Great design that isn’t like all the other hotels. Nice in-room amenities and location is close to the action without being *too*close. Service was also really friendly and helpful. Would definitely recommend. My only complaint is that the pool is very small.

Fabulous hotel!!!! Loved everything. Only downside was $30 for parking, but it was nice to have our car close and safe. Highly recommend this hotel. The bar/coffee shop is so cute. Great vibes!

Unique and fun stay. Went with my 8y old, and he absolutely loved it. The room was very spacious, and definitely a unique cute place. Atmosphere was great and the staff were very helpful. Visited the fitness area, which was great & had a couple of peloton bikes, the pool was a little on the small end, but they provided beach balls to make it fun. The coffee bar/bar was really nice & had a fun upstairs hangout as well. Overall have nothing negative to say about this place. Would definitely stay again.

Just a nice property. Staff was nice and bar staff was excellent. Parking garage accomodates large trucks turning in with a hieght of 8' but the turn getting out is too tight had to back out into a handcap spot so that i could get straight to get out other than that it was a great stay.

This hotel is a hidden gem, so close to the nightlife in downtown , minutes. The room was very comfortable, I really liked the bar area, and swimming pool. The swimming pool is not very big but perfect for catching some sun and cooling off. Plenty of loungers and or lounging area at the pool. Check in was great, The hotel was very clean with secure parking in the garage. I will stay there again when visiting Austin.

Great place. The coffee/restaurant area is beautiful and drinks & food are delicious. The staff was kind, pool and outdoor facilities were beautiful. The two bedroom suites was great for our girls getaway! Parking garage is a bit difficult to get in and out of but great to have.

The hotel is so well appointed. Many social spaces, bar, library, outdoor space, pool and the best hotel gym thus far. Everything was perfect except we were put in a dog room without our knowledge. We realized because there was dog hair stuck to the rigs and my room mate was having breathing issues. The room was otherwise very clean. I would definitely ask for a non-animal room if I stayed again.

Overall, it was okay, good ambiance and amenities to add on. The lobby and common areas were beautiful. The rooms themselves felt very stringent- not really cozy or ideal for lounging around in. The bed was also uncomfortable and you could hear the housekeeping team chattering in the hallway early in the morning. Not obnoxious, just thin walls. Bathroom floors don’t have rugs or mats and are glossy cement. I slipped and was fortunate that my roomie caught me before the ground did.

Colton House hotel is very beautiful, family friendly with nice set of toys for kids in the lobby, in comfortable for our family location! Nice decoration, well structured. We had nice and specious room with everything what you need to feel like home. BUT the floor in the room was unexpectedly duty even though it was washed before we came into the room….the rest was nicely cleaned! And the restaurant has very poor food choices on our taste. I hope management will reconsider flooring cleaning supplies with less chemicals and more results.

We had issues with our first room and they accommodated us swiftly without question. The only negatives were the beds and the smell. The third floor had a very strong odor; something like mildew or mold. It was very unpleasant. The beds were very hard and the pillows were not comfortable. Otherwise, it was a nice stay!

Our room was very far from the coffee/bar area. Also, the doors are very heavy, so we could hear doors slamming shut most of the night. Lots of noise in the hallways. Very nice hotel, clean rooms, and comfy bed, but not a place to stay if you want to sleep.

My husband and I enjoyed this wonderful, boutique hotel. Our room was comfortable and modern. We were impressed it had a refrigerator and kitchenette. Staff were responsive and courteous. The grounds were enjoyable, with a coffee shop, a study for reading, and a poolside. Would definitely recommend!

Really well appointed rooms, chic and comfortable! The rooms are a little noisy with road traffic and concrete flooring, though the rugs help. Love the pool/patio off the restaurant. Recommend, especially with a group or family.

We had a great time with the room. The room was great and everything looked clean, up-to-date, and comfortable. The only issue we found was that there was a buzzing noise that we heard throughout the night and we have zero clue what it was. Also, all morning we could hear loud noises from the walls that I suspect were the pipes. We also could hear the room service cart down the hallway pretty loud. So the insulation is not great. Overall, we enjoyed everything else and would consider staying again.

This was my third time staying at the Colton house. Overall I love this boutique hotel. However I encountered some of the worst coustomer service that I have ever experienced. The barista/ bartender was so incredibly rude and insulting. I tried calling the general manager twice but no response to my two messages. Won't be returning

Staff was excellent and worked with us to make our stay more enjoyable. Chastity at the front desk when out of her way to help us switch rooms due to our son's mobility issues. It was much appreciated! The hotel has a great vibe and the sitting areas and coffee shop are beautiful. Nice location to access everything in Austin without being right in the middle of a bunch of craziness.

