotel after 11:30pm we finally got into our room. No hand soap, no toiletries, mildew in the corners of the tub. Not what was expected from this type of hotel. Upon checking out the next morning, informed the front desk of the state of our room. They offered to refund my valet parking ($50 value) but then when valet went to get my car, I was informed that someone had busted out my back window of my vehicle. So after a police report and zero help/contact or information from valet or hotel, I am now doing all of the leg work to get my window fixed. I usually have decent service with IHG hotels (I’m not super picky, just be clean) but after this experience, I’ll stick with Marriott or Hilton from now on.

Stayed here this past weekend and wish I booked refundable. The AC barely works and the room was humid and musty smelling. The pool area is terrible, no shade. The staff are great and so is the location especially with the MARTA train stop nearby, but I will never stay here again.

Rooms were not cleaned and ready at check in time. I had to wait 2 hours after the 4 o clock check in to get a room. I booked a king suite but had to settle for a standard king with no fridge due to the long wait for the room and I had an event that I ended up being late to. My understanding is the hotel was sold out all weekend but management allowed late check outs. I also understand the service elevator went out which caused the delay on cleaning rooms. At least one guest elevator should have been commissioned for the housekeeping staff in that instance. I also witnessed packs of toilet paper being dropped off at the front door, which indicated the hotel was out and someone had to go purchase more from a local store. Everything screamed poor management and planning of the facility. This location receives influxes of guests for conferences etc on a regular basis. There is no reason people should have still been trying to check in at midnight when we arrived back from our event, or an older couple was sleeping on a couch in the lobby. No accommodations, such as a breakfast voucher were offered.

This property is a fraud! It looks nothing like the pictures online. The rooms smell mildewy. The pool wasn't working and my balcony door was sealed shut. I chose this hotel for the roof top pool and the balcony and couldn't use either one. The connecting door that led to another room, the lock on it was broken. Every time I let my room, I had to get another key because it stopped working which was extremely inconvenient. The elevators don't work properly. We got stuck on the elevator twice which was very scary. This was the absolute worst experience at a hotel in my literal life! A refund should be given due to not being able to utilize any of the hotel perks!! Zero stars!!!

I was not told that the balcony was sealed off. I stayed on the 5th floor room 516 and time I stepped off the elevator I smelled nothing but mold. In the room the lamps by the bed would blink on and off like a strobe light and mold was on the shower. My stay here was not up to my liking at all. I will not book the Crowne Plaza ever again.

The staff is amazing! Very accomodating and friendly. They have a great, welcoming personality! Unfortunately the property is outdated and needs many repairs. There is red mold in the shower grout. The shower in my room was slippery and the water pressure was very weak. It was an "assist" room and I would not recommend it for someone that really needs a "safe" room to shower. I slipped in the shower and hurt my shoulder on the last day. They do not supply a bath mat unless asked to do so. I asked after the first night and then it was not repeated the third night when I arrived back from work. I had a hard time navigating the bathroom "experience." The sink faucet was broken and the light was flickering. They fixed the light, and then it began to flicker again the last night. I did not mention the faucet because I didn't want the hassle and I felt that I complained enough. I worked through it. I like the location to the Marta. And the rate was very low but it goes up in January and I would not pay $100+ more for this experience. I which I could take the staff and put them in another location...They were great!

The hotel is located near many restaurants and things to do but the hotel is extremely outdated and needs renovations. The lobby was dirty was trash and dirt on the floors. The furniture had stains. The room was even worse with stains on the bedding, a dirty bathroom floor and the shower curtain was also stained and dated. The wood furniture had stains and chips. And the bathroom sink had a leak when you turned it on. It was definitely giving motel and not hotel.

