What guests think

Cleanliness is often praised, though some guests report maintenance issues, dated bathrooms, or occasional odors and mold. Several note renovation work or hallway activity causing noise. Amenities such as the pool and gym are appreciated, but hot tub or sauna outages and added costs for parking or breakfast are common gripes. Very nice to stay in this quality hotel. With exception to the one problem we encountered with air port picking up. Need more clarity on when and where to pick up arrivals. We waited at door c13 for over 30 minutes. Then found out we have to go to door g34 to be picked up.

We chose to stay at this hotel because they advertised a free shuttle from the airport. Our flight arrived late in the evening. After a long wait no Marriott shuttle arrived at it’s appointed location at Terminal 1 at Pearson Airport. Shuttles for all of the other airport hotels came and went leading us to think our ride would come. Eventually we phoned the Marriott Airport and learned that their shuttle shuts down after 2:00 am. We had to get a $30 cab ride to the hotel location. Reception desk staff refused to do anything for us. I checked the Marriott website and it was silent about the shuttle shutting down for hours in the early morning. Disappointed by the misleading information about their services.

Hotel is great. But don't relay too much on airport shuttle as ut is most of the time too crowded. Great experience overall

Lots of mold in the shower, I'm assuming because there isn't bathroom ventilation, and the drain isn't in a good place. This hotel was insanely loud, the room doors from the hallway have a wide strip at the bottom so sound travels into the rooms, and the doors slam shut- so heard really loud doors slamming, and tons of hallway noise all night. Also you need to be a rewards member to get wifi.

We stayed there on our way to and back from Barbados. When we left I sneezed for 2 days solid and when we got back the same thing happened to me as well. I looked under the sink and there was mold all around the floor and wall. I did take a picture and will be contacting the Marriot. Because of this I was not well for 4 days.

What happened to the complimentary breakfasts that used to come with a nights' hotel stay? For the price you pay, you'd think they could give you a selection of muffins, yogurts, etc. for free. But no. Everything is an upsell these days. The room was dirty, including the walls. Front-desk people were not extra friendly, either. Bed was comfortable but that's about it. Rooms are dated and need renovations.

They are renovating this hotel and rightfully so. I have stayed here twice, once in a renovated room and recently in an older one. Older rooms are really dated. My desk chair was broken and I wouldn’t dare sit on the couch. It is fairly clean though, and incredibly comfortable beds. Additionally it has a great restaurant downstairs. I’d be okay staying here again but would like to see a more renovated room.

My check-in experience felt very transactional, lacking warmth or hospitality. The hotel itself is quite old and doesn’t justify the rates they’re charging. There are several nearby three-star options that are newer, cleaner, and more modern. This was my first stay here — and it will be my last.

The check in process was not good ! They actually told us we couldn’t stay because they apparently couldn’t use our virtual visa to pay the deposit even though the room was already paid! Also charged us double amount for the deposit because we had to use the debit machine! The whole process took and hour and half and that was dealing with the manager! Next day I asked for a late check out the front staff worker told me no and gave me us 1230 it was 1145 at this time ! The alarm clocked didn’t work in the room nor did wake-up call service apparently! So my family rushed to be out we got out at 1245 to only learn that she actually gave us till 2pm and if we are done by 1 she wouldn’t charge us the late check out fee I offered to pay as well! What kind of staff does this! Purposely lies to your customers! Didn’t tell us how to use the elevator also that we needed to use the key card to access it to go to our floor ! Never again will my family stay at any Marriott and especially this one! Disgusting customer service just rude and ignorant and for no reason at all! Disgrace to the hotel because it was beautiful place !