We absolutely LOVED our stay here. The location was even better than we imagined, easy access to so many great places. Super clean, incredible service all around, spacious room, wonderful communication and the list goes on. I read SO many reviews before selecting this hotel and the good ones were all spot on, I can't find a single thing to complain about. We will be back!

I had been out and I was tired so I go into my room around 3 AM(mind you I was not visibly impaired at all) and then SHE COMES KNOCKING ON MY DOOR AT 4:30 IN THE MORNING to "check on me". I asked her if I had done anything wrong and she said no, so I asked why she insisted on harassing me and she says, "I won't anymore ma'am." I was in shock. I've never been treated this way in my entire life and I have a lingering suspicion that there was an undertone of discrimination that lead to this. I was a woman staying in a room alone. I hadn't done anything wrong, and I didn't deserve any of that. I paid for a room just like everyone else did. It made me feel really really sad; I couldn't have been more respectful yet I received exactly the opposite. You guys can do better; no one deserves to be so obviously singled out like that without cause whatsoever.

The staff was amazing. I had a rough travel day and was greeted by Isaac and a young woman with long. linden hair (sorry I can’t remember her name). They were amazing, and so friendly. I got settled in and went to the bar. The bartender Melanie greeted me with, “The front desk called down and said you’ve had a bad day, and that your first drink is on the house.” How lovely! She was awesome, and my bad day turned into a nice, relaxing evening. This property also deserves mentioning. It’s absolutely beautifully decorated and very unique. My room had two beautiful beds, a tufted leather sofa, a dining table, fridge, etc, and a stunning luxury bathroom. Very unexpected! The outdoor space is very cool as well, with a fun pool area and garden for relaxing. The bakery/espresso bar was good for morning. I would stay here anytime, and recommend to anyone!! Beautiful, unique little spot!

This was a fantastic boutique hotel. I'm so glad we were able to stay here. The hotel itself is located a good 15-20 minute walk from the shops and restaurants on South Congress. The hotel staff were amazing. Our flight had gotten in early and we went to drop off our bags before check-in and we not only were able to check in but we were fortunate to have been upgraded. Our rooms were spacious, clean and pleasantly decorated. The coffee shop and bar were also very good. Although we didn't get a chance to try, the food truck smelled fantastic every day. I would definitely stay here again!

Great location. Very helpful staff. Room set up work well for work or family. Convenient grocery store. Busy street so not great for pedestrians. Family friendly spaces throughout. I really wanted to like this place. It had quirky decor and a unique vibe. But as a business traveler arriving at 8:00pm, I was disappointed that the Taco Truck,(aka the totality of their dining options) wasn't operating due to mechanical trouble. After 8 hours of work the next day, I checked with the front desk at 5:00pm to confirm that said Taco Truck was in operation. The answer was YES! But at 6:30 I learned that the Taco Truck stopped serving at 5:00! The bartender took pity and gave me a complimentary drink but...

Second time we have stayed at Colton House. I love that it’s a small hotel. It’s always quiet and other people in the hotel respect that as well. Lots of places to just sit and relax and read. That’s whats great and hard to find in new hotels. We tried both the bar/coffee and the food truck this time around. Both very good. It was a nice place to start our night. We had a few cocktails at Simonas while we figured out the rest of our plan and La Taquicardia was our lunch for the following day. This is my favorite hotel in Austin like I don’t even bother looking at any others.

Great place. The coffee/restaurant area is beautiful and drinks & food are delicious. The staff was kind, pool and outdoor facilities were beautiful. The two bedroom suites was great for our girls getaway! Parking garage is a bit difficult to get in and out of but great to have.

We loved the Colton House. The room was very spacious, comfortable and immaculately clean. The space was quiet and peaceful and the common areas, patio and pool were super cute and also very comfortable and peaceful. The hotel is relatively small so we never felt crowded and everything was spotless. The staff were all lovely and helpful. It was overall comfortable and relaxed and we felt right at home. Only downside is the location which is just a bit further down from all the buzzy happenings on Congress, but future development will probably catch up to them.

What a great, little-known secret hotel. Don't judge by the lack of curb appeal. The rooms are great, large, open, full kitchen and even tea kettles. Real coffee cups and silverware and plates. I would absolutely stay here again.