I was not pleased with my stay. I was there on a couple vacation and the first room I was placed in was discussing. The shower had mold in the tub and the ceiling. Water damage on the wall. White solution stains on the carpet. Mold smell in the room. Stains on the sheets. Mold on the balcony door. And dirt/trash in the hallway right by the front door. I then was moved to another room that wasn’t as bad but was still nasty. The maids never came and brought new wash clothes or towels. We had to go downstairs to get them. I ended up staying in my boyfriend room and not using mine at all. The elevators wasn’t working most of the time. Maintenance had to take you to your floor because the key cards wasn’t working. The pool was closed our entire stay. The valet parking was a nightmare. I was late to most of my appointments and reservations because they never bough the car in a timely manner. One time they lost our keys and didn’t know who had them. Overall I was very disappointed with my stay.

The room was not clean. There was evidence of the previous people stay. There was use K cups on the ground. And a use towel on the floor. The bathtub had had mold in the conners and on the floor. The bathtub leaked very bad. We complained but no one ever came up. This was not clean place. We refused to use the shower. The rooms need a lot of repairs.

The hotel was in a great area, especially if you are going to an event at the Mercedes Benz Stadium. We ended up walking back after a football game. The room was simple. Everything you need is available, except a refrigerator. But the room was dirty. Hair in the corners in the bathrooms. Stains on the pillowcases. The floor in the room. Definitely needs more attention. Also my husband woke up the first night with some type of bites on his arm, and back. The next morning he had a bite on his face. We are thinking bed bugs. Either way, we did not feel the cleanest while staying at this hotel.

There was only one lamp in the entire room. The headboard had reading lights on either side, and one wasn't working. One of the lights in the bathroom was burned out as well. There was no microwave or mini fridge in the room, which I didn't think still existed in hotels at this day and age. While the bed was very comfortable, none of the other furniture was. Not to mention the wifi was unreliable, so if you have a meeting you're trying to sit through in your room, I hope you have a personal hotspot. I stayed on the 16th floor, so I can't say anything about the other floors, but the grey wallpaper with grey carpet and generic sepia skyline art at either end of the hall felt more like a hospital or nursing home than a higher end hotel. It also made the wear and tear that much more noticeable. Breakfast was incredibly overpriced. $20 plus tax for a generic buffet was ridiculous, and don't bother paying in advance through a third party site. It doesn't carry over to your reservation. The bar was just as disappointing, as the bartender and the kitchen were slower than Christmas for bland, overpriced products.

We chose this hotel because the price was right and it was in a good location, walking distance to Bobby Dodd stadium and many restaurants. The MARTA station is right across the street. The service, however, was terrible, and the room was lacking a refrigerator, only had 2 working USB charging ports, a ripped and stained sheet, and not enough towels ( even though I was promised housekeeping would bring some..they didn’t.) Shower temperature was consistently lukewarm at best. Staff was very courteous, but I’m guessing they were very short of help, which seems to be an issue everywhere. There was also a LOT of highway noise throughout the night and we did not sleep well.

only 5 tv channels worked, Carpet did not look like it had been cleaned in weeks, light bulbs were burnt out, Phone did not work, AC was set at 69 degrees and the room never cooled below 71. No mini refrigerator available considering the price. Ice machines were on the 7th and 9th floors, but my key card would only allow me on floor 8.

When we arrived it took over an hour in a half to check in because the line was wrapped around the lobby. Once we got checked in and up to the room, the key did not work so we had to go back down stairs. Once we got a key that worked and got into the room, several lights and the T.V. did not work. Luckily my husband figured out that the tv wasn’t plugged and the antenna wasn’t plugged in. The room only had one towel, one wash clothe, and one hand towel. When we returned for the evening to get in bed, we realized it was only a flat sheet on top of the mattress that kept coming off. The sheet also had spots on it. When we went to go get the extra set out of the closet there wasn’t anything. My husband and travel a lot but this was our first time ever staying at a Crowne Plaza. We chose it because it was close to the even we were in town for. I will never stay at a Crowne Plaza again.

