Stayed 2 nights

I had never stayed at a Super 8 before, but the ‘Wyndham’ name suggested an upgrade from my pre-conceived notion of the name. The first room we were checked into was not even cleaned from the previous guest. We were given an upgrade (?) to a 2 queen room. Not sure that is an upgrade in my world. The bathroom was in poor shape with mold on the floor mouldings and the toilet paper roll rusty and barely hung on the wall. Tired carpeting, light bulbs burnt out, wall plugs that would not hold my chargers in. We stayed 2 nights (family visit in Kelowna) and when we returned home late in the evening the 2nd day, our used coffee cups were still at the coffee machine with no replacement cups or coffee etc. Continental style breakfast was the offering.

Great value for the price. Our stay included a very basic breakfast that was adequate. Staff were friendly and room was impeccable. I recommend this Hotel for anyone looking for great value in West Kelowna.

This hotel has been turned into a place to house homeless people. I’m sure that’s why it’s one of the cheapest. I saw a few sketchy people in the lobby but no big problems happened, thankfully. Would I stay there again? In a pinch I would. It was fairly clean and the bed was comfortable. I just think that you should know that you are staying in a homeless shelter. You can actually google this and find out.

All staff were excellent, especially the reception, when I booked the room it was suppose to have a walk-in shower as I am disabled and we didn’t get one but they were able to find us a room that had a walk-in shower. The rooms were fairly clean except the bathrooms could have been cleaner. Beds and pillows were very comfortable. Breakfast was typical free hotel breakfasts, nothing too special, all pre-made and warmed up. What was very odd was on Sunday morning there were private swimming lessons taking place in the swimming pool, we felt like we were unable to use the full pool.
