La Quinta by Wyndham Danbury

There were several things that we liked very much about this hotel. Number 1 was that they had an electric charging station. The bathroom had a night light, but was very small while the room was spacious. The breakfast was very run of the mill. The standard powdered eggs and waffle maker. Our biggest complaint is that there sign is not lit up. It is very difficult to see the entrance as it comes up very quickly off the highway. As it is on a one-way busy street it was a long loop to get back. They need to fix their sign.

Affordable room with a decent breakfast. Beds were not very comfortable for my. Husband and I. Bathroom was a little run- down but everything worked. Good location. We were pleasantly surprised that they offered a charging station for EVs. We got 100% charged overnight!

Everything was satisfactory for us. The room was clean and the bed comfortable. It seems like they are making some improvements/upgrades...the kids loved the pool and the arcade was a fun addition. Staff was responsive when we asked for something.

Hotel has different wings, so separate hallways to separate elevators seemed to make it quieter. Very bright and welcoming lobby, spacious breakfast area. Outdoor pool looked nice, but did not use. Adjoining restaurant was not open.

Outward impression was questionable. The property is located on an awkward intersection and you can’t see it if you are approaching from the south. The parking lot was pothole city and the was a guy in a hooded sweatshirt smoking marijuana outside the building. Inside was a totally different matter. Everything looks new, bright and clean. Unfortunately the restaurant is still being built/renovated and won’t be open for a couple more weeks. There were other restaurants nearby. Complimentary breakfast was good.

Nice place, second visit. Got to use the pool this time and it was great. Parking is a bit of an issue (or inconvenience) on the property. The hotel often has a promo with the attached restaurant and arcade which add some extra fun to your stay. Bed's are good but on the firmer side, which is okay for me, but not for my partner

The hotel is an older one but still nice. The staff was so helpful and very nice. We chose the hotel for its outdoor pool area. The pool could use new lounge chairs, the ones there are dry rotting and not sturdy. The rooms were useable but a little outdated. We did switch our room because the first room smelled pretty musty. The staff was awesome and showed us two other rooms, we went with one that didn’t smell. We enjoyed our stay and works go stay again.

Friendly, welcoming staff. Room was clean and comfortable. Easily accessible from the Interstate. Nicely maintained property, pet friendly, good breakfast offerings. I would stay here again.

Arrived after a very long difficult drive to a friendly reception. Check in was quick & easy. Our room is large and spotless. We come here every year; they never disappoint.

Disgusting! Had to change rooms due to blood stains on the sheets Wrecked our night! Place is realbad, real old, and not worth the money!! We were tempted to leave and sleep in the car. NEVER AGAIN!

"Freshly clean room" had dog poop on the floor upon entering.

The hotel hall and rooms had a faint unpleasant smell. Free breakfast was so so. Direct TV service was spotty. ESON & ESPN2 were listed on the channel guide but there was no picture. Completely lost the TV service and had to have maintenance reboot it. Overpriced for what you received. On the positive side the lady who checked us in was very nice and helpful.

The hallway leading to the rooms had odor of mildew

We found underwear from a previous guest in the bathroom. This clearly indicates the room was not properly cleaned.

Very outdated and smelled. One day we had no housekeeping. Smoke detector battery was beeping continually at 4:00am. Took the battery out but it kept beeping bc it was wired into the wall. They said they didn’t have any batteries to give me and maintenance doesn’t get there until 7:00am. We had to pack up all of our things at 4am and move to another room. We could hear the beeping down the hall at noon the next day.

Noisy heater sounded like a jet engine going on and off. But the room was cold and no blankets on the bed. Breakfast was blah with runny eggs and really bad coffee. On the good side, it was clean.

Room clean, older building. If you have dogs limited area to walk them. No green space. Street in front of hotel high traffic and very noisy. Bring earplugs.

Very outdated

Our first room did not have a working TV. The clerk sent a maintenace guy to fix it but he could not. We had to have our rooms switched. Secondly, there was one tissue in the tissue box and only one little soap. Upon checkout, I had to find the clerk in the office looking at her phone and I asked her a question, she answered it and continued to sit in the office looking at her phone.

Most things were good. Unfortunately, the matress was shot. It felt like it was jumped on by a thousand horses. The edges were intact, but the center was shot. It was sunken in the middle like a bowl.

Older property but well maintained. Good sized room for the money. Clean. Breakfast is pretty minimal (cereal, bagels, scammed eggs and sausage links). Internet was very unstable. Was a hindrance in trying to get work done.

AC sound is loud.