This property was understaffed and could not handle the amount of ppl that were booked the weekend of March 28th. The rooms were not cleaned well. The room keys were deactivated prior to checkout time. This caused several guests to have to go back to the front desk to get them re-activated. While they were apologetic, this was an unnecessary inconvenience. The breakfast restaurant was also understaffed on Sunday morning. I felt sorry for gentleman as he tried to accommodate everyone. My room had a broken iron and no ironing board. We were unable to access the floors where the ice machines were, if you weren’t staying on that floor. I was told to get ice from the bar. I do not recommend this hotel. Do not stay here.

The Front Desk person seemed confused with the reservation. Slow check-in. Couldn’t understand him. Remote for TV in room didn’t work. Called front desk. No one ever answered. Even put the receiver on the table and checked back…it was still ringing! Went downstairs to get batteries for the remote. He didn’t have any, so he said he would send engineering up. Waited over half an hour and went back down. I was ignored until I made my presence known. Maintenance finally came up with a new remote. It wasn’t programmed so I ended up watching my programs on my iPad all evening. The light in the bathroom wasn’t working. It kept flickering on and off. They had nothing in the rooms to let you know what amenities are available, ie, menu for the in-house restaurant. That was the only good experience we had. They had a good mushroom Swiss burger and fries.

Does not live up to the name of Crowne Plaza. Staff was great but they were terribly understaffed everywhere. Valet was lined up several times, only one waiter in the 1st floor restaurant (2 mornings in a row...shout out to Bobby holding it down with customer service and class despite the poor working conditions), one person checking in on the overnight which caused a long line of exhausted patrons.The restaurant and lobby were humid and hot. The elevator was working intermittently and made really loud noises during operation. Did not sound safe. Wi-fi was basically unusable. Windows to closed balcony in our first room had shattered but wasn't replaced. Snack area computer wasnt taking cards so you had to charge to your room. Owners should really consider putting some money and staff into the place instead of refusing a long list of payment types.

I travel often and this was the worst experience I have had. Waited 3hrs to check-in in a lobby with no a/c before being told they could not check anyone in. While waiting to check in heard customers complaining about trash in the halls, dirtiness, etc. The hotel said they would give a refund since they could not check me in, they assured me it was done but could not print a receipt. House cleaning almost nonexistent. We didn’t have towels from Saturday to Monday. Not just dirty , they took them and didn’t bring any back. Didn’t replace coffee items nor leave toilet paper. Wasn’t just us as I saw others asking for towels. Carpet in room had some goo on it. Public restrooms in lobby dirty with trash on floors. Valet was nice and efficient. But then double charged us for every day. Kitchen and bar people just wanted to leave early.

I booked this hotel over a month in advance. I arrived at 4pm—standard check-in time—and after waiting in a long line for about 30 minutes, I was told there were no rooms available and I’d have to wait about an hour. I was in town for a concert and couldn’t wait, so I had to get ready in the downstairs bathroom and leave my bags in storage. When I returned just before midnight, the lobby was packed with people clearly also waiting for rooms. I was again told there were still no rooms available and they couldn’t say when or IF one would be ready. Over 30 people were waiting, and the staff was completely unhelpful—rude, dismissive, and showed no empathy for anyone's situation. When I asked to speak with the manager, I was told they refused to come out. When I asked how do they know who is to receive a room first when one became available, they said "I couldn't tell you" and they had no system. I waited nearly 12 hours total before finally receiving a room around 3am—just a few hours before my early morning flight. No rest, no chance to enjoy the room I paid for. And when I did get a room, it was disgusting: mold on the walls, dirty sheets and floors, peeling paint, and it reeked of cigarette smoke—despite being labeled a non-smoking room. This was one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone. Completely unacceptable and not worth a single dollar.

Customer service was not up to par... if you called, they would put you on hold and never come back. If it would have happened once, it would have been okay, but you had to keep making repeat calls, and still didn't get any help. If you plan on eating breakfast, it's not complementary unless you sign up for it? I was not aware of this and was told i would have to $22.00 to eat.