When we got in the room we were very happy with the size. The tv was over by the couch and chair so from bed our heads had to be turned the whole time watching it so we would rather it be on the wall in front of the bed that was empty. We had ice packs for our cooler but we couldn’t keep them frozen because the refrigerator didn’t have a freezer. The main thing that was a problem was the toilet wouldn’t flush good. The water would come up so high and when it went down the toilet paper half the time wouldn’t go down so we called for someone to come look at it. The maintenance man flushed the toilet and said yeah that’s how it works it’s old and they are planning on remodeling each room closing off one floor at a time I think he said in October not sure about that. The next day it was stopped up so I called again and the lady (through me for a loop) and said come to the front desk and I’ll give you a plunger now I’ve never been asked to do the work of a maintenance person before but then I thought maybe she’s trying to save me the embarrassment of someone coming into the room but getting a plunger from the front desk and walking with it to our room is embarrassing so who knows. The parking is really tight . We do still like this hotel it’s clean the people are nice and friendly the breakfast bar is very good. There’s a Van’s sports bar and game room attached to the hotel. It’s close to our family.

Mattress was sagging in the middle and was uncomfortable sleeping.

No empathy. We got into a car accident and were unable to make the reservation. So you don’t offer a refund? Mind boggling! Do better!

The staff were fantastic. Every dept.

Night staff not great, day staff kind and efficient. Hotel has not been kept up. Everything looks like its been the same since the 60s. Breakfast was mediocre at best but they did have nice fresh fruit. Towels thin, toiletries limited, tiny soap, no lotion. They need to upgrade everything. .

Diane was incredible at the front desk, and went out her way to find my Wyndham Rewards account. She made a point of saying hello to me at breakfast as well. She was a highlight of a very long moving trip, and definitely made it a whole lot better!

I highly recommend you avoid this property. Staff were rude and treat you like an inconvenience. You definitely get what you pay for. I can’t wake up on the bright side if I can’t actually fall asleep. Next time I’ll sleep in the Denny’s parking lot…

Wonderful Hotel and Friendly staff, Thank You!!

Good location. I have stayed here before and had good experiences. This stay was awful. Had to change rooms due to the toilet “screaming” when flushed (staff was very accommodating). The second room’s air conditioning wasn’t working - temp would not go below 78. The toilet took 3-4 flushes to work. Asked the next day to be fixed. That night, no changes. Maintenance finally came late at night and said everything was working. It wasn’t. I opened a window because the room temp went up to 80 degrees during the day. We stayed 3 nights. It’s a shame - I really liked it here but this will be my last stay.

Form the start the experience was terrible. They charged my debit card twice but told me I could not check in because the charge was still pending, so I had to put down a credit card. But I couldn’t give them a credit card over the phone so my partner had to drive over to the hotel to drop one off. The shower shelves were falling off the shower and the rooms smelled like a nursing home. They proceeded to charge my debit and credit card for the stay, so I had to call my bank and spend a good hour sorting the whole thing out. Would NOT recommend, there are other hotels roughly the same price with much better service.

Check in desk was very professional and friendly. They were willing to do anything to ensure we were satisfied.

The front desk staff was awesome. We got ill and had to change our plans. The woman at the desk was so helpful.

The property was safe and well looked after. Great place if you are hauling a trailer as they have a parking lot specifically for trucks and buses.

Bed comfort and overall room appearance was excellent. Breakfast was fair, with eggs that did not look freshly made and would have preferred English muffins as an alternative to white bread or bagels. Also, more fresh fruit (instead of the few oranges on offering). Likewise, parking was limited. And some noticeable road noise in the early am. That being said, overall, the stay was good value for the money.

We stayed here last year after reading the great reviews. This year the property seems to be not as fresh. Our room was on 1st floor and the carpet had an odor. The biggest problem was getting into the property during commuting time. It took 3 tries and because we were so tired from our travels it was extremely frustrating. We will find a different hotel next time.

Clean, staff friendly, signage at the entrance from the road could be more clear. Entrance from busy road and easy to miss.

We enjoyed our stay. Easy location to get to off/on the highway. Vans Pizza and Beer Bar in the lobby area was very good. Breakfast was a good selection of hot and cold items. Room was clean and the bed comfortable.

The website said there was a restaurant at the hotel but it had closed permanently. We were really looking forward to sitting in the restaurant and not having to drive anywhere since we have been driving all day. Otherwise everything was fine.

This was a good basic hotel. Good for the price. Beds were comfortable but the air conditioner was loud. Bathroom was small but there were good towels. Breakfast was decent but there weren't any potatoes.

Room was comfortable and clean. Check in was very slow. Also breakfast was not very good (running eggs, mushy sausage, etc).