This was my first time staying at this hotel and it was absolutely terrible when I got there 3 1/2 hours before check in time there was a line wrapped around the lobby only two employees checking people in very slowly no direction there was an employee at the front desk on her cell phone not checking in Customers. We were unable to check in. We had to leave our belongings in our car to go attend the event that we had tickets for when we returned at midnight, there was still a long line with only one employee that was very rude. Did not explain anything was not helpful or accommodating. We requested extra towels and blankets and toilet paper because several people were saying that they had not had them in their room. We were told that we needed to get into another line where security was helping with that after we had already waited in line for an hour When we got to our room we had hand towels with hair all over them. The bathtub was dirty. There was no blankets or towels. I contacted corporate several times to attempt to get a refund and I have not heard back yet when it was time to check out the next morning there was another line in the customer service was absolutely terrible. The only employees who are friendly and helpful were the valet team.

We arrived at 5pm, when we were allowed to check-in at 4. It was a mad house, people had been waiting for hours to check in, rooms were not ready, and we had to wait another hour for our room to be ready. We were in town for a concert, and because of the delay, we missed the first band. I stay in a lot of hotels, and this is the first time I've ever been able to check in because a room isn't ready. There was only one person at the front desk for check in. There were about 12 people in line. It was very slow. We had one towel set in our room when we arrived. My wife and I shared a towel. It took us to the next day to finally get some more. The hotel needs refurbishing. It's old and dated. Breakfast was not the best. There was a party going on in the room next to us. We finally called down to the desk at 11:30 PM and asked them to do something about it because it was loud. They sent security up and the noise did reduce. You can easily here the next room through the adjoining door.

I stayed on the 16th floor, so I can't say anything about the other floors, but the grey wallpaper with grey carpet and generic sepia skyline art at either end of the hall felt more like a hospital or nursing home than a higher end hotel. It also made the wear and tear that much more noticeable. Breakfast was incredibly overpriced. $20 plus tax for a generic buffet was ridiculous, and don't bother paying in advance through a third party site. It doesn't carry over to your reservation. The bar was just as disappointing, as the bartender and the kitchen were slower than Christmas for bland, overpriced products.

The hotel is in a convenient location, but overall a bit worn and unkempt. The A/C in the room was noisy and the bathroom not clean. The Expedia booking we made included a breakfast add-on, which vanished from the system. So no breakfast 😟

The bar that is in the lobby has rude staff. The food is terrible and overpriced.. The drinks are horrible as well and way overpriced.

Lots of sirens and noise in the evenings. The both sit down dinning options in the lobby are very over priced. Hotel store has food and drinks, but not even Tylenol or nail clipper. Room and hotel was overall clean and well maintained. The computer system runs slow much to the frustration of the staff. Nice hotel, but very average experience for the price.

Good location…property in pretty good shape. Good restaurant in lobby open for dinner…restaurant service could be a bit better, possibly due to understaffing. All in all, pretty good stay.

Customer service was not up to par... if you called, they would put you on hold and never come back. If it would have happened once, it would have been okay, but you had to keep making repeat calls, and still didn't get any help. If you plan on eating breakfast, it's not complementary unless you sign up for it? I was not aware of this and was told i would have to $22.00 to eat.

Not enough staff - 30 minute wait to check in and I was the 4th person on line, 20 minutes to get a drink at the bar restaurant, one person as bartender, waiter and busboy, no hot water in the shower just lukewarm, the rooms are worn and dated as Re the public spaces, no lobby coffee stations and the coffee shop was never open

Hotel was nice was very clean close to everything we went to ... only thing is our tv didn't have signal majority of the time. so when we came in to unwind and watch tv, it was not a signal. Also we were told it was contential breakfast but not that you had to pay for it.
